It was good. Anne Lucky has more wacky comedy (so far), but the friendship in this is nice.
And I love the overprotective former-manservant. He's a good man.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.See? Toldja I was the local Kirara person. Hah.
In any case, is there any way for me to get this and Anne Happy to show under the Manga Time Kirara index underneath each page?
Probably should have the name changed to 'Sansha Sanyou aka Three Leaves Three Colors', those are the two names for this that everyone is using. [1]

I have asked Dark Paladin X to move it himself yesterday, and if he doesn't by tomorrow evening, I'd move it myself. It's impossible to wick without the title in the air.
Back to topic.
Well, a seasons without a Kirara anime and... Please Tell Me! Galko-chan, OK, I understand it's still a Schoolgirl Series, but I didn't expect I'm hooked on a shoujo series that's Tantei Team KZ Jiken Note that nobody watches. After a month of moving in a new town and three weeks into a new job, starting one—or let's say two—Kirara anime might be a sign of a return to normality.
I personally think Hidamari Sketch is the series that codifies the Kirara series, so I expect anything before that is more similar to Love Lab or Ri-Kan but with a moe style.
I wasn't sure if my guess is right, on the flow this show feels a bit like Yuyushiki, but this episode certainly has lots of Character Development on Youko's behalf, to the point she started to actually consider other people. I'm not sure if the work's page's evaluation of her "insists on being an ojou" the correct evaluation, because she may as well be Fish out of Water. At least she attempts to make herself food.
Teru is a masculine name, especially considering the kanji form. Saying she's the cast's voice of reason is fine, but saying she's "dark-hearted" is a bit of exaggeration.
As for Futaba, what I'm sure is she's a big eater, doesn't have much attention span, and speaks with an accent. I guess she's the local Tomboy, with a personality more akin to Lucky Star's Misao.
I can't say much about Yamaji yet. I'm just wondering why the stuff he brings in are always yogurt and pudding—are those the only things in the dairy section that easily get close-to expiry?
Anne Happy! tomorrow.
(With Nozaki-kun DVD over breakfast, KZ novel over commute, and this, I'd say it's a bit content-heavy by my standards. The academic papers don't count.)

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra Nova
Unless it happens to be cheese, dairy products do tend to have a shorter shelf life unless they're refrigerated, so I'm not surprised at Yamaji keeps on bringing them, though I do question the wisdom of giving Youko the ones that are already in danger of spoiling, unless he KNOWS that she's going to consume them immediately.
my issue is that out of the many dairy products, he only brings yogurt and pudding.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaMaybe he figured she'd prefer those to milk or something?
We don't know if she likes milk, yet. Maybe he doesn't bring it because he knows she doesn't like it? :x
Give the God Eater game thread some love!Memers @ 4: Moved to Manga.Three Leaves Three Colors.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaShort-take on episode 2: the cast expands quickly, with introduction of Serina and Kou. Sibling Yin-Yang in the works here.
Why do some Japanese tend to think former Ill Girl are potential misanthropes? In this sense, Teru somehow resembles Galko's Otako.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaEpisode 3 is Shino episode, and I suppose that the end of introducing the cast.
For one thing, I'm sure Cherry exported Shino's personality to Mikakunin's Mashiro.
The Character Development continues to be strong, Yamaji included. It seems that only the students sees him as a stalker; even Youko's neighbours knows his actual intent...
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra Nova
I was expecting Arai Satomi for Shino, but it turns out it was someone else.
She does have a sharp tongue though, but I'm surprised it isn't entirely snark.
The second role of that someone else ever, and she's got Arai's Hata voice down pat. Goodness.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!Episode 3: Things get interesting.
We finally meet Sonobe...she's even greater than Yamaji...
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.
The common thread between Shino and Yamaji is that they really don't have to look after Youko since they're not employed by her family anymore, but still do so anyway. It has to make you wonder whether it's due to her family, or Youko herself.
Shion's one eccentric maid. One that drains the life essence of the youth around her in her own way.
Hmm... Yoko does have the aptitude to work in a masochist-themed restaurant.
Yamaji really can do anything. He also kinda looks like an aged-up Joey Wheeler.
Futaba truly is a black hole. Poor shopkeep. And she's so hung up on maid outfits.
No wondering from me. It's all Yoko from my viewpoint.
The second half of episode 4 goes full Gourmet Girl Graffiti, sans the Foodgasm.
(EDIT: It's pretty hilarious to see that the Supreme Chef in this series is the local Tomboy, while for the other Kirara show this season (or Kirara series in general) it'd be the Girly Girl that takes this role. Using Graffiti as an example: I recall 4chan opinion on Ryou is she'd make a perfect wife. Wife, not waifu.)

