* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Nago is arguably characterized as an inversion of Masato Kusaka from Tosahiki Inoue's previous work ''Series/KamenRider555'' Both are the secondary Riders who were at odds with the main Rider and both possessed a warp sense of justice. However, unlike Kusaka, who remained a jerk and hostile to Takumi from start to finish, Nago gradually developed into a JerkWithAHeartOfGold after learning of Wataru's identity as the current Kiva. For added bonus, his Rider name "IXA" is the 3 last letter of "Kaixa".

* {{Expy}}: Arguably a less hateful (and infinitely less jealous) version of [[Series/KamenRider555 Masato Kusaka]]. Even his Rider name, "IXA", is the 3 last letter of "Kaixa".

* TheSociopath: Apart from his cruel ruling of Fangire laws, King is definitely one regarding his "love" for Maya: he initially claims that he doesn't love her, but seeing her have feelings for Otoya made him very entitled to her being his, even trying to threaten her with Taiga's life, take her Fangire powers, claiming it to be worser than death, and attempting a TakingYouWithMe on them.

* BettyAndVeronica: The Veronica to Yuri's Betty for Otoya's Archie.

* DarkChick: The lone female of the Checkmate Four.

* HighHeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:Although she wasn't very evil to begin with]].

* ContraltoOfDanger: [[spoiler:She sounds rather deep when fighting in her Fangire form]].

* WhipItGood: His fighting style alternates between fencing and whipping.

* BadassBaritone: Has significantly lower voice when using Garulu and Dogga forms.

* ArmorPiercingSlap: Gave a hard one to Wataru [[spoiler:when the poor man tried to assure himself that Taiga and Mio being Fangires were all a dream and that his scars are caused by falling off the stairs]].

* ShesGotLegs: Once in a while, her front skirt slit reveal her legs. Especially when running.

* AmbiguousDisorder: In contrast to his extroverted brother and father, Wataru initially has NoSocialSkills and a lack of common sense, doesn't know how to regulate his emotions, prefers to live in isolation, only shows interest in finding odd ingredients for his violin, tries to protect himself from allergies that only exist in his head and needs a middle-schooler to take care of him, but none of that changes the fact that he's both a capable fighter and gifted musician, all of which are evidence that Wataru might very well be the first autistic Kamen Rider.

* WeaponOfChoice: [[CoolSword Garulu Saber]] in Garulu Form, [[CoolGuns Basshaa Magnum]] in Basshaa Form, and [[DropTheHammer Dogga Hammer]] in Dogga Form. He can use all three in [=DoGaBaKi=] Form and Emperor Form, and later obtains the Zanvat Sword.

* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Both Wataru and [[Series/KamenRiderDenO Ryotaro Nogami]] are the main Riders who were started with introvert personality prior to their character development. While Ryotaro heavily relies on being posessd by his Imagin companions to fight before he became strong enough on his own later on, Wataru is a capable fighter from the start although he listens to Kivat's advice for strategic battles.
