Out of curiosity, what is everyone's first game? I mean this in the literal sense, what was the very first game you ever remember playing? Or if you can't remember your first, what's your favorite game(s)? Why do you like those games?

My first was Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages I think. I never got to the second dungeon, and I lost the game a very long time ago.

My favorite game(s) are a three way tie between Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Team Fortress 2, and Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.

The first one I remember clearly is Crash Bandicoot 2.

My current favourite is Persona 4.

Estimated shipping time: 2-4 weeks.

Earliest game I remember playing is Alley Cat on IBM, but I'm pretty sure I played other games earlier that I just can't remember.

Favourite game is a bit tougher, but I'll go with the original Deus Ex.

First video game was probably Combat or Frogger on Atari 2600.

Favourite game is hard. Probably The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Maybe Fallout 1+2.

You really like the first two Fallout's? I tried watching some LP's of them. Looked awful.

Don't knock it 'til you've played it. Fallout is one of the best RP Gs ever made, Fallout 2 is great as well.

They're not that pretty (though not ugly for their time either), and they're probably terrible for Let's Play. However, they're very fun to play, and you can choose one of many different playing styles. They're also funny and have great voices. The difficulty is just about what you want. Want it harder? Just turn up the difficulty, or my own favourite, create a character with some serious disadvantages.

First game was some nondescript olympics/sports game for the PS 1. First one I can accurately recall is Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped.

Favourite is... I'm gonna go with Pokemon Ruby.

My first games were Super Mario World and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (I got them both on the same day). I still love them to bits.

As for my favorite game, overall? Why, Super Mario Galaxy, of course. It has a certain... je ne sais quoi to it that I don't think even its direct sequel possesses.

I think my first game was Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I remember staying up late to finish it.

My favorite game would be Burnout 3: Takedown. It is perhaps the most exciting and fun game I have played. Following that are Rock Band and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal.

First would be Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt. I was annoyed that I couldn't shoot that fucking dog.

My favourite would be the Mass Effect games.

My first game...ooh, I can't quite remember. It was either some Sonic The Hedgehog game for the Game Gear or Raptor Call Of The Shadows for DOS.

My favorite games...well, one favorite that stands above the rest is Team Fortress 2.

First game I ever remember playing was Mechwarrior 3. I remember it and the associated memories with it, rather vividly. I was relatively young (preschool), so all I wanted to do was stroll about in a max-engine Owens on a empty instant action map. It was quite fun, IIRC. I also remember some other things, like the AWESOME placard outside the local malls' game store for it, and remember some of the scenarios I imagined in game. Yes, I played imagination through the use of a game. Sue me. I do have even younger memories of Master of Orion 2 (I think), but I can't recall ever playing it. Just watching my dad play it, mesmerized by the multicolor display of the cosmos.

My favooorrriiite game? Dang, 'tis a hard one to come up with. I have decided on what the funniest game is, however. Barkley Shut Up And Jam Gaiden. There wasn't a single time I sat down to watch this game*

that I did not laugh. Heck, I think it's one of the funniest things I've ever watched. We <3 Katamari is up there in my favorites list*, as is City of Heroes*, M.U.G.E.N.*, Garrysmod, Mechwarrior: Living Legends, Starcraft*, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl*.

I don't remember what my first game was, although I have vague memories of messing around with an unknown RTS of some sort I had no idea how to use properly. My current favorite game is Amnesia The Dark Descent, although just barely. So hard to choose.

Hmmmm... the first "hardcore" games I remember playing were part of an old SEGA PC 4-pack that contained the second Sega Smash Pack, Sonic CD, Sonic R, and the Sonic and Knuckles Collection. However, there was a virtual pet thing called... Spot the Dog or something similar, that I also remember quite well, mainly because its soundtrack was The Entertainer, and I'm not sure whether I played that or a Sega 4-Pack game first.

As for my favorite... couldn't tell ya. I play too many to give an appraisal of every single one. tongue

My first game was probably Jet Set Willy on Amstrad CPC.

I currently have no favorite due to so little time to play.

My first game (the first I remember, that is) was Zool, which I played on my father's PC.

My favorite game... that's really nearly impossible to say. But as of now, I'd say Minecraft.

I'm not actually sure what my first game was. I have a feeling it was on the Gameboy Brick. Was it Tetris? Metroid II? A Crayon Shin Chan tie in game that was entirely in Moonspeak and thus almost entirely incomprehensible?

I couldn't even pick a favorite.
