The cast of the series. note
Fifi and the Flowertots is a British stop-motion preschool television series created by Keith Chapman; it tells the story of a forget-me-not named Fifi and her "flowertot" friends, and their adventures in the garden. The show started in 2005 and ended in 2010. When the show first aired in America on Sprout, it quickly became one of their favorite shows... for a while. Their promotion for the show eventually waned, and only the first two seasons were aired.

This animation provides examples of:

  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Sort of a given, considering most of the cast are flowers or bugs.
  • Animate Inanimate Object: Most of the characters are based on flowers.
  • Butt-Monkey: Stingo and Slugsy. Bumble can be too, at times.
  • Can't Get Away with Nuthin': Stingo always receives comeuppance for his mischief.
  • Character Catchphrase:
    • Anyone when Fifi forgets something: "Fifi Forget-me-not, forgot!"
    • Fifi herself says "Fiddly Flowerpetals" if she forgets something.
    • Bumble: "Wiggly worms!"
    • Stingo: "Rotten raspberries!"
    • Primrose: "I am NOT having a good day!"
  • Claymation: Just like Chapman's other works, the series is animated in stop-motion with clay models.
  • Dub Name Change: A rare English to English example, as Bumble was renamed Fuzzbuzz in the American dub on Sprout.
  • Forgetful Jones: The titular character is prone to forgetting things, justified because she is a forget-me-not.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Webby, sort of.
  • Harmless Villain: Somewhat bordering with No Antagonist. Otherwise, there is Stingo and Slugsy, the resident 'bad guys'. But Slugsy's an affable minion to Stingo, who always gets comeuppance for his naughty actions.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold:
    • Underneath all that mischief, Stingo does genuinely care about the residents of the garden, even Slugsy, who he often takes for granted and insults.
    • Primrose may be a snob, but she does care about Violet and the others.
  • Kindhearted Simpleton: Slugsy isn't too bright, but he's a lot nicer than Stingo and is a very sensitive guy, particularly towards Primrose, his crush.
  • The Klutz: Bumble, whenever he tries to land.
  • Nice Girl: Fifi is a total sweetheart. Not that she won't put her welly down whenever someone is up to no good, though.
  • No Fourth Wall: Fifi regularly addresses the viewers at the start of each episode saying "Hello, I'm Fifi Forget-me-not!", and also at the end saying "Bye! Don't forget to come back soon!". Though the most notable example is when she forgets something, so she describes the thing for the audience to guess.
  • Odd Friendship: Primrose is a Neat Freak whilst Violet is a messy painter, yet they are still able to live under the same roof.
  • Same Language Dub: An American English dub was produced for Sprout.
  • Screams Like a Little Girl: Stingo
  • Slasher Smile: An unintentional example. Several of the characters are prone to these, as they are Perpetual Smilers who always smile even when they're not happy. Stingo and Hornetto have it the worst, having big teeth.
  • Sneeze Interruption: Played for slapstick when Bumble says, "I have a bad—" but sneezes, splatting himself against the wall.
  • The Unintelligible: Mo the lawnmower. Fifi is the only one who can understand him, strangely enough.
