Should we move Locus to the Unaffiliated section of the Others page? He's basically a free agent at this point. Or should we wait to find out more about him, see if there is some group he's aligning himself with?
Right now, Temple is the only one who has a witty caption under his picture. I feel like we should have some consistency with these pages, so my question is, do we try to give more characters witty captions, or do we just get rid of Temple's caption? I'd much prefer the former over the latter.
Shouldn't we add the new characters for Episode 10? We may not have a lot of information on them, but it'd be nice to have them set up for when we do.
Edited by EonArisen Heya, people! I'm more fabulous than Polnareff. And that's saying something. Hide / Show RepliesI think it's more of a matter of if we get more information on them, not when. If we learn more about them as characters, then we can add them. The reason we have the Others section on the Freelancer page is to say "We barely know anything about these characters, but they exist." We did get a bit of information on Illinois, but I don't know if it's enough to justify giving him his own section.
Along with the new Blood Gulch Crew page, I've made a Simulation Troopers page to replace the Red Team and Blue Team pages entirely (though the original pages still exist as of now). I'd appreciate it if people helped me spruce it up a little by putting a description and Tropes under the "In General" section, and maybe adding pictures.
Should the Blood Gulch Crew get their own section? I mean, by this point they've essentially banded together a long time ago and are collectively seen as a mini-faction by Season 11.
Hide / Show RepliesI've been thinking the exact same thing. There are definitely Tropes that apply to all of them, and it would be better for Doc to be there than the UNSC section. I'd say go for it. Make a Simulation Troopers page for the Reds and Blues that weren't part of Blood Gulch.
Since the new season is now being uploaded on YouTube once a week already, I've been debating with myself whether or not we should unmark the spoilers for the episodes on YouTube or just leave them marked until the next season begins.
Hide / Show RepliesI dunno, I think maybe it might be best to leave spoilers for Season 13 (barring the first episode which is kinda hard to avoid) marked until Season 14 airs, and we can always change this if things end up getting too complicated (so far, not many spoiler tags have really been necessary anyway).
Agreed. I've never seen "it's available multiple places, therefore Spoilers Off" before. We don't do it when episodes go up on Hulu, for example. And since the episodes are so short, plenty of people don't keep up and just catch up at the end of the season..
Edited by Larkmarn Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.^ I've seen it on several anime character pages. When the free subbed version on Crunchyroll is out, then the spoilers on those character pages are unmarked. Besides, it's hard to view the episodes on the Rooster Teeth website since there are usually so many adds that it causes a lag.
Still doesn't make much sense to me. More work for editors for a worse experience for readers.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Since we have unmarked all spoilers and Season 13 starts tomorrow, I think we need some changes to the character descriptions. I propose this format:
- Paragraph 1: An introduction to the characters describing their role in the series.
- Paragraph 2: A history of the character.
- Paragraph 3: The character's personality.
The way that I want to handle spoilers is that we only mark spoilers for episodes not on YouTube yet unless the episodes are being released at the same time on that site, in which case we'll wait for the next season to start before removing the tags. Remember that no spoiler tags are allowed above the example line and that trope names are not allowed to be tagged. Please keep that in mind to choose carefully what you want in the main description or what tropes you want to place.
Also, I've thought of a different way to organize Church. I looked the Red vs. Blue wikia for inspiration, and I found that they have separate articles for Church and Epsilon with the former page covering the Alpha. I want to do the same thing, with a sheet for Alpha Church on the Blue Team page and a sheet for Epsilon Church on the AI page (I never felt that Epsilon was exactly part of the Blue Team to begin with). I'm also still planning on merging Captain Flowers and Agent Florida together.
Edited by SatoshiBakura Hide / Show RepliesI'm contemplating which page I should put Flowers/Florida on. Should he be on the Blue Team page or the Project Freelancer page? Wikipedia has him in the Project Freelancer section, but their sorting is kind of wonky, so I'm not sure.
Edited by SatoshiBakuraHe was a freelancer before he was a Blue. He was put on the Blue team specifically to guard the Alpha. I say put him in the freelancer section.
I'm planning on doing a bit of tinkering. First, I'm planning on merging Captain Flowers' sheet and Florida's sheet, and I might put it under the Project Freelancer page since that's the section it is under on Wikipedia. I'm also planning on splitting up the Church sheets since it's just three character sheets are awkwardly put together under one folder. I'm planning on keeping the tropes about Church in general and in Seasons 1-6 on the Blue Team Page (Seasons 1-6 Church is pretty different personality from the Alpha itself), putting tropes relating to the Alpha as the Alpha rather than the Alpha as Church on the AI page under the Alpha folder, with Epsilon being put on that same page under his folder. I'm not doing this with Tex since she doesn't have different personalities like it is with Church. Please let me know what you think.
