I've nuked a lot of the wicks on Main.Chrono Trigger over the past two days. It's down to just over 400. If anyone would like to help me finish, I would be quite grateful

And Chrono Trigger is done. Also did Legend of Legaia last week.

I need help moving El Goonish Shive. I've managed to cut it down from ~1300 to ~960, but I don't really have the motivation to do that much.

Just discovered this project today. For the past couple of weeks I've been doing this kind of thing on my own with the NCIS and Criminal Minds wicks. Glad that there's actually an offical project.

I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.

JustForFun.Dick Whittington seems to be a hybrid between a works page and a Useful Notes page. There seems to be no special reason why it is in the Just for Fun/ namespace. Is it okay to move it to Literature.Dick Whittington And His Cat? For that is the proper name of the fairy tale usually associated with Dick Whittington.

Here's some shows I recently moved to the Series/ namespace and will become my projects as soon as I finish Criminal Minds and NCIS. If anyone wants to get a head start on them, it'll be appreciated:

• Oz (319 wicks)
• Without A Trace (122 wicks)
• Profiler (19 wicks)
• The West Wing (958 wicks)
• Castle (722 wicks)
• Cold Case (276 wicks)

On a related note, I wonder if we can get extra help by putting this wick migration project in the wiki headlines? We would get a lot more help on this.

EDIT: Farscape slipped back over 100 wicks if anyone wants to whack those.

In general, the new guidelines mean that when linking to a work, one should always use the Namespace/WorkName format, right? It seems to me that this should be put in a more prominent place, as this thread was the first I heard of it.

(Sorry if this is the wrong place to take this concern.)

Now going by plain old "Silverfire".

It should be Namespace/WorkName, which hides the namespacing from view while preserving the link to the proper namespace.

El Goonish Shive is now done. I've already started on Gunnerkrigg Court.

I just finished moving Extra Credits' wicks, and it has what I think is a ghost wick in Dethroning Moment of Suck, how do you fix that?

I've moved Dark Cloud to Video Game/. All 200 wicks are also done.

Finished Without a Trace, excepting one ghost wick and one that's on a locked page.

To fix ghost wicks, make a null edit to the page, then cutlist it and explain it's a ghost wick. I fixed the one you brought up.

Thanks, although I have no earthly idea how I'm supposed to know this without being told.

There should be a bit of focused effort on the animated movies that were misplaced into the Film/ namespace, if only to stump further erronous migration in the future. I think I'll be doing some Pixar titles, as they garner lots of attention.

I've a bit of a doubt about Brave; should its namespace be Disney/ or WesternAnimation/?

What about adding something like this to Wick Namespace Migration?

What to do about ghost wicks

Ghost wicks are wicks to an article on a page that doesn't exist, such as Nonexistant Example Page. The pages show up on something's "Related To..." list, but don't have anything on them When you encounter one:

1. Make a null edit to the page by opening the edit window and then saving it without doing anything. If you want, you can leave an edit reason like "Creating page to clear ghost wick."
2. Put the page on the cutlist with a reason similar to "ghost wick".
3. When the page is properly cut, the haunt of the ghost wick has been destroyed and the wick is gone.
