This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Axed the Gas C Hamber quote.
Here's another: Drinking Contest. Two quotes, the first one is good, and the second doesn't seem to have anything to do with contests at all. Cut the second one?

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBecause of the phrasings, I suspect that the one on Saved by Canon is the actual quote; the Doomed by Canon one reads like a paraphrase of the other. So I would simply remove it from Doomed by Canon.
Also agreed to go with the first quote only for Drinking Game.
The second one I'd say is an easy pull, as there's no indication that Kenan and Kel are heroes.
The first, while indicative, is not comprehensive of the entire trope. The trope is bad publicity in general, not just media manipulation to have bad publicity. This may not be an issue, but I'm not sure what our standards are for quotes that only show a part of the trope.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.Pick the Spider Man quote from Quotes/. It gets straight to the point.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think either the first quote or the Spiderman quote would work.
I just kinda assumed that a a Spider-Man quote would be at the top of that page. He's practically the poster boy for the the trope.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.He is the posterboy; just look at the image. And for that reason, I kinda prefer a non-Spider Man quotation.
Check out my fanfiction!I kinda feel the same way. Having the quote and image from the same source feels like overkill.
It's also already used on Twisting the Words, for what it's worth.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Can I ask for new quotes for pages that don't have any here?
Because Hijacking Cthulhu doesn't have a quote. .. or a picture... or anything besides examples and a description.
Yes, but it's kinda preferred to have a candidate.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThree votes for Spiderman, two against... For now, I'll remove the bottom quote.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.Removing the quote from Doomed by Canon.
A genius, a philosopher, an abstract thinkerLightning Gun has two quotes. I tend to think the first is more to-the-point (no mention of shurikens, let alone tits), but I thought I'd toss it out for a second opinion.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. What is "tits"?
Pick the shorter.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanTits. Boobs. What Cleavage Windows show. The longer of the two quotes mentions them, and shurikens, which is part of what makes it unnecessarily long. I'll move it to the tab.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Try Everything currently has three page quotes. Clearly that isn't acceptable. I'm not sure if the second or third one is better. The third one is more straightforward, but the second is a good lampshading. Opinions?
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Three. I don't care for 2.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSince this is a subtrope of Trial-and-Error Gameplay, we should probably have a quote that is in some way connected to gaming. 2 works better than 3 in that regard. (There's also a quote from Portal that is very similar to 3, which would also work better.)
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableSince the description is not about games, I disagree with that course of action unless someone can explain to me why that should be game-specific.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanErr, the description is all about games. So are the examples. The central idea is of the audience being stymied in their attempts to interact with an interactive medium, which effectively limits the examples to not only games but video games in particular.
The only things that do not suggest a limitation to games are the title and the quotes, the latter of which are currently under discussion for fixing.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI agree with Sep. 3.
Check out my fanfiction!2 > 3, but just barely.

I stand by what I said earlier. Too many non-game examples and hints in the description are weak.

Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Yeah. Though the one on the former looks neater. Move it to the latter? Or which one is actually correct?
