* AccidentalHero: In "Inspector Ollie Allen", he accidentally rescues someone and defeats the crook who was holding her hostage.
* AmbiguouslyBi: Normally he's only seen interested in ladies. But at one point when he's trying to get Bernie off weed, Bernie says he'll suck his dick if he lets him have some. Ollie tells him that he can suck his dick, but he's not giving him any weed. Then he spreads his legs. At another point, him and Bernie are forced to take part in bondage games and told to act like dogs. When Ollie sniffs Bernie's butt, Bernie tells him that just because they were ordered to act like dogs doesn't mean he has to go that far. Ollie was unaware that he had been asked to do anything.
* AnimalsHateHim: If an animal appears in a subplot involving Ollie, it's a sure bet it will attack him at some point.
* ButtMonkey: The biggest in the show. He's been beat up by his sister, humiliated by Vice Principal Magna and/or tormented by his mother. Plus, the writers have fun giving him the possibility to get cheered up by Ivy.

* TheChewToy: Poor guy can't seem to catch a break. The guy's been attacked by teachers and barely beaten up by [[{{Sadist}} Turner Fledge]].

* DumbassHasAPoint: Although he lives up to the first part, he does have his moments of making accurate statements. For instance in "Little Baby Ollie", he pointed out to Bernie that it wouldn't be safe for him, a paralyzed man, to drive.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: His friends seem to only hang around him because there's no one else to hang out with and tend to ditch him or start drama with him at the drop of a pin. He's prone to the same treatment when one of them is under the limelight.

* HisOwnWorstEnemy: Many of his problems are due to his stupidity, naivete, inability to learn from his mistakes, and to a lesser extent [[ItsAllAboutMe his ego]]. In "The Chosen One(s)", Dr. Katz sorta even calls him out on his self-destructiveness.

* JerkassHasAPoint: He's no AllLovingHero, but sometimes he actually says something accurate. In "New Kid on Campus" for instance, he states that captain Wowski is an "asshole". While he was kinda harsh, it's still made extremely clear that Wowski is a textbook jackass.

* DudeMagnet: Like her best friend [[{{Sadist}} Dahlia Possumcods]], many men have been attracted to Cleo. Notable examples include Bernie, Turner, Zach, and Brody.

* TheDitz: Both are incredibly stupid and are by far the biggest idiots on the show, given that Bev eats raw bacon, Andre jacks off while putting guns in his mouth, and both [[EyeScream stick pencils and pens in their eyes]] as soon as Andre signed up for Bev's health care plan. Even the dumbest characters on the show (Ollie, Bernie, Cleo and Andre in particular) are geniuses compared to her.

* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Andre is the huge guy to Bev's tiny girl.

* StacysMom: Multiple monsters throughout the show try to court June, but to no avail. Who's going to blame them though? Fans all around the globe wish they could get into June's Pack, not Ollie's.

* AliensAmongUs: He's a cat-like being from another dimension who lives in Ollie's closet, with Ollie's family believing him to be an ordinary housecat. He also occasionally puts on disguises to intermingle with people.

* TheChosenOne: He is literally referred by this title, being the latest in a long line of people who have been tasked by Captain Wowski with protecting the Monster Pack and dealing with the monsters that come out of it.
* GratuitousFrench: He occasionally peppers his speech with brief French phrases, possibly as a nod to the show's Canadian origins.

* KidHero: An ordinary middle school student who deals with the monsters that escape from his BagOfHolding when not doing average kid things.

* AmbiguouslyBrown: She has darker skin than either Ollie or Bernie, but her ethnicity is never stated. Making things even more ambiguous is that she has blue hair.

* OneOfTheBoys: Both of her best friends are guys and she's the only girl among her family's many brothers.

Ollie's other best friend. A nervous, logical, and intelligent boy who acts as the voice of reason to Ollie and Cleo. While not much of a thrill-seeker, Bernie still manages to have a few surprises of his own up his sleeves.

* TheBore: He is sometimes seen as this by his friends due to his interests in less wild activities compared to Ollie and Cleo.

* MentorArchetype: He trains Ollie in his role of Chosen One and protector of the Monster Pack, and occasionally dispenses advice for Ollie and his friends. However, his approach is very lackadaisical, which he himself acknowledges and tries to improve on.

* SternTeacher: He has little tolerance for any disruption at his school, especially if its from Ollie and his friends, but he is nonetheless fair and well-meaning.
