How are you sure that Carnage is stronger than Mercer? Mercer can easily throw cars.
The Sentry ripping Carnage in half is important because he actively uses little of his power, and we don't know how much of his strength he was using. It might have been Mercer-level strength.
I'm not too sure about the full rules of Death Battle, but going by Link vs. Cloud, I'm pretty sure that no outside help is allowed. The military responding to their presence wouldn't exactly help either fighter, as they would both be bombarded with the same priority.
And there's no reason why Mercer would disguise, anyway. He'd simply go straight for the kill.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Even Spider-Man can pick up cars, so that's nothing special. I once saw one picture of Carnage using his tentacles to pick up a passenger jet - I think it was in DK publishing's Official Guide to the Spider-Man Universe (not the actual title). Regardless, Alex cannot lift an operational M1 Abrams tank, only the burnt out shell of one. An M1 Abrams weighs about 62 tons. According to the official guidebook to the Marvel Universe, Carnage can lift somewhere between 80 and 90 tons. Ergo, Carnage is stronger than ZEUS.
The military would count as "help" in the sense that Mercer could eat them and regenerate, whereas while Cletus may very well eat them he would gain no benefits from doing so. And yeah, the rules state that:
- Combatants possess knowledge of each other only if such is canon to each fighter's universe.
- The battles must end with a death, for fairness. Personality restraints from killing the opponent are removed.
- All other character traits, tactics, and attributes are not removed and are attempted to be represented faithfully.
- Research used is determined equally unless otherwise specified. e.g. If non-canon sources are used for a combatant the same is done for the other.
Not getting outside help is an unwritten rule that was established in the Vegeta vs. Shadow fight.

There is a difference in strength levels between "picking up a car" and "throwing a car." Mercer not being able to throw a healthy tank is merely game mechanics, as a blown-up Abrams shouldn't be much lighter than an operational one. And who said that the military would show up in person? There is a reason why BVR combat is dominating military tactics.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.I doubt there can be even bystanders in the fight, let alone extra combatants. So no quick snacks for Mercer or calls for artillery.
The only exception is for space ducks.

#IceBearForPresidentAnd what of the others killed in the Beiber vs. Black episode? Certainly Black's car-driving friend counts as "outside help" despite being completely counterproductive, and there were bystanders who were killed as a result (the Jonas Brothers, and Miley Cyrus, who technically wasn't a bystander but died anyway).
I haven't watched it (and don't care enough to do so) but I think the extra deaths in Bieber vs Black was due to the ...slight bias against all involved.
That will likely be the last time such a thing happens.
One Strip! One Strip! And I thought that was a parody episode.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?True, but the mass of the tank all depends on how much of it is left intact. Going by the size of the explosion that occurs when you smash one up and how easily it breaks into pieces when thrown, I wouldn't say there was much left of the tanks once Alex is through with them.
As for lifting and throwing, Ultimate Venom can lift around 25 tons and can shot-put trucks like nobody's business, and both Alex and Cletus outclass him in terms of physical power. Both of them should be able to Car Fu tanks with the best of them. The difference is Carnage's max carrying capacity is around 90 tons (although as with Venom his physical prowess varies significantly) whereas Alex has no strength limits that are specified in-game, just that by the end of [Prototype 2] he was stronger than Elizabeth Greene but weaker than James Heller. As for the military intervening, I think it's unlikely as the matches thus far have been one-on-one duels or battle royales. As I said before, Carnage is completely immune to gunfire, but Alex can take a lot of damage from gunfire and had his head blown to pieces by a shotgun (I think) at one point.

Makes sense. Though it may not be the last time if they decide to do so against other targets (let's say, Tingle vs. Scrappy-Doo?).
Blasphemy. Everyone knows that every Death Battle is the gospel truth and should be taken 100% seriously about 120% of the time (for the time that is physically impossible for you to actually have, just try to match that figure in coolness or something).

