    Alternate Gabriel/The Intruder
The Alternate Jesus seen in "Overthrone" and the mastermind of the whole Alternate invasion is none other than Satan.
In "Overthrone", right after the Alternate Jesus' face is distorted, one can turn on captions to see a passage of text that wouldn't normally be visible. This text is from the Divine Comedy, specifically from the moment at which Dante comes face to face with Satan in the Ninth Pit of Hell. The implication being that Satan somehow replaced Jesus Christ, and thus started the whole outbreak of Alternates, a better name for which would be demons.
  • The title "Overthrone" certainly does add some serious weight to this theory.
  • Even more credence to this, is the continued reference to the Divine Comedy beyond Overthrone. In "The THINK Principle", the United States Department of Temporal Phenomena's logo has a message on it which says "Tempus Fugit", which means "Time flies". The person to coin this term? Virgil, one of the major characters of the Divine Comedy.
  • Confirmed as of "Exhibition", as a hidden line of text inside the captions after the Alternate Jesus appears describes Satan disguising himself as an angel of light.
  • Are we sure its confirmed? It might just be allegorical.
  • Ultimately Confirmed in "Vol. 4", which confirms Gabriel to be none other than the Serpent of Eden, and by extension Satan himself.

Gabriel/"Satan" is actually Nyarlathotep.
He is a shapeshifting eldritch being which has a deep understanding of human nature ("I know what makes you human") and uses said understanding to torment humans in sophisticated ways for his sadistic amusement (hence why alternates use "psychological warfare" instead of outright killing their victims). Nyarlathotep can also manifest himself as multiple physical avatars known as "Masks", many of which are humanoid. This suggests that alternates aren't seperate entities but merely different manifestations of the Crawling Chaos. Also a lot of alternates we've seen so far have a partially or entirely pitch black appearance (here's an example), while a common form used by the Nyarlathotep in the mythos is also described as a tall, pitch black human(oid).

The speaker at the end of "Overthrone" and the Intruder/Six are the same character

Notice how the subtitles of Six's dialogue in "Vol. 2" are all in lowercase, just like the speaker's dialogue in "Overthrone" (unlike others such as Alt!Gabriel whose subtitles in "Overthrone" and "Exhibition" are properly capitalized). Regardless of whether the speaker is Jesus, the real Gabriel, or someone else, they may have (perhaps after losing all hope in being saved by God) gotten corrupted and started working for Alt!Gabriel/Satan in exchange for freedom, becoming the Intruder we know today.

In this case, Six saying "nobody is coming to help you, nobody knows where you are" could be him projecting his own hopelessness back when he was imprisoned (the exact wording of which may have even been something that Alt!Gabriel told Six back then) onto Adam, and "you left him behind, what will he do without you, you left him to die" could be him projecting his feelings of betrayal towards God onto Jonah.

  • In the animated clip in "Vol. 2", biblical Adam's subtitles are all in lowercase too. So maybe the speaker/Six is biblical Adam (either that, or the lowercase subtitles are a sign that Six is messing with the clip). Adam wearing a black hood that parallels Six's could also potentially be hinting that the latter is the former's biblical counterpart.
  • Six being Jesus would explain why his theme song is "Ave Maria" (obviously a song about Jesus' mother) and his seeming association with the number 333(oddly enough considering his name is Six) as shown in the IMG_333 that pops up after he tells Adam to "open [his] eyes", the Error Code 333 on the GPS when he's taunting Jonah and possibly the 333 corruption mentioned in Alex's comment on "soccer game 2009". Even Six's current appearance (with short hair, a stubble and a black hood) being the opposite of how Jesus is normally depicted (with long hair, a full beard and white clothes) could symbolize how he's now the polar opposite of the man that he could've been, and the distorted "Jesus Loves Me" that plays during Alt!Gabriel's appearance in "Overthrone" could be him taunting the shepherds that Jesus will be on his side. Plus the "Vol. 2" teaser has a prayerthat cuts off the "Jesus Christ" part with an intruder alert alarm, and the Interactive Bible part of the "Vol. 333" teaser has Jesus coming out of an open Bible which is sort of similar to Six coming out of TVs.
  • Now the only issue is that the subtitles of Alt!Cesar and the Tulpa in "Vol. 333" are all in lowercase too, though at least the latter could be chalked up to Six puppeteering and speaking through the Tulpa (as mentioned in a WMG below), in which case him using Ruth's voice to tell Thatcher "you left me behind" could be him once again projecting himself and his anger towards God, this time onto Ruth and Thatcher respectively.
    • And if Six is puppeteering the Tulpa, the latter posing similarly to Jesus' crucifixion while it's floating could be yet another hint towards Six himself being Jesus, especially with The Stinger of "Vol. 333" implying that Alt!Gabriel approached Jesus at the time of his crucifixion.

