...what form would it take? What locale and when? Single or two-parter?

I want to write a two-part episode that is full-on Space Opera, given an appropriate SFX budget. Space battles and all.

I'd also like to write a low-key horror episode involving an insane AI and an abandoned scientific base.

With cannon shot and gun blast smash the alien. With laser beam and searing plasma scatter the alien to the stars.

An alternate POV episode of Earth's invasions between 1851 *

and 2009 from a long-lived creature. I don't know why, it just came to me. I think it's because of how much I loved Turn Left.

If I had the chance to write a story arc, I would introduce a companion-gone-wrong villain who is trying to fight monsters but becomes evil in the process. He's symbolic of how humans are just as monsterous as the rest of the galaxy.

I would also redesign to Cybermen while I'm at it to make them more Terminatorish but still want brains.

The McGuffin would be a device that possible could defeat the Daleks one and for all-for a price.

My episode would begin with three random people waking up in the TARDIS. As they explore its corridors and wonder why they are here, they come across holograms of the Doctor, Rory, and Amy that recorded what happened to them and why they aren't there. The whole thing is an Ontological Mystery.

Four plot ideas:

1) An episode featuring an Historical Villain Upgrade for Ungern Sternberg (he's got an article here, but I don't know how to Wiki Word it, since it has a hyphen). Ideally, making him a superpowered alien abomination. This has to happen.

2) Niccolo Machiavelli joins the TARDIS crew for a few episodes as a Companion. I think he'd make a good foil for the Doctor.

3) Have that guy who was a Companion for one episode during the Ninth Doctor's run return as a vengeful baddie. Just 'cause.

4) A Lawyer-Friendly Cameo Massive Multiplayer Crossover arc featuring thinly-disguised versions of other famous SF characters, such as Picard, Han Solo, and Mal Reynolds.

1) The Doctor returns to 22nd(I'm SURE that's when it was) Century Earth to meet up with Susan and see how the Rebellion is faring against the Daleks. Only to find that the Daleks and humans have reached an understanding and now live in harmony.

The Doctor is -just like in Victory of the Daleks- very suspicious. And his suspicions are only raised when he witnesses a Dalek killing a milkman.

The Doctor goes after this lone Dalek and finds an underground meeting of them. He spies on them and they confirm that the Daleks living amongst the humans really are traitors. They capture the Doctor and it's only thanks a group of humans and Daleks working together that the Doctor is saved.

He bids his granddaughter goodbye and leaves, happy in the knowledge that there is at least ONE group of friendly Daleks.

2) A Now For Some One Completly Different episode staring Absolm Daak; Dalek Hunter.

3) An episode where the Doctor picks up Sherlock Holmes as a companion, either the Doyle version or the Moffat version.

4) An episode where the TARDIS materializes on the Enterprise.

Or

5) An episode where the Doctor goes very far into the future and meets Judge Dredd.

[up] You totally stole my idea! I'd love to have the Fifth Doctor have a multipart adventure where he visits the crews of the NX-01, NCC-1701, and the 1701-D Enterprises. I don't know what the big cause would be, other than it would be COOL!

It seems blase to make it a Daleks trying to team up with the Borg type thing, or that Q is really an uber-advanced Master.

Your idea about FRIENDLY DALEKS is AMAZING.

It was an honor

Well thank you very much. I did hear there were talks of a Doctor Who/Star Trek crossover, but it all fell through!

Here's an idea; A companion betrays and tries to kill the Doctor and then flees deep into the TARDIS. The Doctor and his companions split up to find him/her. Giving us a chance to actually explore the depths of the TARDIS.

[up] Gaiman's episode was supposed to do that, but was hit by budgetary restrictions.

I forget if it was the first of second of the new seasons, but there was the one where they made a female clone of the Doctor - what happened to her? I'd have an episode with her finding that partial Tardis that was built in Gaiman's episode, and have her fix it up completely ... before vanishing into parts unknown. Then have the Doctor find evidence that oh hey, for once he's really not alone, even if the other Doctor might be his Evil Twin.

