This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here
instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.

I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

Hi. I've edited the YKTTW for Reality Has No Subtitles and I've launched. However, it is locked. Can someone unlock it, please?

While perusing the Playing With pages via the associated index, I happened upon a link to Everybody Remembers The Stripper, which is currently a redirect to Best Known For The Fanservice, which in turn is inexplicably locked. A quick trip through the Wayback Machine (http://web.archive.org/web/*/https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/PlayingWith/EverybodyRemembersTheStripper) reveals that the old Playing With page had some content which was deleted entirely when the trope was renamed. Unless there's some sort of actual reason why Best Known For The Fanservice has been locked (it appears on neither the Locked Pages list nor the Permanent Red Link Club list), it seems that we could readily retrieve the content from the deleted Playing With entry and conform it to the current format.
What happened is that someone I think cutlisted the new Playing With page because of "Audience Reactions can't be played with".
Except that In-Universe examples can play with these - might be a topic for Wiki Talk.

Can I ask what was originally on the Webcomics Multiverses page before it was apparently cut/locked? (I'm not necessarily asking for an unlocking, I just want to know what was there before making any judgment over whether it would be useful to have.)

I would like to unlock Moral Guardians. I previously argued for the continued existence of its Real Life section, which is still in need of drastic cleanup. The page was locked almost a year ago, apparently because of a petty Edit War started by tropers complaining about wiki policy they didn't like.

Could the Main Page for Air Gear be unlocked. I don't know how long it's been locked or why, but it currently doesn't exist and I can't create a new one. It doesn't really matter as all that would go on it is a redirect to the series' Manga page, but not having a main page makes posting links to the series on trope pages rather annoying
It's locked because it's not needed. Work pages go in namespaces; redirects invite lazy wicking.

And policy is no new Mainspace redirects to works.
Can YMMV.Alice be unlocked? I have moved a works page at Film.Alice and there are YMMV items to put there.

You want to create it at this page: Chevy Chase, which isn't locked. Chevy Chase is, but that's the wrong namespace for creator pages anyway.
Could the Main page for Dm C: Devil May Cry be unlocked? There's a little problem with two (well, technically three,) tropes accidentally ending up under the same bullet ("Maybe Ever After" and "Mini-boss/Boss In Mook Clothing," if you want to check,) and I just want to fix it.

Considering that the debate on Turbo being a Complete Monster has just about ended-he's been deemed a "no" a couple times already- would it be possible to unlock YMMV.Wreck It Ralph, with a note specifically stating not to add back Turbo?
