Also, he has no problem openly threatening his life several times and he doesn't actually mourn his death either, seeing it only as a loss that could derail the war efforts.

* LoveIsAWeakness: He claims that the care Jedi show for the clones troopers is a weakness.

* IKnowKarate: During his final confrontation with Obi-Wan on Utapau, he exclaims to Kenobi "[[YouFool You fool!]] I have been trained in your Jedi arts by Count Dooku!" Followed by General Grievous using [[MultiArmedAndDangerous all four arms]] to [[DualWielding wield four lights at once]].

* FantasticRacism: An interesting variation as Grievous does not hate a specific species or even force wielders in general (as he has no hate towards Sith), but rather all Jedi and views them as filth to be eradicated. While he had a more legitimate FreudianExcuse in ''Legends'', his reasoning for this is largely left unexplored in canon.

* IncurableCoughOfDeath: This was mostly due to his cybernetics, though it doesn't hinder him in any noticeable way. Though in ''Legends'' this was done when Mace Windu crushed his chest with the force, severely crippling him and would explain the ''considerable'' BadassDecay by ''Revenge of the Sith''.

* MadeOfIron: He's ridiculously durable, with very few things outside of a lightsaber or the force, [[MageKiller which he is specifically used to dealing with]], are able to even enough to slow him down.

In ''Legends'', Grievous had a DarkAndTroubledPast, as he was an unwilling victim of Separatist sabotage and was further put through extensive experimentation, including an attempt at induced Force-sensitivity and a severe brain alteration that made him as violent and as loyal to the Separatists as he is commonly shown to be. In the canon, Grievous has a MysteriousPast instead.

Grievous launched a successful resistance campaign to push out the invaders and eventually attacking their own colony worlds. The Yam'rii approached the Senate and claimed that they were innocent and through some backroom dealings managed to convince the Jedi Order to send a taskforce to put an end to Grievous' conflict: completely unaware that Grievous and his fellow Kaleesh were the actual victims. Grievous was thrown in jail for years while Kalee underwent an economic downturn as his people slowly starved to death, [[KarmaHoudini and the Yam'rii got off scot free.]]

* MadeOfIron: He's ridiculously durable, with very few things outside of a lightsaber or the force, [[MageKiller which he is specifically used to dealing with]], are able to even enough to slow him down. In fact, he was this even before becoming a FullConversionCyborg. It's mentioned in the ''Legends'' continuity that he actually survived his assassination attempt by Dooku with only minor injuries, and had to have most of his body damaged more to make the attack look more devastating than it was.

* WallCrawl: In "[[Recap/StarWarsTheCloneWarsS1E10LairOfGrievous Lair of Grievous]]", he gets away after Kit Fisto cuts off his legs by crawling along the walls and ceiling using his arms like a gaint murderous spider.

** In ''Revenge of the Sith'', when escaping the ''Invisible Hand'', he launches ''all'' the escape pods, thereby dooming the ship's Neimoidian crew members in an effort to kill Obi-Wan and Anakin.

** Indirectly, Palpatine directs the Jedi to the planet where Grievous is hiding so he can be killed to end the Clone Wars.
