* In ''VideoGame/EternalSonata'', the StandardizedLeader avatar character Allegretto is noted for this in a game where none of the other playable characters are really noted for this type of behavior. Examples include poking fun at his younger companion, Beat, and running off and sticking his fellow party members with a job to do while he fetches another party member, a cute girl. The game's UsefulNotes/PlayStation3 UpdatedRerelease goes a long way towards making him more of a JerkWithAHeartOfGold by omitting at least one scene in which he displays some heavy jerkass behavior and heavily altering others or adding additional material to portray him in a more favorable light.

*** Seth Burroughs in Chapter 1, while still [[spoiler:following Yomi's orders in the end, considering Yomi is the reason for his corrupt behavior]], covers up the Nail Man case and frames a watchmaker for it for his own sadistic glee, and threatens a public execution for the watchmaker with little regard for his or anyone else's life. He threatens to arrest Yakou Furio, the leader of the titular detectives, solely because they decided to investigate what he's trying to cover up and he has to hide his ''own'' corruption as well, and when the time limit runs out, he unnecessarily mocks him for thinking he had extra, as if what he was ''already'' doing wasn't cruel enough.

*** Martina Electro in Chapter 2 laughs at Yuma for thinking that the truth matters, then goes on a hammy rant that MightMakesRight to his face when [[spoiler:Karen, the chapter's victim, dies onstage during a school play]], and clearly shows no concern for the truth or why it happened whatsoever.

** Being the head researcher of [[EvilInc Amaterasu Corporation]], it's inevitable that [[spoiler:Dr. Huesca is quite the jerk himself, as he is a MadScientist who shows no regard for human life, constantly insults everyone around him, and is apparently willing to challenge an entire governmental faction with the idea that he could complete his own homunculus research before they could. While his clone doesn't learn of the results, and even if his original self is the one that had a HeelRealization, it's very clear that this man would not really care for who gets harmed with his experiment unless he had to suffer the {{Karmic Death}}s that he did.]]

* ''VideoGame/MasterDetectiveArchivesRainCode'': Yomi Hellsmile, the director of the Amaterasu Corporation Peacekeepers, is a rude, violent, narcissistic jerk who only upholds the law in the way that benefits his own ends, and constantly twists the truth to keep his public image afloat, without regard for the lives of other people. He's also a BadBoss, and doesn't care for his own subordinates either. It's mostly because of his apathy towards everyone around him that Kanai Ward is in the state that it is by the present day. This is taken to extremes when [[spoiler:he uses Yakou Furio as a pawn to kill Amaterasu Corporation's head researcher for betraying him six months ago solely because someone who works for him dared to actually rebel against him, something he most certainly didn't want.]]

** One that springs immediately to mind without sparking a huge debate is Arch Druid Fandral Staghelm. He has a FreudianExcuse- his son was killed during the War of Shifting Sands-, but is rude, bossy and unappreciative to ''everyone'', both players and [=NPCs=]. The only people he seems to care for at all are his son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.
