When all five members used their special attacks in a row (which was often) you could expect up to four minutes of straight StockFootage. Fortunately, ''[=GoGo=]'' is slightly better about this.

Nozomi Yumehara is a [[GenkiGirl energetic]] though [[IdiotHero dimwitted]] girl who is DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife. She meets a [[{{Bishonen}} hot guy]] in a chance encounter, follows him into the library, and before she knows it her belief in the importance of following your dreams has turned her into a MagicalGirl with a [[NonHumanSidekick sidekick who looks like a yellow plush tanuki]]. Within a few episodes, she's assembled a complete [[{{Nakama}} team]]:

* SpiritBomb: in the form of a magic kamikaze mecha-butterfly in the first season, and the form of a giant man-eating rose in the second season.

* PortmanteauSeriesNickname: Though it was common before, this series, particularly with its caption-less logo, made it look quite likely that both "Pretty Cure" and "Precure" are canon, both for the name of the series and for the name of the group. The fansubs still use the "it's always Pretty Cure" approach, but another group that briefly expressed interest mentioned that they would use the "literal translation depending on what's used" method instead. Of course, since the latter group's ''[=YPC5=]'' project seems to have vanished off the face of the earth...