Edited by SatoshiBakura Hide / Show RepliesHrm.
I hesitate to merge Flowers and Florida's sheets, as the "spoiler to clarification" ratio is less than ideal; merging them spoils a lot, but it doesn't clarify much considering the "Mysterious Blue Guy" persona and "Captain Butch Flowers" would have next to no overlap in tropes.
As for Church... sounds good. Honestly, the Church entry is such an absolute clusterbomb that I'd be pretty much open to any fix.
Although, now that I think about it... what about giving Church his own page? There's definite value in keeping his personae together, and then being able to simply link his page from each of the places you mentioned he should have entries might be the more elegant solution. Thoughts?
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I'll think about giving Church his own page as that could work, though then again, that would mean we might also have to put the Director on there since he's a Church (well, the first chronologically), and that would be kind of strange.
On Captain Flowers and Agent Florida, I know there isn't any overlap in there tropes, but they are the literally same person. The two entries were split for spoiler reasons anyway, but all of the spoiler tags have been lifted now. Though if you don't want to do that, that's fine with me.
The reason I want to merge the Flowers and Florida sheets and not the sheets of Church and the Alpha are because Church and the Alpha are different in a way (especially in personality). The Alpha is a god-like AI who's mind is based off of the Director while Church is a soldier hunting after his ex girlfriend and is unable to shoot correctly and is hardly god-like. The Alpha's Mind Rape turned him into a different person. Flowers and Florida, on the other hand, are completely the same. The only difference is that one is the Captain of the Blue Team and the other is a Freelancer. They are both Badass soldiers who are pretty friendly. Only occupation is what separates them, unlike Church and the Alpha, who are separated by personality and memories.
Given The Reveal in the finale of Season 12, should we move Malcom Hargrove, Locus, the Insurrection, and Felix to a new tab called "Charon Industries", given that's what's been revealed to be their true allegiance?
Hide / Show RepliesThat will cause spoilers. Charon Industries is way to spoilery to give their own page. Even the Federation and the Republic are still spoilery since they give away the big reveal in Season 11. Adding a page for Charon Industries would make things way worse, as the reveal of their ties to the Insurrection would spoil a ton.
I don't think it's necessarily too spoiler-y since before 12.19, "Charon Industries" is effectively meaningless. The name itself isn't a spoiler since its ties to earlier factions and characters aren't so much hidden as just not really relevant, out-of-universe.
But I do agree that it's an unnecessary move.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Actually, with the recent spoiler tag do-away, now I think we could make the page. I'm also thinking of merging the New Republic's and Fed's pages together as a "Chorus" page since they have teamed up as of now.
Many web/TV series' character pages are only spoiler-tagged for the most recent season. Should that be the case here (i.e. untag all the spoilers about Carolina showing up in the present day and Wash's stint as the Big Bad of Revelation)? I think that removing most of the spoiler tags and leaving a warning that only spoilers from the most recent season will be marked would help to clean up the page.
Hide / Show RepliesI don't see the big deal, honestly... anyone bothered by spoiler tags can just turn them off in their profiles.
I do think we should check to see if any entries need to be cleaned up and rewritten to be up-to-date with current seasons (though I want to say Gregzilla's already been doing that judging from the histories), but IMHO spoiler tags aren't a big deal.
I say leave it spoiler-tagged. We've got so many Walking Spoiler characters and everything at this point that we might as well.
Especially since we have SO many posthumous characters, too. People are very likely to pop onto a a character's profile thinking that they're gone but... they're not.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Might want to think about it again. Eagal's gotten to the pages and rid all spoiler tags above the description, which means friggin everything is revealed. Spoiler Policy is making me question why we have spoiler tags on this site to begin with.
To hide spoilers. Lots of folks don't want to be spoilered.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI agree with Satoshi Bakura. I think at this point it might be good to just get rid of all remaining spoiler tags and leave a big "All spoilers will be unmarked ahead" on the main page, considering they all almost literally hide something that was revealed un-spoilered just a few paragraphs ago.
Edited by ConfuzzledKoalaGood. When next season comes, we'll start fresh with the spoiler business. All spoilers will be unmarked until then, and when Season 13 is released, spoilers will only be marked if the episodes haven't been put on You Tube.