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaI never really saw Futaba as a tomboy, she just seem like your typical big eater, genki girl who just happen to have short hair as shown by her choice of casual clothes . Also I just noticed that Futaba has bigger boobs than Hayama.......It's rather rare to see that the girl with the glasses is the one with the smallest bust size among the main group since they're usually portrayed as having the biggest (screw whoever invented the glasses=big boobs trend, normal size meganekko is best!!).
Also It might just be me but compared to other "cute girls doing cute things" anime, this show has almost no or minimal yuri undertones..which I find ok , it's nice seeing genuine friendship develop (that are not romantic) among girls every once in a while.

How old was Yamaji when he was still employed by Yoko's family? Did they go bankrupt/her dad go on the run because it was revealed they used child labor or something? Do Yoko and Futaba still have their jobs?
Teru and Luka (not her real name) have pretty cute cats, but Yoko's dog is better.
That's kind of true...and while shoujo ai is life, the show doesn't even feel any worse for lack of it.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.My word, while Serina hasn't quite let go of her rivalry with Teru, they bond surprisingly quickly over cute kittens, don't they? Commonality Connection?
And also, oh wow, it looks like there's really just two degrees of separation (from Youko) among the supporting cast. All we're missing are the twins. Wonder what THEIR connection to Youko is.
& Sansha Sanyou, as noted, is very old of a series, older than when the archetypical Kirara series gets codified by the likes of Hidamari Sketch. So you may say it's more similar to Azumanga or even Doki Doki School Hours than, say, Anne Happy.
The lack of yuri doesn't affect me. I don't really read any Kirara series for its yuri value, and I have the tendency to interpret Les Yay in the most heterosexual way possible, because there're far more heterosexuals than homosexuals. That said, I'm not so absurd to think Sakura Trick's cast is actually straight, nor does yuri affects my enjoyment.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaBut yeah, Kirara anime are great. They're so cute, and funny, and heartwarming, and relaxing, and funny, and cute.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.If I recall Azumanga and Doki doki school hours had their share of yuri in them....heck Doki doki school hours even added yaoi for good measure ( The Suetake pair were a reliable source of comedy).
Anyways , although I don't mind yuri, it would be nice to see more heterosexual kirara shows that are focused more on friendship than shipping sometime in the future.

Azumanga had Kaorin, who is incredible and I wish her all the best. Not too much else, though there's still shipping of course.
The comedy and friendship are the most important things by far in these type of shows, but homo shiptease never hurts. I enjoy it in the series that pull it off, but I don't miss it here. There's plenty of other series for that, so maybe it's good to take a break.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.So it's Jolly Saint Nick's fault that Teru's darkness began.
Yamaji's a first-class butler alright. He has instant teleportation in his skill set!
Sakura's confidence sure is something.
Hm? I'm hearing some commotion. But it's being drowned out by Yoko's sheer happiness on receiving some quality MEAT!! That was funny. And cute.
The best black hole is a black hole that can prepare its own meals.
The OTHER Kirara adaptation for the Spring 2016 Anime season, so let's get the summary aside first:
That done, Three-Person Trefoil is bit of an odd duck as far as Kirara adapts go. First off, this manga is old — It first started in 2003, which puts it in the same timeframe as Kanamemo, or even the Azumanga Daioh anime. Second, this is probably Cherry Arai's first commercial manga break, so it's sort of rough around the edges as far as comedy goes, especially when you compare it to his (her?) later work Engaged To The Unidentified.
And finally, it has guys in it as recurring cast. You don't see THAT a lot in Kirara series, huh?
