Fast Eddie is not entirely unreasonable. If you simply ask him you could probably find out easily enough and you might get the answer you want. He personally voted against Lotte No Omocha but didn't say it had to go. Nor has he stated outright that we have to judge rape more harshly than normal sex stuff even though he's said he thinks we should.

It's actually not a redirect, by the way; that was a pothole.

Digimon Savers needs flag-zapping; quick analysis doesn't suggest there is anything worth mentioning there.

After reading up on A Serbian Film, I think I would need to hear some reasoning from people who've seen the movie on why they think it should be restored before I could vote in it's favor.

The director claimed it's just showing how awful the Serbian government is so it's not meant to titillate, but you could all-too-easily question why he felt he had to include offscreen newborn porn to get that across.

Actually planning on watching it tonight. Yay. Will get back to you ASAP.

A little research turned up that there is a cut of the film without that particular scene.

However, the fact that the scene exists, and that the director felt it necessary for the story should probably be a point against it.

Just finished A Serbian Film. Gonna need some time to wrestle with this one. The cinematography, lighting, costuming, all that jazz say it's a horror film as does the content, but still (spoilered for sanity's sake) Milos winds up raping his son on film after forcibly being drugged. All that can be seen of the act as it appears onscreen is Milos thrusting at a small body covered in blankets. It is not until Vukmir removes the blankets that we realize what is happening. As the scene is nonexplicit and intended to shock, and to a lesser extent elicit sympathy for Milos it's in a gray area.

My verdict for my comrades:

As much as I hate to suggest watching it, this is one y'all will need to judge for yourself and not take my word for it. I was watching the cut version, which only implies the infamous "newborn porn" scene, and it was still a rough watch, for the obvious reasons as well as a little bit with some syringes towards the end.

Plus, if I suffered through this, you guys have to too.

Now if you will excuse me I have an appointment with my good friends Jack Daniels and Nat Sherman. ^note Actually, I prefer Bulleit to Jack, but that would kill the joke

I found a page that has screencaps and descriptions of the material that was cut from the film. I won't link it due to the images but will PM it at request. Be advised, though, it does contain graphic images.

Okay, I've had the (mis)fortune to watch A Serbian Film and... I'm leaning towards leaving it cut. Even if the actual act is offscreen, I just can't find myself being comfortable with having a page for a work that, among other despicable things, contains a scene where a grown man has sex with a newborn. I simply can't...

I was actually thinking of leaving it as a locked, example-less stub. While everything about it says that it's a horror film, that, and the other scene I mentioned under spoiler tags means it shouldn't be restored in full.

I am, however, open to negotiation in either direction.