Cut out a little natter in Church's profile because it said that Church's escapades in the past back in season three were because of Gary's deception. That's not correct because Gary is able to manipulate time as that was Wyoming armor ability, plus the Yellow Church in the last Blood Gulch episode was shown being sent back into the past with the other Church copies who wouldn't be there if Church didn't travel through time. Also, Sister states how the squad leader (which we learn relates to the Blue Team) died from an aspirin overdose which was caused by Church in the past.
Edited by IMBoring Hide / Show RepliesHonestly, the only way to resolve the Yellow Church thing to me is to assume that what happened with Yellow Church was that when he was ejected from Caboose's skull, the copy of Gamma in Wyoming's helmet automatically put him into a hellish situation.
Back during BGC, Yellow Church didn't make sense (how did he have a body? Why did the Church that fixed things say that he had done what the Yellow Church had done even if he hadn't yet?), and the fact that Gamma's specialty was tricking Church into torturing himself by making him think that he's killed his friends, it fits way too well.
This is, technically, a WMG so I am going to post it as such.

Do any of these characters meet the requirements for a Walking Spoiler?
Edited by TrustyQuarterstaff Hide / Show RepliesUh. Not sure. I think only the Insurrectionist Leader might qualify, though I guess it depends on how high the spoiler threshold is, as you could maybe make a case for Church, too.
Yeah, I'd say Church should definitely qualify.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Is Meta really a Mighty Glacier? I remember him being pretty fast and Mighty Glacier trade speed for power.
Hide / Show RepliesMore of a Lightning Bruiser, though he does have SOME shades of Mighty Glaicer by Freelancer standards.
The Meta is a Lightning Bruiser. Season 9/10 Agent Maine is (compared to his fellow Freelancers) a Mighty Glacier.
Should we change the section for Freelancers? After all, the Counselor and the Director are parts of Project Freelancer, but are listed separately. And Vic isn't really an independent entity, but rather connected to Command, so...should we put him with the AI section (given the heavy implications as listed in the entry for him)?
Hide / Show RepliesVic's good where he is, I think. Moving him to the AI or Freelancer would be a huge spoiler for the first five seasons.
As for Freelancers... I support the idea of changing the name of the section to "Project Freelancer" and adding the Director and Counselor. It can't remain "Freelancers" if we add them, as they're not Freelancers (though 479er isn't either, and technically we don't know about MBG. Those two really should be wherever the Director and Counselor are).

Should we get an Artificial Intelligence listing for F.I.L.S.S. (the one at Freelancer Command, not Sheila), too?
Are York and Carolina really an Official Couple? Sounds like they never actually became a couple, and then... York kinda died. The definition for Official Couple is pretty broad but they seem to fall under UST more than OC.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I want to move the insurrectionists from a single entry to a section with the notable ones getting their own entries. Thoughts?
Also, should the S7 CT elements be moved to Pillman's entry (who absolutely needs his own entry now)?
Hide / Show RepliesI personally think only Pillman needs one, but I guess the girl and the bandolier have enough tropes that they could stand to get their own.
As for S7 CT... I think they should be put in spoilers in Pillman's entry, but left in CT's as well. That way it won't spoil anything for people who are still on S7. Include a spoiler tag at the top of CT's post clarifying that S7 CT is really Pillman and we're golden.
If you add more Insurrectionists, think they should be given their own folder? I do.
Edited by Larkmarn Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Alright, I still want to add the girl and bandoleer guy, but I can't think of a good name for the latter - female insurrectionist is what I've got for the former. Is there a consistent name he's got?
Demoman is one that I hear get thrown around a lot. He used to get called the Leader for a while, since he took charge a lot, but given recent events that's clearly no longer appropriate.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Is there any reason to think that Recovery Command and Four-Seven-Niner are the same character other than the voice actress?
Forgive me if I missed anything, but given the series' liberal reuse of characters and the fact all of Four-Seven-Niner's trademark traits don't translate to Recovery Command at all. Also, her characterization with Wash doesn't seem to jive... she warmed up to him between Recovery One and Reconstruction. Which would be odd, given she'd already known him for years.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. Hide / Show RepliesSome dialogue suggests it as well. Like how in one of the episodes she says she'd hate to have the Command guy's job. RT loves that sort of irony.
Should the idea that Iota or Xi is female be relegated to WMG? My impression when Theta mentioned a sister was that he was referring to Tex so I've got a bit of an issue with that line being there.
Hide / Show RepliesYes.