I guess it'd go something like this:
Announcer: FIGHT!
Scrappy Doo: "Lemme at 'im! I'll splat him!"
Tingle: "Tingle, Tingle, Kooloo-Limpah!" *shoots confetti at Scrappy*
Scrappy: "Ta dadada ta daaa! Puppy power!" *runs at Tingle*
Ganondorf: "GRAH!" *obliterates both of them*
Announcer: KO!
On a more serious note, would the Dovahkiin be able to defeat Eragon (Saphira tag-team optional)?

Maybe I'm just being obtuse, but my impulse is that Batman takes the win, since even if he doesn't have a dossier on Spider-Man, (which he should, given that they've crossed over a number of times,) he can drag out a fight and keep his distance without throwing his position. Plus, he didn't get the World's Greatest Detective title out of a claw machine.
Enough of that, how about The Doctor vs Mr. Fantastic?
My webzone.I wouldn't mind a Fred vs. The Annoying Orange Death Battle. They are both intentionally irritating Internet celebrities who found their way on the major children's networks. I could be something of a joke battle like Bieber vs. Black, and who knows, they could even get the real guys behind them involved for voice work!
An open mind and compassionate heart are among the most important qualities we can have. That would be interesting; the guy who does the Annoying Orange shorts is actually pretty good at cheap effects, if you check out his other stuff.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatThe Knife would win, hands down.

Batman vs Spiderman.....
The obvious winner is Spiderman, when you think about it, it's Batman, when you think further, it's Spidey....
To close to call. Nice pick for a fight if anything.
It's definitely Spidey. Pete is as smart as Batman, and while Strength isn't always a deciding factor, His speed and Spider-Sense would be too much for the Bat to handle.
He can dodge anything Bruce tosses at him, and even if it's an exploding batarang, Spidey would sense it.
He can use his webbing to gum up anything Batman has.
Bats would exhaust his arsenal dealing with everything Peter is capable of...
...in theory... Despite being firmly in the Spiderman camp, I can't help but think there's something I'm forgetting that might give bats a good chance, even a clear victory.
And I promise. It's not just because he's Batman.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, if Peter runs out of web cartridges he's SOL in the ranged department, although he keeps spares in his own Utility Belt. Yeah, I'd have to say that Spider-Man takes this, with his "Thou shalt not kill" inhibitions removed he would be a fair bit more dangerous than Batman. Even with that inhibition, push him too far and he'll put on his Black Suit, shut up, and put the "spider" in Spider-Man. Looking at incarnations of him that have lost that inhibition, like the one seen in What If? Spider-Man versus Wolverine - where he became a cold-hearted Knight Templar rivalling The Punisher in ruthlessness; and in What If? Back In Black - where he Curb Stomp Battled everyone standing between him and Kingpin - it's safe to say that Bruce wouldn't stand a chance against Peter. Although, one must ask, would removing Bruce's aversion to killing remove his aversion to using a gun?
On a related note... it's out for advantage members. Anyone here watch it yet?

Damn it! The one time I didn't want something spoiled ends up getting spoiled anyway because the damn video stops three seconds into the Spider-Man analysis and then when I start searching for a way to fix it, I see a description of the final blow! FFFFFFFFFFFFFU-
EDIT: Finally got to see it. Definitely my favorite Death Battle to date.

That's if Mercer can rip Cletus in half - the original symbiote was bonded to his bloodstream and emerged when he was injured in his human form. Seeing how the symbiote he found in the Negative Zone has ditched Kasady a few times this may not the case for it, although Venom hinted that the second Carnage symbiote combined with the remnants of the first Carnage symbiote. Regardless, as Carnage Cletus is far stronger than Alex is. As for the Sentry, Robert Reynolds is a Physical God who can Curb-Stomp Battle the Hulk if his Superpowered Evil Side takes over, so you can't really compare Mercer to him. Military intervention would count as outside interference, and I doubt Alex will be getting any snacks as that would count as outside interference as well. Furthermore, even if civilians were allowed to be present, Mercer's disguise abilities wouldn't help him seeing how Carnage is an Omnicidal Maniac who would just butcher the crowd wholesale regardless of whether his enemy was present or not.
I compiled a list of facts and feats for Mercer and Kasady. If anyone wants to double-check or add anything, feel free.
Alex Mercer
