Alright, so I spoke up of some ideas, and then several people have begun spinning their own ideas, to the point where a simple idea that I wasn’t going to go for became apparently something I was going to do. So, I decided to actually write up this sign up and see where it goes. The basic setup is that, where as the original JTTM followed the setup of Kamen Rider Decade with the heroes going through multiple worlds and meeting characters within those worlds, this RPG will follow the setup of its Sentai counterpart, Gokaiger. In which the action is focused only on Earth and the heroes fight with those crossover characters acting as mentors, those who approve of them and entrust upon them their own powers. There’s other similarities to Gokaiger I shall draw, but for now, you people want a story, right? Here you go.

This is also an interest check, by the way.

Setting/Plot

We read, play, watch, listen, and enjoy many of the entertaining stories that have been given to us. None of us know, however, that these stories actually exist as different worlds, just as most of them were unaware of our existence. Only a select few know about the idea of alternate universes and even fewer have even managed to travel to these worlds. Balancing the multiverse are three different aspects: Hope, Dream, and Despair. Ruling over those three are the three Deities: Cosmos, Helios, and Chaos. Each of them are formed by the aspects that humanity shared. Cosmos was made out of the willpower and determination of humankind, Helios was created from the imaginations and creativity that their younglings produce, and Chaos was consumed by the insanity and sadness that all of humanity suffer.

Throughout the years, Chaos felt all the sadness and anguish that befell upon many people. At first, he felt saddened as well, but soon... he relished in it. His newfound love for the torment that people face corrupted the once noble deity and soon, he was purposefully causing people to fall into despair. Cosmos and Helios tried to reason with him, but it was too late. His lust for despair had caused him to desire all life to suffer equally, with no hopes or dreams to be had. He set off to attack Earth, hoping for it to be his first target in a long line of despair-filled planets.

Left with no other choice, Cosmos extended her reach to the multiverse and asked many heroes in the worlds for help. In trade for their assistance, Cosmos would put copies of the heroes in their place. Some of these heroes took upon the call, while others preferred to stay in their world. To the latter, Cosmos offered them a solution: Cosmos would take their powers, copy them into tiny keys called Power Keys, and hand them over to a person on Earth, entrusting them with the power to fight. Some of these people complied and handed to her a copy of their powers.

Chaos, however, caught wind of this and decided to bring along his own team, composed of many villains from the multiverse, as well as copying their powers and giving them to several earthlings. Helios was told to stay out of the fight, as he believed that Chaos still has good in him, and if he was involved, would try to help him if just to try and heal him. Cosmos placed her team two months before Chaos would attack. Some hid their identities to avoid being spotted by Earth’s denizens, while others milked on the idea that they’re famous on Earth. Some of them made contact with the people on Earth and even made friends with some of them, others stood by, trained, and waited for Chaos’ attack.

And on the dawn of December 1st, 2012, that time has come. Now the fate of the Earth shall be decided.

The Core Three Rules:

  • No God-modding or Power-Playing. This means no Autokills/Autohits and no autododging/being apparently immortal. This also means no powers that call for those, obviously. If you're not sure what is limited, feel free to see the restricted powers below.
  • No sexual situations. If there is need for one, it must both be consensual, with both parties being at or above the age of consent (in this case, 18), and has a Fade to Black.
  • No arguments, especially with stuff that can pretty much be summed up as “My dad can beat up your dad”.

The Other Rules:

  • You can play up to four characters initially. This equates to two people in each faction. The limit will be lifted when the time calls for it.
  • Someone asked me if I have a scale for power... I've decide that anything over Super Weight: 3 might be pushing it for the first arcs.

Notes and Other Such Info:

  • Unlike the other JTTM RPG, you don't have to play a Self Insert. You could just play an OC. Or a Canon character. Or what have you.
  • Translator Microbes in this RPG are magically gifted to the canon characters by Chaos/Cosmos.

