Oh no! Someone call the Volunteer Fire Department!
Boober discovers that his baloobius glows, which he tries to hide by placing a "bizzle" (a water bottle) on his tail, which goes awry when the other Fraggles begin looking for the bizzle, which was brought back by Uncle Traveling Matt. Eventually, Boober meets the Archivist, who shows him that her baloobius glows too and tells him he should not be ashamed of his tail.Meanwhile, Doc deals with plastic litter on the beach. Junior Gorg makes friends with a plant, and builds a fountain in the garden for his father.
This episode contains examples of:
- An Aesop: Be proud of who you are, and don't feel ashamed of the things that make you different. It can also serve as a handy metaphor for coming out.
- Appearance Angst: Boober goes to extreme lengths to hide his glowing baloobius, out of fear that his friends will shun him for being a freak, but is reassured by the Archivist, who explains to him why his baloobius glows and that hers does also. When Boober finally shows his friends, they think it's neat.
- Bad Liar: Wembley is a terrible liar. When the other Fraggles see Boober with the bizzle on his tail (which was Wembley's idea), Wembley first claims that Boober sat on it, and then claims later that it fell and he stretched his tail in the air to catch it.
- Cutaway Gag: Doc wonders aloud who on earth would send a water bottle through the mail. Cut to Uncle Traveling Matt announcing "It's meeeeee!"
- Green Aesop: Done in the Doc and Sprocket portion of the episode, which revolves around Doc cleaning up plastic on the beach - which ties into the rest of the episode, since the "bizzle" is of course a plastic water bottle.
