Inspired by a postcard from Uncle Traveling Matt in which he mentions celebrating a birthday, the Fraggles (who can choose when they want to have their birthdays) decide to throw a party for Wembley, who hasn't had his birthday in a long time. However, each of his friends wants him to do something different - Gobo wants him to listen to a song he wrote, Mokey wants him to meditate with her, Red wants to have a spinning contest with him, and Boober wants him to help guard an icy patch on the ground. Wembley's attempts to please everybody cause him to split into four invisible versions of himself, and he (they?) go(es) to see the Trash Heap, who tells him (them) to go to the Cave of Recombobulation, where he returns to being himself. In the end, he tells his friends that he wants to choose what to do on his birthday.
Doc takes to the Internet to bring attention to the ocean's microplastics problem. Cotterpin and her friend Turbo discover a strange goo.
