It stars directly after ''Fanfic/MyNameIsCinder'' and it details the efforts of Cinder to assemble a team that will help her take down Beacon Academy and attain the Fall Maiden’s powers. Cinder gets an apartment in Mistral from Salem's resources and she takes in Emerald and Mercury to live with her while she trains them and prepares them for her grand plan.

* ADateWithRosiePalms: Emerald is [[CaughtWithYourPantsDown caught masturbating]] after Cinder leaves her alone in bed. Mercury later jokes about Emerald doing this.

* AmbiguousDisorder: While Mercury implicitly calls Cinder a sociopath, it's clear that her issues are much deeper than that. (Plus, he never meant it as an actual diagnosis.) While she is extremely sociopathic, she also has some other symptoms that show how damaged she is due to her mother's abuse.

* BuxomIsBetter: Emerald admits to being size D. One bar patron brings up Emerald's breasts and asks if they’re real. [[spoiler:Another girl tries to cop a feel when Emerald is drunk and [[PervertRevengeMode gets her wrist broken for it]].]] Cinder used to feel jealous about Emerald being bustier than her.

** Emerald’s fanservice factor gets less focus in this story, but it is still prominent. See BuxomIsBetter.

** Roman can't help but notice how good Cinder looks while she's [[SexyWalk walking away from him]]. [[spoiler: He later is convinced to keep working with the White Fang when she offers to sleep with him.]]

* CanonDefilement: Averted, As of Volume 8, the fanfic fits within the main story. However, the story never comments on Mercury dad’s taking his semblance away.

* VillainousAromanticAsexual: The tags describe Cinder as asexual. She only uses sex as a way to manipulate others. While she regularly has sex with Emerald and shamelessly engages in PDA with her, she states that sex never holds her interest. She also has no problem seducing men if it gets her something she wants. She attempts to do this with Roman [[spoiler: and later sleeps with him]]. Roman says he doesn't believe her consider the fact that she has sex regularly with Emerald [[spoiler: and showed much enthusiasm while having sex with him]], but she admits that if she's going to do something, she might as well be good at it. That includes sex.

** Roman compares Cinder to [[Fanfic/RomansEmpire Kincaid]] a few times. And he's not wrong since they're both sadistic, power-hungry, manipulative, [[MsFanservice sexy]] sociopaths. The only difference is that Cinder is [[{{Asexuality}} disinterested in sex]] and Kincaid was a notorious pervert.

Not as much as Brigit was to Cinder, but she does start emotionally and physically abusing Emerald. Even Mercury lampshades this near the end of Chapter 8.

* YourCheatingHeart: [[spoiler:Cinder and Emerald end up sleeping with other people over the course of the story. Cinder sleeps with Roman to keep him working with the White Fang, something that she doesn't feel guilty about. Emerald ends up sleeping with Mercury in a moment of impulse and feels terrible about it. It's only Cinder's reassurance that she doesn't care if she gets sex if she needs it as long as she is devoted to her (and you can probably see the irony of that).]]

** Mercury shows his attraction to women throughout the story, and [[Fanfic/TheBlackHearts his near-hook-up with Cobalt]] is mentioned in Chapter 19. Emerald even outright states that he's bi.

* FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse: The story goes to some great lengths to show that her FreudianExcuse is completely irrelevant as her ego and lust for power grow.

* ShameIfSomethingHappened: Roman does this to the police commissioner when he brings up his wife and daughter. When the commissioner tries to threaten him by extending his sentence, Roman tries to make it ambiguous to say that [[LoopholeAbuse he isn't threatening them just by saying that it would be bad if something did happen to them]]. He's not really implicating himself in his logic. Later when he's released, he mentions Branden's wife and child by name [[EvilGloating to taunt him.]].

** Mercury shows his attraction to women throughout the story, and [[Fanfic/TheBlackHearts his near-hook-up with Cobalt]] is mentioned in Chapter 19.
