This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

...Did Archimedes actually say that?
That being said, the suggestion is a much more suitable quote for Mother Nature, Father Science. Changed.

Almost certainly he did not. (If you want to append a note about that to the quote, go ahead.)
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)House of Cards (US) currently has two page quotes. I've never seen the show, so I wouldn't know which one fits the best.
I'd go with the first one, on general principle (opening quotes are just better).
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I don't think the new quote on Mother Nature, Father Science is very good, but it is an improvement over the previous quote.
You Didn't Ask hasn't been changed yet.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. How's this quote for The Maiden Name Debate?
That kinda seems like reverse of the trope. Someone super excited about taking her husband's name, instead of reluctant.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.I have a page quote suggestion for Rebuilt Pedestal.

Lampshade Hanging and Leaning on the Fourth Wall almost have the same quote.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!Do we have a trope for that? A teenage girl scribbling her "married name" hundreds of times is a cliché that goes at least back to Wuthering Heights.
That one doesn't have a quote yet, so it's fair game. Good suggestion.
The existing quote is better for Leaning on the Fourth Wall, I think. We should spend some time to find a really good one for Lampshade Hanging, it's such a fundamental trope. There's this one from the Quotes page:
"If, reader, you are slow now to believe what I shall tell, that is no cause for wonder for I who saw it hardly can accept it."
—Dante, The Divine Comedy
...oh yeah, the thing I came here for.
The quote on Armor Is Useless isn't really about the trope. In context, saying "people in armour tend to die" is merely pointing out that people only wear armour when they're at war, not that armour makes people more likely to die.
Seconding your ideas for Leaning on the Fourth Wall and Lampshade Hanging.
Agreed. And looking at the quotes page, there's several there which don't fit the trope either. Maybe one of the Star Wars-related quotes?
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. One of those could be trimmed to the following, but it's perhaps a little complain-y (and uncited, if we care about that sort of thing):
— Guy Windsor, historical fencing instructor
So, do we only remove quotes if we have something to replace it with?
From Not Hyperbole. Where's the exaggeration that's turned literal, in this? A promise of violence is not an exaggeration, while an "I will never forgive you!", would be an exaggeration of someone's feelings...
Corky: [laughing] Okay.
Murphy: No, understand this. It's not just an idle threat or colorful exaggeration. I know people. It would happen. It could be fast or painful and lingering. Water, cement, without a trace or well placed bits and pieces. All my choice.
Corky: [unsettled] I understand.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576That's a tricky one, because out-of-context it certainly sounds like an actual literal death threat, but in context we know that it's really just more hyperbole. I'd remove it, personally.
So, anyone against removal?

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportThe page quote for One-Person Birthday Party is quite the extensive dialogue. Does anyone have an idea on how to pare it down, or a shorter alternative?
I think the first four lines of it are descriptive enough
OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!Sexual Euphemism is now taking over for This And That. Is the latter's page quote good for the former?
Who offered to do "this or that."
When speaking of "this,"
She meant more than a kiss,
So imagine her meaning of "that!"

Was this done by the users here or not?
