* ElevatorFailure / LockedInARoom: Happens in "Vision Quest". Malory calls everyone in for a 7 am meeting, but the elevator goes past the top floor and gets stuck. Ray and Pam try to open the trap door, only to find out, as Cyril had just explained, that [[RealityEnsues the door on the roof is locked from the outside]] so rescue crews can get in, but people can't get out and walk around on a damaged elevator. They then spend the entire episode stuck in the elevator until Malory resets the system and reveals she had called them in for a team building exercise. Lana accuses her of sabotaging the elevator as the exercise, but Malory denies this and explains the exercise was watching ''Film/VisionQuest''.

* EveryoneHasStandards: Archer may be an utter whoremonger and slut, but he won't take advantage of [[{{Jailbait}} Anka]]. And he's never sexist, nor does he hit women who aren't combat-capable. He may be hideously culturally insensitive, and assume that the bomber is "Beardsley [=McTurbanHead=]" (actually [[UsefulNotes/{{Sikhism}} a Sikh]]), but if someone starts flat-out using racist slurs or starting a racist diatribe, he'll stop them with a little lecture on why racism is bad. Archer has also shown an affinity for large animals: Babou, Cheryl's ocelot, the tiger Calzado murders, and Kazak.

* FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse: Sterling Archer, of all people, call out his team for using him as an excuse to be their worse self. Sterling Archer always had a strained relationship with his co-workers because he annoying douchebag on his best days and a complete a-hole on his worse days, with him constantly bullying and belittling them. Even the closest ones he has to friends have a hard time tolerating him at times. He was also a toxic influence on them. So when Archer was shot and put in a coma for three years, he found that his co-workers have because successfully without him when he woke up. And it implied that they are content without him in their lives, with them leaving him to his own devices for three months and trying to keep him from going on important missions with them. However, Archer being back and acting like an obnoxious, antagonistic, and impulsive manchild, the rest of the characters start reverting to their self-destructive and dysfunctional selves. However, Archer himself did not do much to corrupt. He just made a few comments that started fights. And while Archer causes Cyril to lose his confidence, Archer did not do much but makes mean comments and sabotages his diet, but despite spending three years being a successful spy, it doesn't take much prodding from Archer to make him break down. This all comes to a head in the 11 seasons final, where Lana angrily told Archer despite just saving the world, telling him she wishes he stay in a coma and admit that she OK with the earth destroy if he gone with it. Archer just asks if she considers that they come him around, so they have an excuse to be their worse selves leaving Lana and the team a lot for words.
