Not quite; Epunymous Title is when the pun is in the character's name. As the title is punning on sleigh, it fits this trope.
That's a great picture, and a truly awful caption (and not in a punny way).
The pun "slay/sleigh" has nothing to do with the character's name. Keep current.
Agreed, that caption's not very good.
So, an Epunymous Title is a subtrope of Character Title and Pun-Based Title, but requires a character-based pun.
So, these examples on Pun-Based Title... should they be on Epunymous Title?
- The My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fanfic "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" does indeed ship Portmanteau Couple Name Twi Shynote .
- Mega Man: Defender of the Human Race has Episode 12, called "Fade to Black" which focuses on the character of Mr. Black, and Episode 13, "A Big Splash," which introduces Splash Woman.
- Lupine Tree is a pun on pine tree and both definitions of lupine: a flowering plant that is similar to Jack's flowers, and wolves - fitting as Jack is a flowering, sapient timberwolf tree.
- Jack*Bot is a pun on "jackpot". This even extends to the actual jackpots, which are called "Jack*Bots".
- The Frontier Wrestling Alliance show where Naomichi Marufuji and Minoru Suzuki came in to regain the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Titles from Doug Williams and Scorpio was called "NOAH Limits".
- Suburban Knights is a pun on "Suburbanites".
- The world of Worm contains a talk show called "Mornings with O, J and Koffi".
Only the Mega Man example seems to fit Epunymous Title. If I understand the trope correctly, you take the character's first or last name (unchanged) and combine it with some more words to create a coherent phrase which hides the fact that it contains a character name in the first place.

Keep the current image, but get rid of that caption.
(Annoyed grunt)As there aren't any suggestions (or quality upgrades), keep current. Change or remove caption.
My suggestion (if only to provide a replacement):
Does "Won't you die by sleigh tonight?" work at all as a caption? It's almost what I want from a caption for this picture (a pun on a Christmas line that references sleighs), but I feel like the grammar doesn't quite work.
It's grammatically correct, but since the title is punning on sleigh already, it seems a little redundant.
Clock is set.
Clock expired; closing.

It uses the poster of Santa's Slay, which actually is the subtrope, Epunymous Title.
A correct example, that isn't a subtrope, would be anything that isn't a Character Title.
