And against Kikako he at first was going to have Kuroha distract her until he could get behind the former to hit her harnest. But when he sees Kotori tying herself up and planning to switch places with Kuroha, he instead has her switch places with Kikako instead so they could immobilize her. It works spectacularly.]]

* HeroicSecondWind: Kuroha gets one in chapter 95 [[spoiler:after Ryouta presses the top button on her harnest. It works, and she regains her memories as Kuroneko as well, as she has no idea who Kuroha is]].
* {{Hypocrite}}: Kuroha tells [[spoiler:Nanami]] not to take any risky moves in [[spoiler:removing the beacon from her harnest]] because if they were to die then everyone would be sad. The problem with Kuroha saying this is that she is a MartyrWithoutACause.

* SuperpowerDisability: She has the ability to foresee future events, which helps Kuroha out quite a bit when saving people. Unfortunately, Kana's ability leaves her body paralyzed; she can only move her left hand slightly and swallow food. [[spoiler:If someone presses the top button of her harnest, her foresight disappears and therefore, she can move her body.]]

* ThrowingOffTheDisability: [[spoiler:By pressing the top button of her harnest, Kana loses her foresight abilities in exchange for being able to walk again. Her first act after doing so is stabbing Valkyria in the neck to save Kuroha and Ryouta.]]

* MercyKill: [[spoiler:Murakami is forced to eject Kotori to prevent her harnessed from hatching and wiping out all lifeforms]].

* BackFromTheDead: Due to her HealingFactor, she gets "killed" several times, only to then heal back up and be perfectly fine. She is even able to heal others as well. However, she states that running out of pills or hatching would still kill her though. [[spoiler:But chapter 127 reveals that when her drasil is put back in her harnest, she's able to even survive hatching, much to the shock of everyone including Hexenjagd.]]

* HealingFactor: She has a very powerful one, bordering on FromASingleCell. The only things she can die from are running out of anti-death pills or being ejected from her harnest. [[spoiler:However, chapter 127 reveals she survived hatching after her drasil is put back into the harnest. She is even able to heal Takaya back up despite taking a chomp out of him earlier in her hatched form.]]

* NotQuiteDead: She says she can heal from anything aside from hatching or running out of pills, which is proven when she's injured repeatedly throughout and heals back up like nothing happened. [[spoiler:Unfortunately she hatches in chapter 124 shortly after Takaya gives her a LoveConfession. Her Drasil then eats her body, along with part of Takaya.Then in chapter 127, after Hatsuna's Drasil is helped back into its harnest. She is able to [[BackFromTheDead heal back up]], and then heals Takaya back as well. Both of them are alive and well again a few scenes later.]]

* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: The treatment of "witches" at Vingulf is downright despicable. They are treated as tools, on a good day. Chapter 165 has one, lying on the floor completely naked, with a laptop plugged into her harnessed, to act like a network hub, and is completely ignored by the two Vingulf "researchers" in the scene.

* VirtueIsWeakness: Drives the point home in crystal clear detail in chapter 170, as he's willing [[spoiler:to let Loki eat Ryota purely because the boy was shocked, and dismayed at Kuroha's apparent death to Loki and a failure of the topmost button on her harnessed]].

* OhCrap: Kikako has this look on her face after she's told that while she did get the three harnests she was ordered to, she would also be punished for being caught in the situation she was in, where she was tied up with a brown bag over her head. Episode 7 shows that they did torture her, and she's seen in a slump with blood all over her body.

* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Nanami, one of the witches Ryouta and the others meets later, does this for him. Though she has the power to wipe out memories and replace them with different ones, she doesn't do it to him, either because she can't erase his PhotographicMemory, or because she chooses not to after seeing what a NiceGuy he is. [[spoiler:In the end, her harnest is ejected, but not before she's able to transfer her consciousness into him, and provides him with some help later on.]]

* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: She is interrogated on where the other witches are hiding. When she says she doesn't know, Ichijiku decides she has no more value and orders her ejected.

* NotQuiteDead: [[spoiler:He's half-eaten by Hatsuna's Drasil. When it goes back to her harnest, Hatsuna's body regenerates and then she heals him to save his life]].

However, when Kana serves the lady a drink, she tells the girl to buzz off without looking at her, angering Kana in the process. A short while later she leaves with her associate, but forgets her bag and goes back in to get it.
