No, everyone enjoys works differently. I'm about the opposite, consuming them mostly for plot and character development, which spoilers would ruin, but it all about what you enjoy most, as long as you don't spoil things for others.(which I know you don't)
TNP also values plot and development above other qualities of a work.

Definitely. I'm a sucker for a good story. For example, Bravely Default is the only game of that particular genre I've ever really gotten very far in, because the story grabbed me so much that I could get past the pain of being terrible at it until the mechanics of combat could speak for themselves. It's also probably why a good book can grab me better than anything else; even the action scenes are as much plot as they are action, due to the nature of the format.

For movies, TV, and books? Plot is definitely one of the most important aspects of those mediums. For video games? Gameplay always goes first. If a game has a blatant Excuse Plot but also has great gameplay, I'm happy.
