Isn't Grievous' boast to Kenobi a retcon? Because he says "You fool! I have been trained in your Jedi Arts by Count Dooku!" To... Kenobi. Who has not only fought Grievous many times in the Disney canon, but knows that Dooku trained him. There's really no need for him to proclaim this now (he states it as if it is new information), so it seems like it's kinda been contradicted by later installments

Is Grievous really not loyal to Dooku at all? I believe he has some case of Depending on the Writer (but don't wanna turn this into an edit war), because he boasts about being taught by Count Dooku instead of making a claim bolstering his own skills, he actually begins to question Palpatine's statement about the clone wars coming to an end with citing Dooku's death (which is unlikely to have mattered to him if he only purely hated him and brush him off as he does with all his other CIS allies) and he clearly does pay some measure of respect to him in Massacre, both when Dooku appears before him and listens to Dooku's urgency.
