This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Censor Box: Two quotes. The first works pretty well, but the second doesn't really do much without some kind of description of what they're doing when they say they're "censoring real life."
I say yank the second.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Since it seemed to be the most popular, Awesome Music/Music was changed to the Jimi Hendrix quote.
Also, .That second quote just makes no sense in that context.

My alignment is Chaotic Cute.Agree on keeping the first quote on Censor Box. The second just sounds like it's about general censorship, not the box.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Pick the first Censor Box quote, the second is too long and unclear.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDitto to keeping the first quote for Censor Box.
I don't like Sequel Difficulty Spike's quote. It sounds like generic complaining rather than actual difficulty.
Give it the chainsaw.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Nuke it.
I nuked it.
Just launched Sparse List of Rules and I'm wondering if anyone thinks the Star Wars one I added to the quotes tab is better than the Discworld one. It's not as funny, but it also better demonstrates a list with gaps in it.
I don't think either of them are very good (as it's impossible to convey whether or not we see the rest of the list in the actual work), but of the two, a truncated version (using only the first 3 orders) of the Star Wars one would be best.

Ok, I'll do that, then.
I just removed the superfluous Memetic Mutation quote that was on Command & Conquer Economy. It only repeated the name of a different trope.
Agree with that removal.
Mind Hive's quote, while good, is also too long, at least vertically. We could trim it down a little, or we could use another quote that could work without the dialogue format. This one comes to mind:
"We are many; you are but one." — Ermac, Mortal Kombat 9
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I don't think that's a good quote, because it's not clear that it's a mind hive unless you're familiar with the work. (Or, I at least assume you're proposing it because they're a mind hive...)
I think we could trim the current quote to:
Shepard: What is the individual in front of me called?
Legion: There is no "individual". We are geth. There are currently 1,183 programs active within this platform.

That's a good suggestion.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThat's good.
The quote on Questionable Content is not at all relevant.
Kill it.
Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Agree with deleting the first and third and keeping the second until/unless a better quote is found.
