This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking For An Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Maybe this one for Reality Ensues, this one from Doctor Who.
Dream Lord: Now then, the prognosis is this. If you die in the dream, you wake up in reality. Healthy recovery in next to no time. Ask me what happens if you die in reality?
Rory: What happens?
Dream Lord: You die, stupid. That's why it's called reality.
For Reality Ensues, I wonder if one of the parody film blurbs from Cracked would work. The best ones are probably these two:
"When washed-up ex-con Harry Stedman is brought in to manage a Little League team of misfits and outcasts, nobody thinks they'll get anywhere, which turns out to be a pretty reasonable assumption. They lose every game of the season, becoming more and more demoralized as teammates quit one by one and Stedman relapses into alcoholism."
"Terence Barnes had everything: a perfect job, a lovely wife and two happy, healthy children. When they are brutally murdered, as families often are, Barnes refuses to rest until he has gone to the police, given a statement and fully cooperated with police and prosecutors.
In an unexpected twist ending, the murderers are caught and convicted, due to an overwhelming amount of evidence."
Check out my fanfiction!I kinda like the Dr. Who one better, though in part that may be because of a bit of Hype Backlash about Cracked, given how everyone and their brother seems to quote it like it were Holy Writ.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpThe quote from Stalking is Love disregards the Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgment in being something popular that only vaguely resembles an unfortunate trope.

I vote the Doctor Who quote for Reality Ensues (shorter and more to the point than Cracked), and pull on the Stalking is Love quote. The Sorcerer's Apprentice quote might work for that:
Becky: Were you stalking me?
Dave: Not like, in a threatening way.

I honestly feel like those parody film blurbs do work better for Reality Ensues.
The quote on Covert Pervert makes no sense if you don't know the character. In fact, every quote I can find depends on knowing the source material. I'm going to suggest cutting the current quote and not replacing it.
I think the Covert Pervert rather clearly states it's from someone you wouldn't expect it. Not the best quotation, perhaps, but it brings up the uncharacteristic part of the trope.
For Reality Ensues, I think the Doctor Who one is more Captain Obvious. People dying if they're killed is kind of standard, fiction or not. It doesn't do a good job of using the trope in a descriptive manner.
Check out my fanfiction!Re: Covert Pervert, the quote doesn't make it obvious that it's from someone you wouldn't expect it from. It could just as easily read as "Oh, you're the obvious source." Once you remove the potholes, which shouldn't be there, there are no contextual clues to tell you which way it's meant.
The Covert Pervert quote reads like sarcasm to me.
On Stalking is Love, I also support the suggestion from The Sorceror's Apprentice.
Love Hungry / Cute and Psycho never got resolved. I don't think Galadriel's quote fits Love Hungry and I don't think Fluttershy's quote fits Cute and Psycho... and if it is left on Love Hungry it should be pruned of unnecessary potholes and punctuation marks.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableCovert Pervert: Keep Until Better Quote Suggested.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI thought that policy was explicitly in favor of no quote over a bad one. Or is that just with images?
I've always heard of that (no pic better than a bad one) policy in the context of images, although we've been walking away from it a bit. Dunno about quotes; I think the Covert Pervert quote is good enough to stay but a replacement would be ideal.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMy view, as I've mentioned, is that all the quotes I've found for Covert Pervert don't work if you don't know the character. The quote currently up can be read as an example of the trope, or of its opposite.
Love Hungry: I removed the LOTR quote (not even moved to sub-page as the consensus here suggests it doesn't fit the trope). I removed the potholes as well from the MLF quote.
Cute and Psycho — I agree that the quote doesn't fit. I'll remove it.
Undeath Always Ends has two quotes.
The first, while fitting, is apparently a spoiler (even though I think the idea that "the Big Bad in a video game dies" isn't really a spoiler). The second isn't indicative at all, as nothing about the quote or even the name indicates he's undead.
I say either unspoil the first, or cut them both.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. For all I can tell, either of those could be the last words of someone who is dying normally. Cut them both.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableMoved them both to the quotes tab.
I've brought up Rugby Union before, but I didn't get enough responses. It has three quotes, and I need help deciding which one should stay. I'd say the Cracked one is the best. The first one is a little outdated and suffers from We All Live in America (rugby as an upper class sport is a disappearing idea and didn't exist in the first place in some countries), and the third is excessively long and not to the point.

A genius, a philosopher, an abstract thinkerYes, I like that one as well.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDark City has two quotes, both taglines from the film. I like the 'alternate tagline'. It has more of the 'I have to know more' feel.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI like the alternate tagline more.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe Scylla and Charybdis quote doesn't say 'Trope!' to me. (I'm not even sure what it's about.) And I seem to have noticed that quotes that just namedrop the quote aren't generally encouraged.
There's no quotes page, so I went Googling: "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody." Bill Cosby
"The greatest conflicts are not between two people but between one person and himself." Garth Brooks
“An unhappy alternative is before you, Elizabeth. From this day you must be a stranger to one of your parents. Your mother will never see you again if you do not marry Mr. Collins, and I will never see you again if you do.” ― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
"You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage — pleasantly, smilingly, nonapologetically — to say 'no' to other things. And the way you do that is by having a bigger 'yes' burning inside." Stephen Covey
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettScylla and Charybdis: The Cosby quote is already on Unpleasable Fanbase. The others seem more about priorities than mutually exclusive things.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
Reality Ensues: Ditch 'em both.