Satan himself has M.A.D.

Satan's lack of distorted face expressions, creepy whispering voice, etc. in "Vol. 2"'s animated clip (as the serpent) may be signifying that this is pre-M.A.D. Satan, as opposed to his appearance throughout the rest of the series.

At some point between Adam and Eve's banishment and "Overthrone", Satan was somehow exposed to "information that is not desired to be known". But instead of committing suicide (possibly being less vulnerable to M.A.D. due to being a supernatural entity), he grew even worse than he already was and decided to spread M.A.D. to everyone else, be they angels (at least some of which may have become alternates themselves) or humans.

The Intruder/Six isn't a Tulpa, but rather a different (still unknown as of 2005-2009) type of alternate/entity

A Type 6, if you will.

Just like how Alt!Gabriel has the abilities of Types 1 and 3 without actually being one (as he's a Type 2), Six has the abilities of Type 4 (possibly along with some others) without being one. The upside down head that appears on the TV screen in "Vol. 2" may be an instance of an actual Tulpa.

It's also worth mentioning that the Tulpas are stated to be the "most recent threat" as of 2005 despite Six being active as far back as during the '80s, potentially hinting that they are different entities.

  • Potential leak spoilers: If this unredacted version of the alternate types infographic is indeed official, it would mean Tulpas can only manifest through mirrors and not TVs and other technology like Six can. And considering how Six has yet to appear on a mirror, perhaps they've never actually had the same abilities in the first place.

Someone summoned Alt!Gabriel at Cesar's house

May or may not have been done by Cesar himself, accidentally or not. It's why there are so many alternate appearances at his house, as well as why it consistently gives off dreadful vibes to other people.

This incident, likely among some others, is what lead to Alt!Gabriel being removed from the new THINK Principle video (in "Vol. 1") and reclassified from the Detectable to the Unspeakable.

Bonus points if whoever summoned Alt!Gabriel also made some kind of deal with him, if not just personally get killed by him.

The Intruder will overthrow Alt!Gabriel and become the new leader of the alternates
Note that even if he does defeat Satan, it would not automatically mean "the Intruder is a good guy".
  • What does FNaF have to do with this?
    • Reference to the infamous "Foxy is a good guy" theory back in the FNAF 1 days.

If the speaker at the end of "Overthrone" is Jesus, he was kidnapped as a baby by Alt!Gabriel
Just like how the Intruder kidnaps children now. Jesus' kidnapping may or may not have driven Mary and/or Joseph to suicide too. And if the Intruder is Jesus (as mentioned in a WMG above)... oh the irony.

The Intruder also has the powers of a Mimic
Possibly foreshadowed by him turning into a plush in the Intruder Plush Promo video. Note that Alex has added hints for the canon series in silly noncanon content before, like Alt!Cesar turning into a car in Scrimblo Catalogue foreshadowing the Mimics in general.

That's why the alternate at the end of "Vol. 333" (heavily implied to be a Tulpa) moves around like a puppet: the Intruder is quite literally puppeteering it. It's no wonder Stanley says "they're just as scared as you are". And the scene with the Tulpa using its hands to smile? It may not necessarily be it being unable to smile on its own, but rather the Intruder forcing it to smile despite it not wanting to.

Stanley is another manifestation/creation of Alt!Gabriel
After all Stan(ley) is pretty similar to Satan. And considering how Alt!Gabriel has the powers of other alternates, him also having the Intruder's power of appearing on technology isn't out of the question.
  • Jossed, Stanley is revealed to be the Intruder himself in "Vol. 4".

A future season finale will reveal the Intruder's true identity
Just like how Season 1's finale ("Exhibition") revealed that Alt!Gabriel is Satan.

