Name: Alan Philip
Gender: Male
Age: 36
Appearance: Alan is a man with auburn, short hair. He also has brown eyes. His size is about 5'3, pretty average if a bit on the shorter side. Alan usually wears a white t-shirt. He doesn't really care about fashion.
Personality: He's an optimist, as in his glass is half full. He likes to help when he can, but sometimes ends up making things much, much worse.
Backstory: Alan has been wandering Eden for maybe 1 week. He doesn't remember how he got there, and he sure as hell doesn't know why. He was just sitting around and then things went black for a bit, and then he was in Eden. He isn't even from this realm. Last thing Alan remembers before appearing here was falling down. That's it. Don't worry, he doesn't have amnesia or anything, it's just the "Coming to Eden" part that's blurry to him. He had a pretty happy childhood, with a few bumps, dead dog, you know, routine stuff. Odd thing about his childhood is, from time to time he would see a man in some black trench coat watching him.
Equipment: He's got a pen, some paper, and a dagger he found after wandering Eden for a bit.
Powers: As far as he knows, Alan is in no way magical. He can play a mean trumpet though, so there's that.
Other Notes: Nothing I can think of at the moment.

Huh. This is intriguing. One quick question: if someone with a terminal illness, like, say, throat cancer, went to Eden, what would the effect be on their disease?

Well ~Tojin, the person would still have their terminal illness but it would be much easier to cure in Eden due to how much magic and mages are there, as well as the advanced healing tech Unita is in possession of.

What exactly is the city like in a more technological way? We have magic but also you mentioned advance healing tech. How advance are we talking here? Should we just consider tech like a kitchen sink as well with so many different people and worlds, or do you have a general tech level for the world and or city.

~darkdestinysoul, so sorry for the late reply. The tech is really just present day with a few futuristic bits and bobs. The "advanced healing tech" in question can be re-engineered Medicguns from TF2 or some shit. lol But yeah, it's generally present day, though most of the stuff you see come from all kinds of different countries.

Name: Terrance "Terry" Lincoln.
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Appearance: A young man with neck-length black hair and silver eyes He is normally dressed in a dark hoodie over a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers.
Personality: Good-natured and easygoing, but quite shy. He's also a bit of an airhead. A native of Eden, Terry isn't mad per-se, but then again, someone who's unfazed by the strangeness of Eden can't be fully sane either.
Backstory: Born in Eden, Terry's life has been fairly normal...or at least, as normal as it gets when living in a world of madness and possibility. He grew up somewhere near the borders of Unita, until an incident involving a bowl of steaming hot noodles and a drunken rune-carver warped Terry to a completely foreign part of Eden. Currently, the Edenite has spent 3 days wandering around, trying to find his way back to Unita.
Equipment: Terry has a bowie knife and crossbow sheathed on his belt and a bag containing some money, water, ammunition and some miscellaneous items.
Powers: Terry has the power to create and control shadows. Currently divided into 3 primary abilities:
- Able to create simple solid constructs out of shadow. Currently, Terry only knows how to create a shadow tendril that is very versatile in terms of usage, a dome of shadows to block group attacks, and a blade the size of a short-sword. However, the shadow constructs lose form if they go beyond 5 meters away from him.
- Can use the shadows to travel unimpeded by walls or obstacles, so long as there is a shadow within range. Current range is 15 meters.
- Has perfect night vision, and can see as clearly in complete darkness as he can in the day. He's also a fairly good shot with his crossbow.
Other notes: None at the moment.

Appearance: A navy blue pea jacket over a purple dress shirt, stands at seven feet tall, short red hair, ice blue eyes framed by glasses.
Personality: Stubborn, smart, and clever, this withdrawn man is nice, and can talk someone's ear off if they let him. (Most don't.)
Equipment: A seven shot revolver (With only seven bullet), a foldable shovel, and various other things.
Powers: A basic understanding of marksmanship, fighting with his shovel, psychology, and alchemy is all Stephen has in terms of powers.
Backstory: Met a friend, friend gave him magic key, key can allow travel between worlds. Pretty simple stuff.
Other Notes ; He's left handed.

