Not enough "prince".
Shouldn't be hard to find a King Arthur image.
This is about Princes not kings.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Read the description, not the title. It's about all royal figures.
Then this needs a repair shop
Yep. It was originally formulated as "Royals who kick ass", but then people only saw the Prince part of the title, and, well... yeah.
Motion to table IP discussion in lieu of a TRS thread
I agree.... this is also been discussed in the Badass thread too. (the female examples here go to Badass Princess which is going to be up for rename too and contrasted by Princess Classic type tropes as soon as their is room Action Princess was a suggested title.)
BTW Warrior Prince is more of a stock character not just Royals Who Kick Ass.
Can we just move this page to TRS?

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Moved and retitled.
Okay, the way I see it, this trope only refers to actual princes and maybe kings. The idea of a warrior prince is separate from the idea of a badass princess because the idea that lies at the core of Badass Princess is that princesses aren't really expected to be badass. Warrior Prince, on the other hand, is built on no such assumption. Quite the opposite, really.
I think we should transfer Badass Princess to Warrior Princess and give Warrior Prince a Trope Transplant to mean 'warrior prince', which is an actual trope, for princes who go out on adventures on behalf of their kingdom and the like. Royals Who Actually Do Something is predominantly used for combative/adventuring royalty anyway.
We're not just men of science, we're men of TROPE!What about Zuko? He could work.
I'm baaaaaaackPrince can be used in a generic format simply as "royal" as well as the specific formulation of "male child of a monarch." So a fighting king or a fighting emperor could be a Warrior Prince.
As far as the definition goes, "A royal warrior" is a good definition for Warrior Prince. Badass Princess could be a subtrope of it. Royals Who Actually Do Something is not the same as what the royals do is not necessarily war.
The term Warrior Prince also has the advantage of having a mildly poetic sound to it.

How did this get in TRS? O_O I'm moving it back to IP.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThe king arthur picture will do. There's plenty of other pictures equally evocative.
I don't suppose the prince of persia (Sands of time version) would work? Or are we going for a more western appeal?

Just a forgettable troper. What about Prince Charming◊ of Once Upon a Time?
I uploaded this image◊ from "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time". He's pretty much the Trope Codifier for video games, so he would be a good candidate.
Being the codifier / namer / great example doesn't matter much or at all. Please read Just A Face And A Caption and How To Pick A Good Image.
Not sure why thinking "good example = good image" is so common, it's not like there are tons of instances of that to get the idea from.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. How about Marth from Fire Emblem?

We would need a pic of Marth to judge.
What about Prince Edward◊? or Prince John◊?
The thorny bit would be whether it constitutes a spoiler. Yeah, it's from the last episode of the series, but he was always known to be that prince guy, so...

I have a message from another time...That Prince Edward picture is pretty good.