A Tenth Doctor story set after the events of The Waters of Mars but before The End of Time. Hoping to find a tropical getaway, the Doctor instead accidentally lands on a seemingly uninhabited island occupied only by a sprawling, dilapidated castle. Upon exploring it, he meets a young man who calls himself the Prince and claims to be on the run from a monstrous guardian of time. The two explore the ruins together, meet the Island's so-called Empress of Time, encounter the Dahaka, and learn a thing or two about facing the things we choose to run from.

I'm honestly thinking about doing that up as a webcomic...

I had a couple ideas floating around, but the most formed one would be about a guy who is time locked inside a "Groundhog Day" Loop when he gets caught in the Tardis' wake, and the Doctor has to help him out, but realizes because he's time locked, he can't do anything and has to leave him there. Maybe feed a couple of plotbunnies that involve the Chameleon Arc to go undercover in some sort of asylum or prison to do snoop work, or using it to give himself a mental holiday, but inadvertently creating a Time Lord persona who is much more proactive with his protection of Earth.

Other than that, a couple of quick questions about using a Polaroid of a Weeping Angel as quick and dirty time travel ala Bus Ticket, and what would happen if the Doctor got bisected in such a way that both parts started regenerating, and I think I would be happy.

EDIT: And a Top Gear crossover where they help to build a CARDIS.

Something involving Ludwig II of Bavaria. He's a fascinating historical figure, quite eccentric, would mix well with the kookiness of Doctor Who.

Don't know what kind of a sci-fi element I'd introduce to it, though.

I have this vision of the Doctor's interference changing the history so that one of the murals in Neuschwanstein depicts the TARDIS, and then the guide giving the tour to some tourists (holy shit I just realized where the word 'tourist' comes from) is like "Yeah, this mural shows the story of Percival finding the Holy Grail but nobody knows what's up with that blue box in the background, weird huh".

Too obvious. I would have the Doctor's suspicions be wrong but he's too overzealous and can't accept that there is good in the Daleks. In his rage, he strikes out against the Daleks and causes a war.

At this point the humans and Daleks are nearly evenly matched and itt erupts into a massive century spanning war.

And it's all the Doctor's fault.

[up]Have Susan angrily call him out, point out how much he's changed, and accuse him of having become a monster just like those he fights.

A later episode could be about the Doctor trying to make amends for his past mistakes.

After going to a planet with a living atmosphere, the Doctor and companions need to stay in TARDIS Decon for 12 hours to make sure they can adjust back to Earth's atmosphere. Thing is, only one person per room, and you can just make out what the person adjacent to you is saying, so the one in the middle is an intermediary, or someone on the edge is left out. Put Rory in the middle, and I think you have a story.

"Only an Armful" The Doctor is last of the Time Lords, but not the last Gallireyan. Qalgar was a Sergeant during the War, he is a Time Peasant. Qalgar captures Doctor, lectures him about Time-Lord arrogance and sucks out a pint of Timey-whimey ball to power Qalgar's Tardis. Also, there is a squad of Daleks who have been chasing Qalgar ever since the War.

as a Faction Paradox fan I'd like to see a story arc like that on Doctor Who

I'd like to see Romana come back at some point

whenever I think about writing a Doctor Who story, it ends up more like Sapphire And Steel

Well, I these aren't really episode ideas so much as small 2-minute gags that I think would be interesting:

1) Amy asks The Doctor what his birthday is 2) Someone paints the TARDIS pink when they land on April 1st (Can you imagine his face?) 3) The TARDIS materializes at the bottom of the Atlantic, and one unlucky companion gets a face full of saltwater when they open the door. (The Doctor of course "forgot" to turn on the shield. Woopsies! I'm sure whoever-it-is will be fine, the Doctor has pretty quick reflexes, and the TARDIS must have some sort of failsafe...)

Not exactly a doctor who episode but i would write a miniseries spin off featuring Jenny, Vastra, Sherlock,Watson,Jago and Litefoot attempting To thwart a cult of sea devils from summoning dagon in an overly complicated plot to wipe out human life.

Lets not do the timewarp again
