What does everyone think of the caption "And she loves frilly pink dresses." ?

It's a direct quote from the show, about the character in question, though not from the scene depicted.

The image caption on the WesternAnimation.Monsters Inc page had the tagline "You won't believe your eye", before it was changed to "We're M.I., Monsters, Incorporated. We scare because we care." back in December 2023.

That said, should we use the quote or the tagline for the caption?

The caption for WesternAnimation.Batman Beyond is a referential caption referencing Looney Tunes (specifically Duck Dodgers).

While it is admittedly clever, I know referential captions are no longer allowed, so may I suggest this tagline instead (from this ad)?

Is there an actual moratorium on referential captions? Because quite frankly, I prefer the current over a rather generic tagline (even one with a pun). It’s not like Looney Tunes is a niche reference anyways.

I propose that ALL the captions on Characters.Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends Main Characters and Characters.Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends Other Characters are removed, as they serve no purpose other than to be funny...which they utterly fail at IMO.

I assumed they were taglines or something. If they're just quips, they are a bit distracting.

Oh dear, I've somehow only just now learned of Recap.Fraggle Rock Back To The Rock despite most of my edits on the wiki being about that show. Only 13 of 27 episode pages are "finished" ("Night of the Lights" is noticeably unfinished, and all are stubs made of entries mostly copied from other pages), but what I want to focus on cleaning up first are the captions...

• "Pilot": "The Trash Heap has spoken! Nyaaah!" A bit of a generic Character Catchphrase, but for better or worse it fits the scene pictured. Typically, the Fraggle fandom spells the Verbal Tic of Philo and Gunge as "nyeh!" instead of "nyah!"

• "Red and the Big Jump": "Just say no." The episode is about consent, but this sounds like an anti-drug message. On the original series pages, I've often replaced similarly messy captions with song lyrics from the episode. As such, here I propose a line from the song "Every Voice" that sums up the aesop: "♫ Just know there's strength in what you say ♫"

• "The Merggle Moon Migration": "Yes, Red does have eyelids." Err, what? True, I guess, but completely irrelevant to the episode, and not the first time Red's eyelids have been shown. I don't know what to replace with because it's basically just a picture of Red and Mokey being sleepy.

• "The Glow": "Oh no! Someone call the volunteer fire department!" In Fraggle Rock, the volunteer fire department is where Wembley works. Despite what you may assume from the combination of the caption and the fiery glow of Boober's tail, it is never mentioned in the episode. I propose a lyric from the song "Glow Away": "♫ I wish it would glow, glow, glow away ♫"

• "Four Wembleys and a Birthday": "Don't worry, he always acts like this." This caption seems to be intended for a picture of Wembley panicking, but all he is doing in the picture is sitting. I'd don't know what to replace this with, because, again, it's a picture of Wembley sitting down.

• "The Legend of Icy Joe": "No, they never mention why she's called "Joe"." It is true that Icy Joe has a Gender-Blender Name that the series never acknowledges, but it is completely unimportant to the episode. Again, I think there is a lyric caption, this time from the titular song, that sums up the episode better: "♫ We know that she's a hero, 'cause the stories tell us so! ♫"

• "Flight of the Flutterflies": "No, that's not a Ditzy." The Ditzies are glowing balls of light that are only focused on in one episode of the original series, otherwise only getting a cameo in another as well as, of all places, the preschool Doozers cartoon that otherwise has very little to do with the franchise. The Flutterflies are lightning bug/butterfly hybrids. I do not believe that the Ditzies have a monopoly on glowing, flying creatures, especially ones that are only superficially similar. A better caption might be a line from Boober's toast near the end of the episode, but I unfortunately don't memorize it.

• "Craggle Lagoon": "This isn't the first time she's dressed like this, either." Incredibly generic way to point out that the episode is a call-back to "Inspector Red" from the original. My proposal instead, as yelled by Red herself: "Inspector Red is on the case!"

• "The Giggle Gaggle Games": "Ignore the fact that Mokey looks like Marge Simpson." Err... WHAT?! Seriously, this is a very odd caption. Is it because they both have blue hair? That's where the similarities end. Mokey looks like this in every single episode of the series. I also worry if this is stealth complaining as Mokey's redesign and which Mokey design is better are very touchy pieces of flame bait in some circles of the Muppet fandom. As the screenshot is from "Same Light", I propose the main reoccurring lyric: "♫ The same light shines inside us all! ♫

• "Wembley the Spokesfraggle": "No, that's not Elvis." Another baffling one. Jack Hammer does not look or act like Elvis. If anything, I've seen comparisons to Guy Fieri. Yet again, I propose a song lyric, from "Ball of Fire": "You could be a walkin', talkin', breathin' ball of fire!"

• "Deep Dive": "Unsurprisingly, this doesn't end well." Captain Obvious statement regarding how bad an idea it is to zipline through stalactites. No clue what to replace with.

• "Into the Trash": "She may be trash, but she feels like garbage." This is the ONLY one I actually fully like and feel OK with keeping.

• "All of Us": "The end... or is it?" First of all, the image itself is a MAJOR spoiler - one that ultimately never lead to anything in season 2, but still a big twist. Second, this is as generic a comment on a season finale as they come. No clue what to replace the caption with as, quite frankly, image should probably go too.

Let me know your thoughts on my analysis.

The caption for Classical Music Is Boring is literally just a blue link, no clever puns or anything. Here's a suggestion based on a Pink Floyd lyric maybe:

I was wondering if it would be okay if I re-add this caption to Creator.Austin St John:

I know that we normally don't due such captions, but it is a cute reference to his most well-known role in my opinion.

On Awesome.The Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom ~Wayward Typhoon 7 unilaterally changed the caption established by the thread. The caption that was agreed upon ("You don't have to fight all by yourself, you know!") is a quote from the same scene as the page image. The updated quote ("It's dangerous to go alone... so don't.") is anything but that.

Apologies, I wasn't aware the caption for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom had been discussed in this thread, as the page notes didn't mention it. If someone wants to change it back, I suppose I'm in no position to object.

Funny.The Fox And The Hound has an irrelevant meme in the caption.

I do. It's a quote from a classic Batman comic, when the term "boner" was slang for a bone-headed mistake.

Too obscure and too unconnected to the image.

Alternate suggestion: "What happens when the guy who doesn't have a plan tries to come up with one."

The caption on ''WesternAnimation.The Owl House is far too lengthy. May I suggest shortening it to just this portion, which are the Arc Words from the show.
