!!Alonso de Ojeda

* CompositeCharacter: He is a mix of two historical figures related to the conquest of Granada. The first of them is [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alonso_de_Ojeda Alonso de Ojeda]], a soldier and commander who took part in the battle and later became a conquistador in the Americas (and who was a personal enemy to Cristopher Columbus, just like they are respectively a Templar and a member of the Assassins in the film). The second is a Dominican monk also named Alonso de Ojeda, blood cousin to the first, who was an impulsor of the Spanish Inquisition and a colleague to Torquemada. Finally, he could be considered to be part original character as well, as none of the historical Ojedas died in Granada in 1492.

* {{Fingore}}: Much like [[Characters/AssassinsCreedI Altaïr]], Aguilar's ring finger is severed during his Assassin induction. Interestingly, this should not have been necessary, as the Hidden Blade's design was modified by Altaïr in the 13th Century so as to no longer require such a sacrifice as explained in ''VideoGame/AssassinsCreedII''. It's probably just that the tradition was still strong there.

* BadassBeard: He's a skilled warrior with a thick beard.

* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: The movie is set the same year as ''Assassin's Creed II: Discovery'', which means Aguilar and [[Characters/AssassinsCreedEzioAuditoreTrilogyEzioAuditore Ezio Auditore]] are contemporaries. Aguilar, like Ezio, is an Assassin, wears a hood, has two hidden blades and [[LeParkour parkours]] his way through cities. Both Ezio and Aguilar are {{Multi Melee Master}}s and confront the Templars-led Spanish Inquisition at the time of the Granada War (Ezio does in ''Discovery''). However, Aguilar's origins are very much a MysteriousPast while Ezio's are well established, Ezio's lavish white outfits reflect his Italian nobleman origins while Aguilar's darker and more humble outfit has Moorish influences (since he comes from the Emirate of Granada). Also, Ezio didn't have one of his fingers severed during his induction in the Brotherhood, and Aguilar doesn't wear a BadassCape. They end up meeting each other in ''Assassin's Creed Rebellion'' (mobile game).