Restricted Powers:

  • Immortality (Obvious)
  • Telekensis (Silver the Hedgehog shows us why)
  • Time Stop (Dio Brando shows us why)
  • Mind Control (Big no-no)

Sign Up Info:

  • Name:
  • Age:
  • Gender:
  • Appearance:
  • Kind: (Is your character an OC or a canon character?)
  • Powers: (Basically what powers they have, if they have a copied power, state who they got it from)

  • World of Origin:
  • Personality: (How would this character act)
  • Bio: (A little backstory of how your character is shaped to the personality listed above. In the case of the Canon characters, you might also wanna describe how they got to Earth and what they're up to before the RPG begins.)

So, um, as long as I don't have to use a self-insert...

  • Name: Arturia Pendragon, "Saber"
  • Age: Her physical age is likely somewhere around 16 due to Avalon freezing her physical aging in life. However, in actuality, she is older than that. Also, she's King Arthur and is therefore ancient as well.
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: "Ex..."
  • Kind: Canon
  • Powers: Saber is a Servant, a Heroic Spirit constrained to one of the Seven Servant Classes. Obviously, her class is Saber. She is extremely fast and strong, though not the fastest or strongest of Servants. She wears magic armor, which easily deflects mundane weaponry. Purely mundane weapons are incapable of harming her. It will take extremely high-power weapons, or magical weapons, to do damage. Saber is durable, and capable of recovering from grievous injury. She has two Noble Phantasms, though one is technically magecraft. The first is Invisible Air, which is capable of becoming a sheath that renders her second Noble Phantasm invisible. It can also be used as a projectile. The second is Excalibur, the Sword of Promised Victory. It is an incredibly powerful and holy weapon, a sword that is impossible to break(though this is because it's a Noble Phantasm as well as... being Excalibur). Its most powerful ability is to unleash an immense blast of prana which is capable of killing an immense amount of targets or destroying an entire fortress. She cannot simply spam this ability, as she lacks Avalon, which gives her a vast amount of prana with which to use for Excalibur. She is also unlikely to use it if there's a risk of collateral damage or killing allies. At most, she could manage one shot per day if there's no risk of collateral damage or killing allies. Saber is also immune to most magic. While this is a defense, it also makes it difficult, if not impossible, to buff or heal her using magic.
  • Side: Cosmos
  • World of Origin: The Nasuverse
  • Personality: Saber is strong-willed and stubborn, as well as very brave and utterly determined. She suppresses her emotions in most situations, though social situations often bring out her insecurities. She considers herself as a warrior first, before anything else. Saber holds little mercy towards opponents. As the king of knights, she has a strong sense of honor. In spite of this strong personality, Saber can become shy and withdrawn in regular social situations due to the previously mentioned insecurities.
  • Bio: Spoiler-free! Was the King of England, died, got summoned in the Fourth Holy Grail War, got summoned again in the Fifth, had some issues there, got summoned again for the events of Battle Moon Wars. After encountering Cosmos, she made arrangements with her Master to leave for a few months to assist in defeating Chaos. Her identity has remained a secret, something Saber is not unused to.

I am hesitant to join. Extremely hesitant. But I have two ideas sitting in my head, one canon, one canon but a Featureless Protagonist (thank you trope gods for changing that trope name.)

Might make a Cosmos character on top of this, but we shall see. Author Avatar go! >.> <.<

  • Name: Moerin*
  • Age: 25
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Courtesy of an awesome friend. Heightwise, she's about 6'1".
  • Kind: OC
  • Powers: Possesses the Arcle, which allows her to transform into Kamen Rider Kuuga. To begin with, she only has access to the Growing and standard Mighty forms. Notably, Moerin cannot ride a motorcycle, and thus uses a pushbike instead.
  • Side: Chaos
  • World of Origin: Our Earth.
  • Personality: Hammy, silly and something of a perv, with a notable love of boyish girls and girlish boys. Refuses to act her age most of the time, but when she does it's usually a bad sign. She has a strong sense of justice, and is quick to jump to the defence of anyone she feels has been wronged, but other than that she's kinda lazy. She's also kind of a nerd, and enjoys cooking, reading and random bouts of philosophy. Unfortunately, she also suffers from an inferiority complex and tends to put everyone else before herself, and has a habit of apologising far too much when she believes she has done something wrong.
  • Bio: There's nothing much to say, really. Just a boring, ordinary life leading to a boring, ordinary existence. She's currently directionless and lost without any real purpose in life, but that doesn't stop her from trying to find one. Unfortunately, her strong sense of justice coupled with her somewhat anarchic tendencies has somehow led her to join the side of Chaos, in hopes of using them to crush the corrupt old order and build a better future for all*.

