openShould the ''fault - milestone two'' page be retitled? Videogame
For context, the page for fault milestone two covers the kinetic novel titled fault - milestone two side:above, the sequel to fault - milestone one.
Given that ALICE IN DISSONANCE split their plan for fault - milestone two into two games, with fault - milestone two side:below being planned for release in 2024, should the page be moved to only cover side:above with side:below getting its own page, or should it cover both side:above and side:below once it's released?

Assuming that everyone is above 18, if the work is mostly an H-Game whose gameplay is mostly a sandbox, but has some interesting lore backstory that isn't entirely NSFW, how are we supposed to judge it?
openCertain editing privileges Videogame
Hello! I hope that you are doing well. About a year or so ago, I proposed Xenos as a Complete Monster, which was approved. However, looking back, the entry I provided was really sloppy (even the current entry for the character is a slightly rewritten version of mine), being an oversimplification of everything that glosses over a lot of important details. However, I have been put on an indefinite suspension from editing for months, so I have been hesitant to ask the Cleanup Thread if I can fix it. It has been driving me up a wall for months now. Is it okay if I rewrite Xenos' entry in the cleanup thread, and let them take care of the rest? It's fine if you say no, but just wanted to ask anyway. Thank you!
Edited by cwallace135openPromoted fangirl concerns Videogame
So, I've gotten into a thorny sort of situation recently (~6 months ago-ish).
To stop the game Spellstone from becoming one of many Defunct Online Video Games, the higher-ups at Kongregate implemented a "Community Dev" policy, where members of the fanbase can freely volunteer to assist the developers with stuff like game balance, troubleshooting, and... most importantly, writing ideas for the story. This was around late July. I was one of those volunteers, and since I was the only one who gave a rat's ass about the story, that means I more or less became the head writer (some other people have written it more recently while I had exams and life stuff, but it's like 80% me).
Ordinarily there would be no issue, except I had previously made a rather extensive work and character page (as well as a bit of YMMV) on this site for the game. This was before I became a community developer — after which, the only edit I made on any Spellstone-related pages was a small typo on the character page. I have not troped anything that I have written for the game, and have even been reluctant to finish adding in tropes for the old developers' writing (as terrible as it got pre-Community Dev) for fear of a conflict of interest. I was going to propose Complete Monster or Magnificent Bastard candidates the old writers had written, too, but I don't think I can do that either now. I really don't want to be guilty of Auto-Erotic Troping, and I don't want to get banned for my pre-Community Dev edits.
So, I guess my question is, TL;DR, I essentially singlehandedly wrote a work's page on here, and after doing all of that, I became a writer of that work. What can I/should I do to keep my hands clean?
openQuestioning of Infinite Fusion WMG Videogame
I noticed on the WMG page for Pokémon Infinite Fusion Wayward Totodile asked a hidden question:
"what is this? I don't think WMG is supposed to be used like this."
Why not? There are speculation lists on WMG pages for Spooky Month and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, so how is this any different?
Isn't that a part of Wild Mass Guessing? Am I missing something?
I hope I'm handling this issue right.

Can we remake the missing pages for the United States in the Extremis Ultimis page? The page was basically completed with the characters, images and names, and was only missing the tropes. It was taken down with the rest of the page when it was orphaned, can it be restored now that other users are editing it as well?

