It depends! I think it's very funny when pulled off right, but it can come off as odd when used in certain situations.

7/10. I like arrogant characters if they're charming enough for me to Love to Hate, but I don't really see that in this trope. If there are any examples of this trope Played for Laughs, though, I'd love to see them!

9/10. I love seeing the creative ways that people can just make completely insane and illogical arguments for their various characters.
8/10. It can be pretty cool and thought-provoking - sort of makes me expect a subtle story where the creator has a Message, but understands all the other sides and only arrived at his/her own by some thorough thinking.