Due to inactivity on everyone's part (mainly mine), as well as with technical issues for the software that I render this universe in, unfortunately I am gonna have to shut this RP down.
I was naive to think that my first RP as GM in a play-by-post format would last, especially based in a universe that depends on very unstable software and conditions.

Welcome to the world of Eden, where our reality and the worlds we make in our minds collide into a Nexus Point of madness, creating a new dimension altogether. Many are a native, though some often stumble upon this place for a variety of reasons. Many of them travelling through the worlds of fiction, others travelling from the reality in which we dwell in today. And here, what separates you is not your race, creed, nationality, occupation, status, orientation or gender... but your sanity.
Eden, aptly named after the religious ''Garden of Eden,'' is a realm of paradise, an infinite world of possibility. And in the center of it all, is the only source of sanity in the infinite plane of madness. That source is the city-state of ''Unita'' (only in name), mostly consisting of ordinary human beings who have come from various corners of our planet, whether they be the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Kurdistan, Singapore or the Phillipines. And all that surrounds Unita, is a land of madness. And it is up to you whether you are with the sanity, or part of the madness.
Feel free to read any information within these folders. I condensed the information into those folders to make this less daunting. (An idea taken from Heroic Sociopath on his own signup post)
Folks native to this realm, or those who have joined in on the madness are generally regarded as Edenites. The population of this infinite void is unknown, so the demographics of such cannot really be quantified or qualified.
Unita is ruled by the tyrannical dictator who goes by the name of Voss Morgan, who rules Unita with an iron fist. His fascist policies, awful foreign policy and just his general asshole behavior sparked the rebellion in the region. Most of Unita's revenue is generated by the legal (and illegal) exchange of goods to and from the colony, whether Unita mines and farms all of the land in and around it, or steals massive shipments of arms and supplies from random (and sometimes deserving) Edenite transports. Due to an ongoing civil war, the economy is a bit fucked right now.
That is where their military comes in. There are three branches of the military. The State Police, Home Guard and Foreign Legion. The State Police act as the policemen for the city state, and often solve internal issues (like corruption, murder, theft, etc... though they have turned to the more oppressive route: killing unarmed citizens, shooting at protestors, etc.), while the Home Guard act as the National Guard for the city, and defend Unita from all outside threats, be they aliens, monsters or rebels. They get almost all of the goodies (SAMS, Tanks, Fighter Jets, etc.). The Foreign Legion, on the other hand, act as the external action force for Unita. They retrieve personnel (lost travellers, fugitives, hostages, people in distress), goods (food, weapons, supplies, vehicles, money), and information (by spying and espionage). While they get a nice slice of the Military Goodies pie, it's not as big as the Home Guard.
Unita, having been surrounded by madness, is the only sanity left in Eden, and often tries to retrieve people from our reality who accidentally entered the realm in order to bring them into their safe and productive society. However, that's what it was supposed to be... as the civil war goes on, Unita becomes even more insane than Eden ever was.
More will come as we RP.
The other three were just Eden or Unita alone, but that's boring/taxing so... please tell me what path you would like to choose. Majority wins, and I'll count the votes. Please tell me your vote at the bottom of your post as either "(Path 1)" or "(Path 2)" so they are easier to count with Ctrl+F.
Also, you guys are free to decide/come up with new imformation or content for the RP if you guys wanna in the OOC discussion thread. Sometimes I run out of ideas (sleep deprivation and poor diet screws my mind) and I might ask you guys for some feedback on what to do next when in Eden. So... yay Democracy! :D
UPDATE: Since the RP already got rolling a while ago, ignore all of what you see in this folder.
Also I will most likely be using a variety of software to create images of characters in order to help me describe mine (Photoshop and Source Filmmaker), as I am shit at describing people. I will also invoke a song here and there to make a 'theme' of the post in order to help establish the mood. I'm a filmmaker so I like to do that. It might help people get ideas from music... unless I am the only one in the world who does. XD
