Writing is a free action. Talking takes a full turn per word.
Writing a novella during a 10-second countdown? Oh yeah, well I played a campaign once where one of the PC's was executed via a firing squad. He managed to write and edit a three-act play in the seconds between the sergeant calling "Fire!" and the bullets hitting him.

It's funny — we never do see anyone retrieving Artoo, but there's a significant jump between capturing the bunker and the charges being detonated. So it's implied that someone took care of him.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I imagine they moved him while Han was changing into the imperial uniform. You'll notice R2's not there when the "reinforcements" charge out the door.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youSo I'm guessing that it isn't a Heroic Sacrifice (EDIT: On Palpy's part) after all... More like Vader is about to correct a Miscarriage Of Justice with sheer Heroic Willpower. Or, perhaps, The Power of Love? If the latter, let's hope that Love Redeems somehow...
Edited to include Link to comic starting the arc. Yeah, either Ben was fooled too or he had us fooled.

I wonder if this whole possession subplot will be the reason Luke goes into exile (setting the stage for The Force Awakens).
Wait, so does that mean that The First Order might become a Knight Templar organisation that's Right for the Wrong Reasons and has some sort of The Atoner philosophy in them? As in, the Knights of Ren might have been at the New Jedi Temple because they legitimately thought that the possessed Luke was creating a new army to enslave the galaxy after the failure of the Galactic Empire?
Because, holy shit, that would completely change the game.
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Or perhaps Anakin attempts to possess Palpatine from Luke, which is why Padme throws him to the abyss.
I don't know, I feel like this finale is a letdown. It's exactly what I feared - the whole thing is suddenly about Anakin, after the entire OT plot of the comic made it clear, in a direct quote - his story is finished.
I know they need to justify the appearance of his ghost in the end, but he hogs the whole final battle, which should have been about Luke and Padme (and Palpatine) to himself, and acts like a caricature of his 1-3 characterization - to be frank, this Anakin is closer to his prequel charactertization than the comic version in 1-3. Which isn't a good thing.
I know it isn't done yet, but my opinion is sinking pretty far low at this point.
Am I alone in this?
P.S. Oh yeah, another thing - Palpatine straight up telling Padme he killed Anakin means he'll be dead by his own idiocy, and not by any effort on the heroes. It feels like the GM railroaded the whole thing(the possession at -10 is a blatant "you are not meant to pass this", for example) and that contradicts the free GM-rolls-with-the-players spirit of the comic.

If they were going that way, it would've happened by now.
No, I think they're going for Even Mooks Have Loved Ones leading to a Mook–Face Turn. Palpy is playing as He Who Fights Monsters right now... though he'll have his back to the abyss by the end of the week.
If it was at -15, I'd agree with you. To me, -10 means "You shouldn't pass this, but I'm giving you a long shot." Corey's response implied that he rolled low. Plus, the GM gave Corey an out... one that should've resulted in a new Will save (with no modifiers) after Anakin cut off Vader's hand.
You know, I have to wonder how much of this climax was in the original plan, how much was what evolved in the series, and how much was prompted by the revelation of the Sequel Trilogy? The same can be asked for GM!Ani's character: is the GM injecting a host of Trauma into Anakin, note did the GM forget many of the intricacies of Ani's character, or did DMM et. al. forget and, if the latter 2, how much did The Force Awakens affect that decision?
And I'm still hoping they'll do their Dark Forces campaign as a placeholder until after The Last Jedi goes out on DVD in Australia so that they can prepare a coherent narrative for Episodes 7 & 8.
Uh............
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)This:
Is now one of my new favorite quotes from this series, and it's not even from the strip. Is that one on the Evil Overlord list? It feels like it should be.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'm confused beyond belief. I have no idea what's happening anymore.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youPadme!Vader realized that Palpatine was personally responsible for the death of the man she loved, and threw him into the reactor core.
The whole "Hey Siri, Order 66!" was Palpatine deactivating Padme!Vader's life support, as previously mentioned in-comic, but Heroic Willpower kept her moving for long enough to throw him over the side.
Definitely not the smartest move on Palpatine's part to admit to the murder, but then, he is rather insane by this point. Sanity Has Advantages.
Cinematically this would be a pretty good scene, but from an internal story perspective, this is literally one of the NP Cs taking out the final boss while none of the P Cs are able to do anything at all. It's not even because Luke talked her into doing it or something. Not the best DM technique.

Not quite. Annie is still playing Darth Vader.
Wow, apparently I had actually managed to forget that. On checking, Vader's speech bubbles are indeed in player-white, not DM-yellow.
Vader's character hasn't ever been played by the GM, by my recollection.
Seems all the other Jedi Force Ghosts exorcised Anakin.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"So apparently in the new Han Solo movie 'Han Solo' might not be his original name.
Hilarious in Hindsight, amirite?
Direct all enquiries to Jamie B GoodAnd here's our link to Ben Solo, today's comic.
So, do you think that Anakin would be powerful enough to have his midichlorians develop an Evil Twin spirit to the Good Twin spirit that will show up in a few weeks?
NOTE: Spoilers pertain to more than the Comic...

You can't suspect ye flask!
Today's comic good news all around!
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I wonder if Vader's going to look the same without her mask on.
I could see that given this series take on him. In the first three games he's, at worst, a Well-Intentioned Extremist Anti-Villain. Which frankly I prefer to Lucas' Obviously Evil Stupid Evil version.
