Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this. However, I can't seem to find the right place.
1-Why is there censorship of anime in the US?
2-Is there an article or book that compares American with Japanese sensibilities for what is acceptable and what isn't?
3-Is it true that American entertainment is meant to be read by everyone while Japanese manga is targeted towards their niche audience. Therefore, in America, something would be a "gratuitous" while in Japan fan service would be more understandable as however, is ready male or female has this expectation.