Both of the "uh oh! bad decision [name]" lines are from the Intruder

There's some kind of connection between the Intruder and Alt!Cesar
Both their subtitles are all in lowercase; the only other characters with subtitles like that are the Tulpa in "Vol. 333" (who already has a high chance of having a connection with the Intruder anyways) and the speaker at the end of "Overthrone" (who might be the Intruder before his Face–Heel Turn, as theorized by a WMG above). And both of them have targeted Mark Heathcliff so there's also that. Plus both are hinted to be able to summon more alternates to their location, like when the Intruder threatened Adam that he can "wake the others", and when Alt!Cesar seemingly brought an entire crowd of alternates in front of Mark's door.

Alt!Gabriel kidnapped Jesus shortly after his crucifixion
As possibly hinted by the end of "Vol. 333". Basically Satan "saved" Jesus' life just to imprison and torment him.

Simply unplugging the TV cannot stop the Intruder
That's why he was able to kidnap Adam despite the TV being "unplugged for weeks", and why the USDTP ordered to straight up destroy TVs. And if the scene near the beginning of "Vol. 333" with someone (presumably Adam) watching TV is any indication, the Intruder can even make an unplugged TV function normally.

The series will end with Satan performing a twisted version of the Second Coming.
It's no mystery that Satan has replaced Jesus in this timeline, at least partially. Assuming that the Bible was indeed twisted to fit his narrative, the actual Second Coming might be a code name for Satan coming back and finally pulling the plug on Earth.

Alternatively, the Intruder will be the one to perform the twisted Second Coming
Assuming he is indeed Jesus (if he's the speaker at the end of "Overthrone") after a Face–Heel Turn, as stated by a WMG above. This would involve the Intruder revealing his true identity along with the fact that he's chosen to side with Satan to everyone, tanking many people's hopes in the process. Meanwhile Satan will be straight up playing the role of God himself.

Alt!Gabriel will possess someone

This could happen to any character, be they alive or dead. If this does happen, there will be apparent signs that this is Alt!Gabriel possessing a real person and not an alternate that has shapeshifted into the person's appearance as per usual.

(Side note: demonic possession is a thing in Christianity, however in Mandela Catalogue this ability may be exclusive to Alt!Gabriel while the rest of the alternates stick to shapeshifting.)

  • Perhaps Mark has the highest chance of getting possessed, given how much the series focuses on him despite him already being dead, and the implication that other alternates are discouraged from impersonating him (if the school receptionist's call only mentioning Mark's absence and not Cesar's is any indication [implying Alt!Cesar went to school in Cesar's place but no alternate did the same for Mark], not to mention the Intruder announcing Mark's death on TV instead of letting people believe he's still alive so an alternate can impersonate him). Mark may have been planned to be Alt!Gabriel's "vessel" for a long time, possibly ever since the Intruder first encountered him as a child.
  • Other likely candidates are Adam and Thatcher. Not only do they both (along with Mark) have the most prominent roles in the series so far, but Adam was set free at some point after being kidnapped by the Intruder as a baby, and Thatcher's Doppelganger walked away from him instead of sticking around and persistently trying to drive him to suicide, almost like both were intentionally spared. If Alt!Gabriel specifically needs a living host, then Adam and Thatcher may be the most likely to get possessed.
    • The reason for the Intruder kidnapping thousands of children (besides probably making them create more Tulpas) may have been to raise them as potential hosts for Alt!Gabriel, with Adam possibly being declared as the most suitable vessel for him. Not only that, but Adam's Jerkass personality may make him even more vulnerable to Alt!Gabriel's influence.
    • The "there's not enough room for the two of us, Lieutenant" message, while it's a reference to "The THINK Principle", may also have a hidden Double Meaning from Alt!Gabriel about how there isn't enough room for both of their consciousnesses in Thatcher's body. And if the "something" that was taken from Thatcher was really his soul (as said by a WMG in a folder below), that could've been done to make room for Alt!Gabriel to eventually possess his body.
  • Alt!Gabriel may even be preparing multiple vessels, so if something goes wrong with the one he's possessing he can hop onto another one of the "backups".

Alt!Gabriel has taken over heaven and purgatory already
Alt!Gabriel's purgatory may have been where the children kidnapped by the Intruder were held captive at. If a satanic equivalent of the rapture happens, Alt!Gabriel's heaven will be where he takes the Intruder, the alternates, and maybe the victims of M.A.D. (both alive and dead, or just the survivors) to while everyone else is screwed over.