I'm working on the Index Page for Teppen (2019) and I feel like I might have broken something? The 3rd and 4th pages dont link to the prior ones, and I dont wanna touch anymore without fixing those first.
openWhere do I go request a page be split? Videogame
I think the video game Bounty Hunter should be fully renamed to Star Wars: Bounty Hunter to separated it from the trope page Bounty Hunter, since they're not related, but I don't know where to go for such a request.
Edited by Avenger09openEditing someone's interpretations of a game without text Videogame
I helped make an indie video game, and decided to set up a trope page for it. The game in question, Settlemoon, tells its story with very little text, instead relying mostly on drawn storycards. Because there's very little text to work with, I tried to be as objective and gentle-handed as I could with tropes relating to the story; focusing mainly on events that are clearly presented in the cards.
I didn't expect the page to get a ton of attention given it's an indie game marketed mainly through word-of-mouth, so I was quite surprised when somebody started editing the page!
However, the editor has very... interesting interpretations of the events of the game. I sincerely don't know how they're coming to some of the conclusions that they're writing about, even with the game being as open to interpretation as it is. It feels like they're writing their head-canons into the page, stuff that isn't supported at all by the game's events. And I'm afraid that folks reading the page, unfamiliar with Settlemoon and curious about it, might get the wrong idea of what the game is about.
I don't want to clear their edits, because that feels wrong, and they've actually contributed some good info here and there! And even if I'm a member of the dev team I don't feel like it's my place to decide what interpretation is or isn't correct, nor do I want to step in and say what is and isn't true in the game's story since it's so open-ended. But again, some of the stuff they're writing as fact is outlandish and could potentially turn somebody off from buying it. And for indie devs, every sale matters. We live or die by these things.
I'm a long-time reader, but quite new to editing, so I don't know how to approach this. Some of their additions are good, but could use cleanup for clarity and to remove some of the conjecture. Others feel like complete fabrications. I'm also not sure if I SHOULD do anything about it. Any advice?
openDoes Persona 3 Reload qualify for Sequel Gap? Videogame
The upcoming VideoGame.Persona 3 Reload is a remake of VideoGame.Persona 3. I'm wondering if it qualifies for Sequel Gap.
- As a Persona 3 spin-off, this is the first one to be released since Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth in 2018.
- If we're considering a remake to be a "mainline Persona game" because it's a traditional RPG, then it's the first to be be released since Persona 5 in 2016.
With those factors in mind, does Sequel Gap actually apply to this game? Of course, this ignores that the trope applies regardless if Reload picks up on the lingering plot thread of Elizabeth attempting to find a way to save the Protagonist from his Heroic Sacrifice in the original game, but there's no confirmation of that actually happening at this point.
open100 Playthroughs Later, Still Can't Decide: Rome Edition Videogame
I'm replaying Total War: Rome for the 100th time, and I'm still torn between turtling in Italy and immediately bee-lining for Carthage. Which approach do you find more fun/challenging, and why?
openCrazy Castle? It's not too crazy, is it? Videogame
Currently, TV Tropes has a work page for the Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle video game series, which has a description that notes the five games that actually used the Crazy Castle name, including the fifth game, which had Woody Woodpecker instead. Outside of a rather lengthy entry for Dolled-Up Installment, however, the page doesn't acknowledge the series' history of using different licensed properties in different regions, nor does it acknowledge the later installments of the Mickey Mouse series that the first two Crazy Castle games were originally part of. The only one of these games that has a standalone page is Kid Klown In Night Mayor World, also known as Mickey Mouse III.
Would it be worth making a revamped page for the series under the name VideoGame.Crazy Castle ? The Bugs Bunny and Woody Woodpecker versions are the only ones that actually use the Crazy Castle name, but the later Mickey Mouse games often get lumped in when talking about the series, including on its Wikipedia page.
openAdding commented examples Videogame
On Characters.Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, troper SAM 156 has added several examples, but all of them are commented out. Here's the most recent edit they did for the page. I'm fully aware that adding commented out examples is a big no-no but I don't what to do or what notifiers to send.
openRoad Near the Airport in GTA Vice City Videogame
So there is a road that is present in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories that connects Little Havana to the Escobar International Airport. However, the same road doesn't exist in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Is it considered a Series Continuity Error as the former is the prequel to the latter?
Edited by InsolentThingopenSite glitch in the Metaphor ReFantazio main page? Videogame
As noted by another user in the discussion page of the work, there seems to a unique glitch in the Metaphor: ReFantazio main page that doesn't correctly show the timestamp of when it was last edited. Despite being edited within the last 24 hours, it still shows that it was last updated 'two weeks ago' - on top of it being a visual error, it's also not making the page update in Followed Pages, making it difficult to track if it has been edited.
Reginald Ogron 5 has been making some recent sweeping edits to the Elden Ring page. He's currently trying to remove any mention of Mythology Gag because he believes despite From directly calling the games a series of spiritual successors with a ton of direct references to each other, it shouldn't count.
He's been very rude in PM's (I've resorted to blocking him) when I lightly told him of the error (and when he also tried removing examples of puzzle bosses), shouting, putting things in all caps, and his edit reasons are likewise inflammatory. Can someone talk to him and maybe ask him to be a tad bit more polite?
