Grrrrrr...I really hate that the forums are size-reducing pics again.
As I don't give a rat's ass about this show, I don't necessarily mind the current, but the credits text at the bottom can be cropped and the black around it can be trimmed down some.
I prefer the old image mainly because it's less crowded.
Same here.
(Annoyed grunt)The black is certainly bad. The art style is different from the show, so I can't tell if it's official or fan made. I think the previous is better.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.According to the troper that changed the image, it was made by one of the writers.
Just because a poster is "interesting" does not justify a change.
I vote revert, then message the user if the user wasn't messaged already.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportWay ahead of you. I already PM'd the troper. Should I send him/her a link to the thread?
Done.

Alrighty. Also, yes please.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportPrefer the former.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Reasons why the new image is better: the art style is amazing and superb, Garnet and Amethyst are in their new outfits, and it adds more feeling of wonder.
Your receipt. You can keep the freakin' change.Also. I found the new image interesting because of how well the style is. If the black is bothering people, just simply crop the image a bit.
Your receipt. You can keep the freakin' change. The thing is: for the page picture, an artstyle different from the main one can deceiving as it could give a false sense of indication on what the show looks like to others, especially if the work's not well known or within the same medium as the picture.
We're not making pages for ourselves. We're documenting tropes for the general public as they they appear in fiction. This is why we have policies such as Example Indentation, prohibitions against Natter and Zero Context Examples, etc.

Revert, there's a noticeable difference in art style. This isn't like Indiana Jones where people know it's live action, or 2D art for 3D games where it's necessary sometimes for good images like the Kingdom Hearts games
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? Will the art style actually lead people off? That seems unlikely. And I'm sure a number of people already know what the show looks like.
Your receipt. You can keep the freakin' change. Please revert. It looks more like something out of Star Wars (my guess was it was intended as a parody pic of such) and looks out of place on the page.

I've decided to place the old image back. So that the new one won't bother anyone anymore.

Your receipt. You can keep the freakin' change. The more important thing to keep in mind is that page pics shouldn't be changed arbitrarily. The general policy is that if you want a pic changed on a page, you need to make a thread in Image Pickin' about the requested change, spelling out your reason(s) and presenting your suggestion(s) for the replacement. See How To Pick A Good Image, About Images And Copyright, and the pinned post in this thread for more info.
So, does anybody have an idea for a new caption or are we done here?
Did the previous image have a caption?
2:
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
The previous caption is practically the same as the current one, only, it had a note stating who each character was:
Also, ~The Tropper. Don't assume everyone knows what the show normally looks like. What you're doing here is demonstrating Fan Myopia, a practice wildly discouraged here on this wiki.

That looks better than the image that it was changed to, but it still looks really busy.
Reaction Image RepositoryI like the poster a lot, but...I don't know if the style discrepancy is appropriate. I do prefer the "business" to the more barebones promo art, personally.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.I'm also concerned about the style discrepancy. The one that changed it to the poster shrugged it off because "people will already know what the show normally looks like", but that to me, that reasoning sounds like Fan Myopia as Steven Universe isn't the most well known cartoon around.
~The Tropper changed the page pic from the previous one with the following reason: "Very interesting poster made by Joe Johnston. One of the show's writers."
Previous image:
Current image:
Personally, I believe the former picture's better on sheer merit about it being smaller.
