* {{Bokukko}}: Kyubei was born female, but uses "boku" as [[UsefulNotes/JapanesePronouns first-person pronoun]] because they were raised as male. This is used to conceal their biological sex in their introduction arc; however they continue to use it even after the GenderReveal. At first, it's because of their confusion over their gender identity. Eventually, they come to identify as neither, and continues using "boku" presumably out of habit.

* {{Keigo}}: He generally speaks in a very polite manner, using ''masu'' and ''desu'' instead of the short dictionary forms usually employed in normal male-speech.

* ContraltoOfDanger: Kyubei speaks with a very deep voice and is one of the best swordfighters in the series.