Alt!Gabriel will force the survivors of M.A.D. to work for him
Whether they like it or not. In Alt!Gabriel's perspective, he's rewarding them for accepting the "truth" (the undesired information that gives people M.A.D.) without succumbing to suicide. Adam (if he survived) and Thatcher may try to rebel against him, but likely to no avail. Alt!Gabriel may or may not even drag the dead victims of M.A.D. out of hell (or wherever they ended up after death) and force them to join his army too.

Alt!Gabriel has been gravely injured (whether by the real Gabriel, another archangel[s], God and/or someone/something else)
It's why his disguise was slowly falling apart (like the "I am the aaaaaaangel Gabriel" moment in "Overthrone"), as well as why he's been inactive in the modern times. If Alt!Gabriel ends up possessing someone (as stated by a WMG above), this may be the reason why: he'll need a temporary body for him to be active in the modern times until his own body fully recovers. Perhaps his injury could be the key to defeating Alt!Gabriel for good.

The Intruder (assuming he's the speaker at the end of "Overthrone") made a deal with Alt!Gabriel that allowed them to switch places
The reason why Alt!Gabriel has been absent in the modern times is because he's been chilling in the desert prison and observing Earth, making sure the Intruder is actually doing his job correctly (as the new leader of alternates) as part of the deal. Of course, Alt!Gabriel can always switch places with the Intruder again whenever the former wants, regardless of how well the latter does his job. Though the Intruder might've been initially reluctant to lead a horde of suicide-inducing demons, after many years of doing his job he eventually started to enjoy it.
  • Presumably jossed, as Alt!Gabriel has been shown to still be able to manifest on Earth in "Vol. 4".

Alt!Gabriel has been Sealed Inside a Person-Shaped Can

Similar to the Demonic Possession WMG above, except the difference is that 1. he was trapped against his will (likely by someone powerful such as God or another archangel) and 2. he's dormant... mostly. That is, Alt!Gabriel may still be able to subtly influence the "Person-Shaped Can" in some way. The only way for him to be freed may be his host dying; either that, or his host's death will kill Alt!Gabriel instead, so he and the other alternates actually have to try to keep them alive, and there's a different way for him to be freed. Or it could depend on the cause of death: suicide will set Alt!Gabriel free, but if the host dies any other way he'll be destroyed.

Alternatively, Alt!Gabriel was split up into pieces and sealed within multiple people. One of these people could've been Mark, in which case a piece of Alt!Gabriel could've been set free after his death. The deaths of all the hosts will allow Alt!Gabriel to become whole again.

  • Jossed.

The Intruder is the speaker from "Overthrone" after being possessed by Alt!Gabriel
In exchange for being freed from the sand prison, the speaker had to allow Alt!Gabriel to possess his body. This is why the Intruder both speaks in all lowercase like the speaker and has a whisper text-to-speech voice like Alt!Gabriel at the same time, as well as how he seemingly has memories of Satan tricking Adam and Eve into eating the forbidden fruit, and why his name is Six. The relationship between Alt!Gabriel and the speaker may be either hostile or symbiotic (or gradually changed from hostile to symbiotic). If the speaker is Jesus, this could've been Alt!Gabriel's final step in replacing him as the "true savior", by directly possessing his body so they'd basically be the same entity. After a long time of Alt!Gabriel possessing the speaker, they may have even been merged into a single being, permanently or not.
  • At the very least, the part about them being merged into one is jossed.

Jesus IS the Intruder
Alt!Gabriel (aka Satan) interfered with Jesus' destiny and tried to imprison him. In a rage, Jesus escaped and has been assembling his own army of children to try and get revenge. Along the way, however, he lost all of his compassion that he would have otherwise been famous for.

Gabriel's Plan: Recreate the Great Flood
Gabriel's agenda behind everything is still unknown outside of the vague idea he wants to subject humanity to genocide. However, there is a hint as to what that plan is, and it will be achieved by reusing one biblical element: The Ark.