I have no idea whether this would count as one hero or two; I don't think I'll sign up as another heroic character anyways.

  • Name: Razzil Darkbrew, the Alchemist
  • Age: ?? (White beard indicates something, at least, maybe.)
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: Call me Al! He's the brains of the operation.
  • Kind: Canon character
  • Powers: Razzil is good with chemistry (as his name would suggest) and is capable of melting armor with noxious chemicals, hurling flasks of unstable chemicals at enemies, and transmuting elements into wonderful, wonderful gold. His Ogre is strong and tough; Razzil can send him into a drug-fuelled chemical rage to further increase his combat prowess.
  • Side: Cosmos
  • World of Origin: DOTA 2
  • Personality: Razzil looks out mostly for number one: having been convicted in the past for his crimes, he isn't exactly willing to trust anyone other than his mount, who likewise has some shady criminal past that he's not willing to diverge. However, once you look past his self-centered mindset and his love of gold, you'll find an essentially good heart and a kind soul.
  • Bio: The sacred science of Chymistry was a Darkbrew family tradition, but no Darkbrew had ever shown the kind of creativity, ambition, and recklessness of young Razzil. However, when adulthood came calling he pushed aside the family trade to try his hand at manufacturing gold through Alchemy. In an act of audacity befitting his reputation, Razzil announced he would transmute an entire mountain into gold. Following two decades of research and spending and preparation, he failed spectacularly, quickly finding himself imprisoned for the widespread destruction his experiment wrought. Yet Razzil was never one to take a setback lightly, and sought escape to continue his research. When his new cellmate turned out to be a fierce ogre, he found just the opportunity he needed. After convincing the ogre not to eat him, Razzil set about carefully concocting a tincture for it to drink, made from the moulds and mosses growing in the prison stone work. In a week’s time, it seemed ready. When the ogre drank the potion, it flew into an unstoppable berserker rage, destroying the cell bars and exploding through walls and guards alike. They soon found themselves lost somewhere in the forest surrounding the city with a trail of wreckage in their wake and no signs of pursuit. In the tonic’s afterglow, the ogre seemed serene, happy, and even eager. Resolving to work together, the pair set off to collect the materials needed to attempt Razzil’s Alchemic transmutation once more. (official bio)

[up] Okay, first of all, Kind refers to if your character is OC or Canon. In this case, it'd be canon. Second, canon characters should have a bit in their bio about being contacted by Cosmos/Chaos and being taken to Earth, and what they're doing during the two months before Chaos' attack.

Other than that, Accepted.

And now it seems like any good excuse to dump two of the characters I signed up as.

  • Name: Perry Turts
  • Age: 15
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: TENSOU! CHANGE! GOSEIGER!
  • Kind: OC
  • Powers: He is given the Power Key of Gosei Green, wich gives him access to the Tensouder and the Gosei Cards, which include the following:
    • A Change Card to change him to Gosei Green
    • Three Summon Cards, one to summon his Seaick Lancer, and another to summon his Turtle Headder, and the last to summon the Gosei Turtle Gosei Machine.
    • A Gosei Dynamic Card to unleash his finishing attack.
    • The following Seaick Power Gosei Cards
    • He'll later gain a Miracle Gosei Power card to transform him into Super Gosei Green, as well as a Miracle Gosei Dynamic.
  • Side: Cosmos
  • World of Origin: Our Earth.
  • Personality: Perry is a Heroic Wannabe, looking for adventure. He wants to help everyone, and he doesn't want to make enemies. He often just fantasies about the adventures he has, and never really had the time to think logically about the real life consequences behind being a hero.
  • Bio: Perry moved into his town a while ago, and had a hard time making friends, even when he tried to fit in. His parents were usually out of the house, leaving him bored and lone, trying to think of what to do with his time. He read books, causing him to get more and more enthusiastic about being a hero and being loved by everyone, and making new friends. During dinner time, he often heads to the local bakery where he orders his usual desert of a cupcake. Two months before the invasion, a new person was hired for the bakery. A girl named Tomoe Mami. The two seemed to hit it off pretty well and became some pretty good friends, with Mami admiring Perry's desire to be a hero. Perhaps there was more to the worker than Perry noticed...

