So the artificial Devil Fruit that Kaido's people are eating are like copies of a copy.

* WrongContextMagic: Most Headliners have eaten [=SMILEs=], which are artificial Devil Fruits that aren't as complete as a Zoan Devil Fruit. Unlike a standard Zoan, the headliners don't change into an animal and hybrid form but are either stuck with some animalistic body parts, or can transform part of their body into an animal part or an entire animal.

* MadeOfIron: Dinosaur Zoans are notoriously tough, cases include Page One who takes a direct hit from [[MegatonPunch Luffy's Elephant Gun]] and only comments that his jaws almost dislocated afterwards. Similarly, Ulti gets hit directly by [[spoiler:Yamato]], who knocks her out with one hit, but she gets up almost immediately afterwards, ready for more.

* PrehistoricMonster: All six members have Devil Fruits of the Ancient Zoan variety, which allow them to transform into prehistoric creatures (most of which are dinosaurs), while their hybrid forms are more humanoid and monstrous-looking. Ironically their group shares this trait with the All-Stars/Lead Performers, with whom they most certainly do not get along.

* WrongContextMagic: Their [=SMILEs=] don't seem to work like 'real' Zoans. Instead of transforming between human and animal states, they have had animal parts manifest on their bodies in strange ways (i.e. turning one's hands into ram horns). They also only manifest in fully-mutated form and have no hybrid ability, though a skill SMILE user can at least turn the transformation on and off. Furthermore, while there is only one natural variant of any devil fruit, there can be multiple functioning copies of a [=SMILE=] fruit, like six horse [=SMILE=] users or animals that have a corresponding Devil Fruit, like the giraffe and the elephant.

* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: There are two female members of the Tobi Roppo: Ulti and Black Maria. While they both have a very feminine look, Ulti's is brash and aggressive while Black Maria is a femme fatale.

* AnimalMotif: Who's-Who's crew-members, who have a cat-theme. They are either cat-looking or wear a pair of cat-ears and a cat tail, this goes in hand with Who's-Who's Devil Fruit, which allows him to transform into a sabertooth tiger.

* FantasticRacism: Who's-Who makes derogatory comments about Fish-Men and calls Fish-Men history the "history of slavery" while asking Jimbei some questions, but his attitude and the way he treats lightly slavery doesn't endear Jimbei the slightest. Instead, it makes Jimbei counterattack harder than before.

* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Who's-Who doesn't realize that making light of a species horrors and hardships in slavery isn't exactly going to endear Jimbei to answer his questions. Once Jimbei starts countering him with more fiercer attacks, Who's-Who is puzzled why he got angry all of a sudden. [[spoiler: This is especially ironic considering Who's-Who mentioned he was tortured in prison after his failure to protect the Gum-Gum Fruit.]]

* StrongAndSkilled: Unlike some of the other Tobiroppo who mainly just rely on combining their Zoan transformation with a signature attack like Ulti, weapons and tricks like Black Maria, Sasaki and X Drake or just using their brute force like Page One, Who's-Who actually has mastery of [[spoiler:Rokushiki techniques as a former member of [=CP9=] and equal to Rob Lucci]]. This compliments his fight against Jimbei, who uses Fishman Karate instead.

One of the Tobi Roppo, Ulti is a very talkative and sassy girl who doesn't back down from a verbal quarrel. Despite this, she appears to care for her brother Page One and is extremely loyal to Kaido.

* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Although Ulti is actually older than Page One, she's much more childish and less mature than him and Page One is perpetually annoyed by her antics.

* AntagonisticOffspring: Although he's Kaido's son, he's been inspired by Oden and has taken up his desire to open up Wano's borders, hence he's opposed to Kaido. The first thing Yamato does in his debut is to rescue Luffy from Ulti. Yamato is already against Kaido's intentions to have him take Orochi's place as shogun of Wano, and eventually disowns Kaido upon after learning of the latter's willingness to kill him.
* AscendedMeme: Yamato is popular for his design, with some gravitating towards the only fanservicey part of it - his breasts being so large they stick out of either side of his haori. This ended up coming full circle when Oda himself responded to a request he received via SBS asking him to draw a personification of Yamato's sideboob, to which he obliged - indicating he is aware and approving of the memetic status of Yamato's chest. He does, however, say in the same SBS that the amount of mail he receives asking him to draw Yamato's sideboob or even topless with their breasts out is almost disturbing.

Momo's arc revolves around accepting his role as shogun while Yamato's arc revolves around rejecting that same role. ** Momo and Yamato both inherited Oden's will, albeit in completely different ways. Momo takes after Oden at the end of this life, wanting to lead Wano as its shogun. Yamato, on the other hand, takes after Oden at the start of his life, wanting to set out to sea and go on adventures. Yamato and Momo having two different ideas on the kind of man Oden was can largely be attributed to how they knew him. Momo knew Oden as the wise, patient man who was his father while Yamato knew Oden as a bold adventurer from his writings. Yamato and Momo both [[spoiler:gave up 20 years of their lives for Oden's ideals]], but once again in completely different ways. The fact that [[spoiler:they gave up the exact same span of their lives and are now both the same age]] drives this home even further.

* HiddenBuxom: Yamato debuts wearing a haori large enough to completely conceal his curvaceous figure, which increases the surprise factor during his unmasking. It's revealed after tearing off the sleeves that Yamato has breasts so large they can be seen from either side. A later scene has Yamato open their haori and tell Momo to hide in there, revealing his boobs are even bigger than his head. In the anime, this scene also shows Yamato engulfing Momo with them, showing Yamato's boobs to be so big they actually fit an entire child between them (which makes sense, given Yamato's stature).
* HoldTheLine: After Kaido announces to have knocked Luffy off Onigashima, Yamato runs to the roof and takes his place to fight his father, rightfully believing that Luffy did indeed survive his drop into the ocean and will return to continue the battle against Kaido.
