I want to bring up a YKTTW Deadly Mantis in here because it may be launched soon, despite not being a trope.
It's another "list every work that contains animal X" thing.
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.Eenie Meenie Miny Moai is, in my opinion, an EBW trope in disguise; its title is, if anything, even more confusing. I propose splitting it into two somewhat overlapping tropes:
- Easter Moailand: A place with numerous moai statues. The reason why is often a mystery, though in comedies their faces are often altered to resemble a familiar character.
- Mighty Moai: Living and/or weaponized moai.
Yeah, go ahead and split it.
We should start a project to fix/split/cut all pages that are titled "object and meaningless pun." They can all just as well be named "object," which is not a trope.
I think we should definitely continue to clean up the "List Of All <object> In Fiction Ever" pages, but the TRS may not be the best place for it. Does the ongoing projects subforum work?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Need to update the status list. Everythings Better With Chickens has been retitled as Clucking Funny.
This thread is now well into its third year... what shall we fix next?
How about Everythings Better With Chocolate? Any hint of a trope on that page?
I can see a couple of interpretations. "Everything tastes better with chocolate", or "Must Have Chocolate" (as in Must Have Caffeine). But as it stands it's basically "this work has chocolate in it".
We might split off a Useful Notes for chocolate itself, though.
The description of Everythings Better With Chocolate just makes me think of Chocolate Overload, actually. Or Mad For Cocoa... or Obsessed With Chocolate Disorder.
And whoever wrote it was probably an example of all of those, but the page's entries aren't examples of anything. I'd love to send this back to YKTTW.
I agree that most of the examples aren't "chocolate is added for no other reason than chocolate is awesome."
So Everythings Better With Chocolate is now the trope under issue. Looking at the description and examples, it looks like nothing more than Chocolate. I would propose to just cut it and possibly redirect to Garnishing the Story.

Much as I enjoy chocolate, I can't argue with that. C Oncur.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!OK. Shall I ask for a "cut" crowner on that?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDo we have a trope for Chocolate Addiction, or Chocolate Is The Tastiest Thing In The World, or All Women Love Chocolate? I'd say there are several examples of each of those in there.
Not as far as I know.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBumping this to get an opinion on my question 3 posts above.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBumping, since there is a crowner now.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think a disambiguation page would be best for EBwC.
I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful. We do have a new trope, Chocolate of Romance, to cover the romance aspect of Everythings Better With Chocolate.

Honestly, I think every "Everything's Better With X" trope would have a title just as descriptive if it was just "X".
Everythings Cuter With Lucky Charms discussion here.
The leading option has 12 yeas and 1 nay, and other option has 2 yeas and 4 nays. Is that enough to call or do we need to wait longer?
Macron's notesHow does a YKTTW for the "must have chocolate" examples under Cuckoo For Cocoa sound?
Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
Chicken For Funny.
That said, the question here is whether we are still making these multi-page rename crowners from Summer 2012.