While I disagree that the "sister" is Tex, since she was made with the Alpha the fragments wouldn't consider her a sister like they do the other fragments. But it's still a guess since Theta's words were ambiguous.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Hello,
During Season 9 episode 5, we discover that South is blonde. I was going to add a "blonde" trope to her character sheet, but I find myself kinda lost on which trope to apply to her : - Hair of Gold doesn't really apply to her. At all. - Blondes Are Evil could count, though if we know she harbored ressentment to her brother and Washington regarding to A.I.s, we don't know (yet) the circomstances in which she betrayed North. Though, she's enough egocentrical to classify I guess. - Dumb Blonde : Nope... Though with her Leeroy Jerkins tendencies... But I don't think she qualifies for this trope. - Everyone Loves Blondes : Well, if the fans's reactions are any indication, many loved to discover she had blond hair.
Anyway, I would like to hear/read your opinions on the matter.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. For Carolina's entry, I thought her Super-Speed was a result of her having a second AI, like she is supposed to.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged Men Hide / Show RepliesAlpha is in the episode when they're planning the heist, though, so she can't have an AI at that point—there just isn't enough time to break him down and start the implantation process. The season finale implies that she got her A.I.s just after the end of the season, anyway.
She might already have two powers, then, if she is supposed to be 'the best.'
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenIs it really Super-Speed or just simply enhanced Freelancer abilities? It's clearly above human ability, but she is wearing powered armor. Ditto for Maine's Super-Strength... how much is Super-Strength and how much is the fact he's a huge, very well trained guy in powered armor is ambiguous.
EDIT: Actually gave it some thought... whether it's from an armor enhancement or just enhanced Freelander abilities, it's clearly Super-Speed and Super-Strength. I'd just not say that it's their armor enhancement.
Edited by Larkmarn Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Listining to the song On Your Knees from episode 10, they mentioned Virgina and said "her". not suggesting a full entry yet, but think it might prove interesting later...or maybe not, this is Rooster Teeth after all.
Hide / Show RepliesI came over here to mention Virginia. Because she's only mentioned in a song, I question whether she should be mentioned at all, or if she should be pushed to the "mentioned, but know nothing about them" entry with Nevada and Hawaii. It's like the old song about Tex where it implies her name is Beth—sure, it's a cool song, but it's not canon and ultimately was directly contradicted by the show. So I don't know that we can trust a song.
On Grif:
- Not a Genius Ditz. A Genius Ditz is someone who is extremely proficient in one area (the trope description says they're unsurpassed in it); Church merely referred to him as "smart". There's a wide gap.
- I made a mild adjustment to Brilliant, but Lazy, removing the largely unnecessary bulletpoint and adding an extra point that often isn't noted: Church specifically stating it to Simmons while the latter was posing as a Blue. His accompanying descriptions of Donut (light red) and Simmons (the guy everyone hates) suggest that he might have just been messing with Simmons.
- Character Development:
- Grif's personality didn't change as a result of the event, so that alone rules it out.
- The speech wasn't really out of character. Grif didn't previously make it a secret that he had no respect for Sarge. You could still call it a Crowning Moment Of Awesome because it was an all-out "Reason You Suck" Speech.
- People who claim this was a turning point in their relationship seem to just ignore every instance of Sarge acting like he hated Grif afterward. I mean, Sarge's "if I die, I've recorded a large number of insults directed at you personally that I want you to play whenever you feel good about yourself" bit came after Grif's speech.
Why is Sarge's name listed as "Sergeant Sarge Christoff"? When was his last name stated?
Does anyone know where Shiela is implied to be the AI fragment Sigma? Even if she is an AI fragment, I would expect her to be Phi, since her original name was Phyllis.
Hide / Show RepliesI think that's a vague inference made based on that fact that Sigma is one of the few AI fragments that's been mentioned (though only incidentally) but not explicitly accounted for, combined with the fact that "Sheila" and "Sigma" sound similar.
I started adding tropes associated with the characters to put it more in line with other Character pages.
I'm going to make a list of characters who should have their pictures updated/added. I don't have the know-how to be able to do it, but hopefully someone who does will read this and take care of it.
Characters who need updated pictures: Doc (current picture doesn't look great, RvB wiki has a better one), Locus, Kimball, Andersmith, Jensen, Bitters, Palomo, Dr. Grey, Junior
Characters who don't have a picture: The Freelancers stuck in Temple's basement (add to Others in Freelancer section), Surge, Buckey, Gene, Loco, Cronut, Lorenzo, Biff, Blue and Red Troopers, Turf, Drag, Sue, Morgan, Peake, Santos, Hutch, Cobb, Reg, Marlowe, Wynn, Squatch, Deuce, Zealots, Hammer, Sergeant candidates, Lemons, Jimmy, Miller, Sherry Darryl and Terrill, Fed Gunner, Jax Jonez, Gabriel Lozano, Ruben Lozano, Wiz and Boomstick
