I concur to Listmaker. RL section of should be cleaned like everything else. Otherwise the examples will just creep in the Horror Tropes and bungle the whole group up. Please reattach the section!

Since I'm fairly new to any big effort like this, I started with the top of the page and cleaning up the entries under advertisements. Not sure what to do with this entry. "Filipino PSAs could be both Nightmare Fuel and Narm. On one occasion, that ad about bottled [LPG] gas safety depicting a rusty LPG gas named Brand X and warning "beware of dangerous LPG tanks!" But some are truly not to be watched at night, especially the AIDS ads. One example is that saint ad." I'm inclined to delete it, because it tells me very little, but it could be that if I was familiar with Filipino TV, it would be very meaningful. Any thoughts?

It's a Zero Context Example, so delete. I try to put those on the discussion page and let other people flesh it out.

The HONF pages for Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Abridged, and Rebuild Of Evangelion have been re-namespaced, de-wicked, and natter-killed...more may be needed, I only did the most aggressive examples.

Deleted following example from Fanfiction page (Hogwarts exposed entry. TW for child nudity):

• Kim being forced by her "friends" to strip, being called a baby when she doesn't want a male partner in her morning exercises (because he'd look up her shorts and his hands would be on her thighs), and generally told that if she doesn't become a nudist, the girls won't be her friends. Kim is eleven. And she cries about her treatment, but no one ever helps her. This is all sexual abuse and assault, and it is very creepy and triggering.
• Probably the worst part of all of this is that the author apparently sees nothing wrong with any of this, nor do his fans.
  • A bit of Fridge Horror as to what kind of fans a fic like that attracts.
• The worst part about Hogwarts Exposed is that all of the characters' sickening perversions are treated as absolutely righteous and good. Kim's fate especially is extremely disturbing; she at first comes off as a sweet, shy, nervous girl who needs a good friend to guide her through Hogwarts. Catlin, Jamie, and Emily take advantage of that need to force her into nudism–what they do to her at some points is indefensible sexual assault, such as stripping her clothes off her and forcing her to do exercises with the aforementioned boy. That's not the worst part–the worst part is that she is eventually brainwashed and abused into joining their side. Anyone who tries to help her is branded as a "prude", Obstructive Bureaucrat, or child abuser. Good luck not wanting to call in a Sikorsky MH-53 Pave Low to reduce Harry's daughters into tiny, tiny pieces. And let's not even get started on poor Ron...
  • Oh, Ron...Ohhhh, Ron. Ron eventually marries a woman who, as it turns out, has the same twisted ideals as Caitlin, Jamie, and Emily. Clearly uncomfortable with this, he begs her to put some clothes, but she (along with everyone else in the fanfic) accuses him of being a controlling, abusive husband. He is constantly being painted as an evil and abusive man, when actually, he is the victim in this! And then they have a son...and mommy teaches him to do the exact same thing she and Harry/Hermione's adopted daughters do. Ron tries to speak up on behalf of his son, tries to help, but as usual, he is faced with accusations of being abusive. So now all Ron can do is live in a home where he is abused by his wife, watching her subject their son to what is technically sexual abuse, and he can do nothing to stop it, nor will anyone help him.

Reasons for deletion:

• Not really scary (And more Squick than anything)
• Natter
• Did Not Do The Research (most facts are wrong)
• Unnecessary bashing of nudists

Changed all wicks and text on the Main Literature page. Started cleaning...

Nightmare Fuel Advertisement page is cleaned up.

Just had a visit to NightmareFuel.Fanfiction. Since Debt was reviewed and cut by the 5P, I took the liberty of killing the example section for that fic on the page with fire.

I may have to go through the other fics on the page in order to weed out the "good creepy" (the stuff that is worthy of remaining on there) from the "bad creepy" (the really squicky and godawful shit that needs to go) and to be honest, this is a task that I am really, really not looking forward to.

Guys it says that RL Nightmare Fuel "has been cut, and isn't coming back".

I'm... not sure I have the stomach to do the fanfic page. Someone is going to have to look at some of those examples to see if they violate the new content policies. I did remove some stuff that refers to items that were cut for good by Fast Eddie.

Requesting to unlock NightmareFuel.The Binding Of Isaac

Killed the Kanashii No Imi and Rectified Anonymity examples on NightmareFuel.Fanfiction, as well as two Evangelion Troll Fic examples before the former (why does the Troll Fic page still have links to these fics?). I'm not cutting the Celebrian example until it's been reviewed and voted on to not be coming back.

Troll Fic has been pinged for the 5P to review.

De-HONFed Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2, Dead Space, Dead Space 2, DEFCON, and Dragon Age. I also deleted Word Cruft and first-person natter.

I've hit my limit for now with that awful HONF page for The Elder Scrolls. A glorified troper tales, but if you delete all of that crap, you're left with nigh-Zero Context Examples! ARHG! I'm tagging someone in for that page.

ccoa: Thank you! This is the first time I've ever moved a page. It wasn't that hard to learn.

I really wanted to help, since I was supposed to be one of the ones to help clean up the pages originally. That was embarrassing. >.>

But I feel we've done the right thing by consolidating the namespace. The split between Accidental and High Octane Nightmare Fuel was always confusing to me. ANF was a good idea, but in practice, it was a different kind of nightmare: It was basically a license for some tropers to say, "This thing scared me, because it was in a context that wasn't originally scary!" Phew.

I got Portal, Prey, Prototype. And TheElderScrolls too.
