Salutations. You can refer to me as Tarb for short. Long story short I'm a fic author whom writes what I do because it's what I enjoy and I love entertaining others. Currently my project is the "Amalgam'verse", a Shared Universe I started with a crossover of (of all series) Godzilla and My Little Pony; namely with the big Alternate Continuity I created for the world of the former. My Tropes are:
- Darker and Edgier: Averted with pride. Great stories can be dark, they can be grim, they can have Downer Ending, realism, and grit. However, I'm very much of the opinion that being grittier than sandpaper, shoveling on death, forgoing silly aspects, and ignoring the fun side of a fictional world that has is does not automatically make the story good. It doesn't make it smarter, more real, and better than stories that don't. A good story is a good story, tone be damned.
- Shown Their Work: I feel like a total loon if I didn't double and triple check my facts. Even small mistakes make me feel just silly in hindsight. If it's a subject I'm invested in, I'm going to research it the best I can.
