Removing Nature's Madness example since when compared to Chi-Yu and Chien-Pao that hits incredibly hard, they get more mileage out of it especially with the terrain nerf. It may be Tapu Koko's best option for Ground-type, and not having rely on Focus Blast's shaky accuracy in the case of Tapu Lele.

** While the StoneWall Tapu Fini may get some mileage out of Nature's Madness, the other three have high enough offensive stats that most of the time, their other attacks can shave off a lot more than just half a health bar.

** Its backstory is quite similar to fellow lab-created battle machine Mewtwo: Both were modeled after a Mythical Pokémon that is said to be the origin of all others. Both were created to be the perfect fighting machines, and both went berserk and became nearly uncontrollable. The biggest difference was that Type: Null's creators did eventually find a way to control them, while Mewtwo's creator... didn't. Further similarities can be found with Mewtwo's depiction in the first Pokémon movie; as since Mewtwo's power could not be controlled, a special device was put on it to decrease its power and make it manageable, but it failed to work, and Mewtwo broke out of it. Type: Full could not be controlled, and a helmet was put on its three specimens to decrease their power and make them manageable. Two of them eventually break out of it.

* AchievementsInIgnorance: Pyukumuku has Unaware as its hidden ability, which lets it ignore the status buffs of foes through being too dumb to notice that they exist.

* MakingASplash: It's a Water-type sea cucumber Pokémon.

to:

* LethalJokeCharacter: In a similar vein to Wobbuffet. Pyukumuku is a harmless-looking Pokémon which has overall low stats save for high defenses, and it can't defeat foes except through indirect attacks or counter attacks. Despite this, it can be highly effective at stalling out opponents — especially ones that rely on status buffs, since its Unaware ability lets it ignore them. It gets moves like Recover to keep itself healthy, Swagger to confuse the foe and potentially make it hit itself harder, and Block to trap its target until it's been eliminated.
* MakingASplash: It's a Water-type sea cucumber Pokémon. However, the only Water-type moves it's capable of using are Rain Dance and Soak, both of which deal no damage.

* UselessUsefulSpell: It's able to learn Quash, a doubles support move which causes the target to move last. However, Quash doesn't have any increased priority, and because Pyukumuku is the slowest Pokémon in the entire franchise, it'll be unable to use the move until the target has already acted anyway.

* ArmoredButFrail: Great 135 base Defense, poor base 60 HP, meaning moves that bypass its defenses make short work of it.

* ArmoredButFrail: Great 135 base Defense, poor base 60 HP, meaning moves that bypass its defenses make short work of it. It's also an example of this trope in-universe — it relies on its shell to block attacks, as the hole on its chest is vulnerable to attack.

** To Mawile, another Pokémon with an over-the-shoulder stance. Turtonator's Dragon-typing is ineffective against Mawile's Fairy-typing, but it's Fire-typing is highly effective against its Steel-typing. Turtonator's back provides defence, while Mawile's provides offense. Turtonator is large and weird-looking, while Mawile is small and cute.

* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: Bruxish's Pokédex entries state that it hunts Mareanie, being unbothered by its spines. In-game, Bruxish's Psychic-type attacks are perfect to defeat the part-Poison-type Mareanie and Toxapex, with a Strong Jaw-boosted Psychic Fangs being able to rip right through their defenses.

* MultiformBalance: Since Type: Null and Silvally have identical stats except for Speed, Type: Null has a competitive niche as a hideously-bulky MightyGlacier with Eviolite and its Battle Armor Ability, though it is held back by its somewhat narrow movepool and is obviously outclassed by Silvally without Eviolite, since Battle Armor is fairly situational. Silvally is faster and has a better movepool, but its RKS System Ability does literally nothing unless it holds one of the type Memory Discs, which have no other purpose than to invoke RKS System to change the type of Silvally itself and Multi-Attack, forcing it to choose whether it wants to effectively have no Ability or no held item.Arceus may also be saddled with a similarly-useless-outside-of-specific-held-items Ability, but at least its Plates boost the power of moves of their type by 20%, letting Arceus get some benefit from its held item slot; Silvally's Memories don't even get that much.