  • Name: Omar Kurd
  • Age: 17
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearence: Let's... Morphin'...
  • Kind: OC
  • Powers: He is given the Power Key of one of Enter's powers. The power to become Dark Buster, and thus has access to the Go-Buster's gear.
  • Side: Chaos
  • World of Origin: Our Earth.
  • Personality: Omar is a sadist. He loves trolling people and seeing their reactions, not caring about their feelings being destroyed. He believes the world is just a stage and that everyone's an actor. He, however, doesn't like to dirty his hands and prefers to stick out of battles as best as he can.
  • Bio: Omar is a real piece of work. Since birth, he had always had a trolling people and absorbing their reactions. His parents were fed up with him very easily, needless to say. Kicked out of the house at the age of ten, he began to understand the seedier nature of humans, and their deep inner turmoil. When he finally understood it, he approached child services and told them about how his parents kicked him out of the house, lying and obscuring the reason why they kicked him out to make it look like a case of abuse. He watched and enjoyed their parents' suffering as they were called out by the services and were arrested. He was then put into an orphanage at the age of 17, told only to leave when he turns 18. And his birthday is just a few months away...

Can I use a character with hyper-competent healing and immortality? I was thinking of using one of my universe-travelers, but only Gateway isn't hideously broken despite being said immortal.

If that's not fine would a pyrokinetic gadgeteer genius be okay?

  • Name: Pierre Kirk
  • Age: 20
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: This.
  • Kind: OC
  • Powers: The copied abilities of a Knight of the Word from The Word And The Void series:
    • Physically enhanced, making him capable of withstanding far more damage than a normal human, and stopping aging.
    • Wields a magical staff capable of creating forcefields around its wielder and nearby individuals, firing holy magic at enemies with varying effects, and serving as a very useful walking stick.
    • Not exactly a power, but... a bad leg, making it difficult for him to walk. This drawback is taken away if the world becomes a Crapsack World, and is replaced with peak physical fitness.
    • The ability to see invisible things, as long as the invisibility is caused by some form of magic.
    • Sees visions of the worst-case scenario future(in this case, probably Chaos winning) whenever he sleeps. Any harm inflicted in his dreams is retained in the waking world.
  • Side: Cosmos
  • World of Origin: Our world.
  • Personality: A somber, blunt man, Pierre is always quick to be cynical. Despite this, he does desire to do good, even if it probably won't make a difference.
  • Bio: Pierre has lived a pretty average life. He went to school, graduated, went to college. He's worked at the local library for about a year, and has developed a love for works set in dystopias.

Do all OCs have to be normals that got a Power Key? Also, what's your opinion on any type of demi-god? Because the gadgeteer genius was from a Camp Half-Blood A&R at the U Ca G. It was vastly noncanon, and what does "Made safe functional rocket boots with random stuff in a mess hall" sound for skill level?

That's the usual idea with Earth-based OCs, but from what you're saying, you're indicating an OC from another fandom... This I'll allow, mainly because it'd be interesting. I'm not exactly sure of the full extent to Demi-Gods in the Heroes of Olympus verse, but I understand enough to say they're allowed, since they're pretty much just "The child of a god and a human" as opposed to "This guy's just one step away from god hood!"

  • Name: Takaya Sakaki
  • Age: Somewhere around 30
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: [1]
  • Kind: Canon
  • Powers:
    • Carries a revolver
    • Can summon his Persona Hypnos. A summoned Persona appears in front of the summoner, casts a spell and disappears, but it can always be summoned again. The spells Hypnos can use are:
      • Agidyne: Causes a fiery explosion around the target
      • Bufudyne: Encases the target in ice which quickly shatters afterwards
      • Ziodyne: Causes lightning to strike on the target
      • Garudyne: Creates a tornado around the target
      • Megidola: Causes a smaller explosion of energy. Unblockable.
      • Megidolaon: Causes a larger explosion of energy. Unblockable.
      • Mind Charge: Takaya focusses, greatly increasing the power of his next attack
    • Additionally, his Persona grants Takaya an immunity towards light- and darkness-based attacks.
  • Side: Chaos
  • World of Origin: Persona 3
  • Personality: Takaya is a cold and indifferent man with a rather negative view of the world. He is a misanthropic being with no concern for any life other than his own. Takaya is melancholic, believing that humanity wishes for the salvation of death and thinking of the future as an illusion. Takaya's actions and philosophy seems to stem from the fact that he has nothing to actually live for: the fact that he is dying seems to have some impact to his mental state; he is a bitter and weak-willed man who is simply trying to find some excitement in his short life, and that in fact he is jealous of others for their hope and will to live.
  • Bio: At a young age, he and 99 other children were unwillingly subjected to experiments in which they were supposed to recieve artificial Personae. However, out of the 100 children only he and two others survived. Since then he had to constantly take medication which drasticaslly shortens his life expectation or the Persona would turn against him and kill him. He later formed a group with the two other survivors, calling themselves Strega. Strega tried to prevent the heroes from preventing the end of the world but failed. During these attemts the other two survivors died as well, leaving him alone and desperate. In this desperation, Chaos made him the offer of fighting with him, which he gladly accepted.

Accepted. Though I'd advise that you change up the effects of the powers to have them translated in a non-game situation. Also, Our Earth is different from the Persona 3/4 Earth. The multiverse pretty much has it that every work is its own world, with some exceptions (like how Persona 4 had nods to Persona 3).

  • Name: Ryan Steele
  • Age: Sixteen
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: "This carbonated drink just sprayed me!" "I told you not to shake it sir..." The first is pretty close to what I imagine Ryan as while the second is his gynoid servant Ashley.
  • Kind: OC
  • Powers & Items: Pyrokinesis (Able to generate and control fire, naturally resistant to fire), Gadgeteer Genius (He's able to make advanced tech that shouldn't be possible in both nature and creation, such as an insanely human robot or rocket boots made from spoons and wood), Rocket Boots (Aforementioned apparently made of wood and spoons rocket boots, they seem to be thought-controlled for deciding the strength of the rockets)
  • Side: Cosmos
  • World of Origin: Alternate Heroes of Olympus
  • Personality: Despite being constantly shown magic exists, he compulsively rejects the concept and attempts to rationalize it no matter how ridiculous it sounds. He lives almost exclusively by the personal motto "If it sounds cool, then build it!" He ignores how his creations tend to be impossible by normal means, such as making rocket boots out of random stuff by his table in a mess hall. Despite all this he's a 'hero' mainly because destruction of all he knows would make learning the secrets of the universe or creating fun stuff difficult.
  • Bio: Fathered by the Greek God Hephaestus, Ryan took to creation like a fish does with swimming. Raised by his mother she eventually married and obtained a step-son. Nobody in his family truly understood what he was, though his compulsive desire to tinker and create was viewed as a problem. Eventually, over the years as they tried to "resolve" this problem he was subsequently noticed by Camp Half-Blood and monsters. Feverishly denying all instances of magic, he none the less was brought to the camp. He began work on a humanoid robot he named Amanda to be his masterpiece, but when finally finished other members of the camp were startled by her very realistic nature. This resulted in her termination by the quest leader and Poseidon Demi-God Ken Stevens. Literally unable to process the hatred, and wondering why anyone would want to make things harder for themselves the only thing he was able to salvage was emotion processor. He ran off when they entered the first town, and was separated from the rest as he tried to create a new creation with Amanda's emotion possessor. Noticing Ryan's determination Cosmos appeared to convince him to her aid. Thinking over it he had no long attachment to this world and accepted the offer on the belief the new world would better accept his creations. From there he finished his newest creation, Ashley, a couple days before 12/1/12.

Can I add some items? I'll finish this later and I'll fix anything that doesn't work.