During the viewing of "Exhibition", an altered clip from "The Beginner's Bible" plays depicting Noah having constructed the Ark, only to be caught by Gabriel, who is not pleased that Noah ignored his order not to build it. To this end, he puts what is heavily implied to be the first Alternate onto the Ark, with Noah being inflicted with M.A.D. as a result. So why did Gabriel not want Noah to build the Ark? Simple really, if you remember why Noah built it in the first place. In the original version of events, YHWH tasked Noah with building the Ark and taking both his family and two of every animal onto it, so that they would survive a storm that drown the world for 40 Days and 40 Nights, this being known as "The Great Flood", YHWH having done so to effectively call for a do-over on the universe, and using the inhabitants of the Ark to repopulate. So, Gabriel not wanting Noah to build the Ark was likely so that there would be no survivors of the Great Flood. All of humanity and animal alike would be washed away in the world returning to primordial chaos, not only getting rid of humanity like he wanted, but also weakening the forces of YHWH.

Obviously though, he failed on that front because Noah built the Ark, and even though he put an Alternate on the Ark, humanity was still recreated. So, he had to take the long way in his purging of humanity, by using Alternates to kill people off one by one, having them kill themselves so that their souls would be damned to hell and be in his grasp rather than ascend to Heaven under His protection. But, just killing people via M.A.D. wouldn't be enough for Gabriel's true goal though, since it's obviously a slow moving process, and not everyone is going to kill themselves from getting M.A.D. as Thatcher Davis proves. So, what better way to clean the slate than to cause another Great Flood? By having the Alternates show up and driving humanity to suicide while letting these things run around unimpeded, Gabriel is try to force YHWH's hand into causing another Great Flood. This time though, Gabriel is going to have his own Ark at the ready.

"But how can we be sure YHWH is even alive still? Couldn't Gabriel have gotten rid of him?" Ah, there in lies the falsehood. Remember, one of the bigger lines associated with Gabriel is "I have fooled the shepherd.", with many believing the "Shepherd" refers to Jesus Christ. Except Gabriel first said this before Jesus was even born, while speaking to a sleeping Joseph, so it's more likely "The Shepherd" refers to YHWH, fitting with the idea that another name for Jesus Christ is "The Lamb of God". This would fit with the fact that, in the Bible, it was YHWH who told Noah to build the Ark. And Gabriel specifically said he fooled "The Shepherd", meaning he tricked God rather than overpowered him. This would fit with the hierarchy of the Angels, as while Gabriel is a high ranking Angel, he's not the highest, Michael is, and Michael is considered the equivalent of the General of Heaven. So "Gabriel" can't simply overpower Heaven, as not only would Michael stop him, but his last attempt at that as Lucifer showed how that would go. So, he instead tries the subterfuge option. By tricking YHWH into believing he really is Gabriel, he is working right beneath YHWH's nose and manipulating events for his plans, trying to give YHWH a reason to cleanse the Earth again, all the while slowly weakening YHWH by turning those of faith against him. Once that happens, "Gabriel" will reveal his true identity and launch another attempt on overthrowing God, only this time, his army will be much bigger, comprised of all the souls that were damned by suicide, and an army of devoted followers that comprise the new humanity: the children The Intruder took.

If you go back to when The Preacher was whispering at Adam and unscramble it, then slow the speed down, you'll hear this. One of the things it whispers to Adam sounds akin to "It's nothing personal but freeing the kids in the big glowing ark is positive". Glowing ark. Now, remember that the Intruder, who is confirmed to work for Gabriel, has been kidnapping thousands of children after tricking them into creating Tulpa Alternates, which, if Lynn Murray is any indication, drive the parents of the children to kill themselves via M.A.D. However, we never get any clue as to what happened to these kids, just that some of them, like Adam Murray, had Alternate sleeper agents left in their place, as The Intruder says "Do not make me wake the others". With what The Preacher said though, it makes sense as to why The Intruder is kidnapping kids. They will be the new humanity much like Noah's family, only they will have been raised to view "Gabriel" as their god rather than YHWH. Empowered by their faith, along with an army willing to live and die for him, and all the damned souls that killed themselves via M.A.D., it will be the forces of Heaven vs. the army of Earth and Hell.

It's got some hiccups though. Even with his efforts to try and make Earth a hellhole and turn people away from God, not everyone is willing to lie down and die.
  • Dave, while managing to create Face Studio 2 and repaired the tapes that will help create more Alternates, still "Followed the Shepherd" by turning to religion and not finishing his "role", requiring Gabriel kill him directly, in turn meaning his soul wouldn't be damned to hell but instead ascend to Heaven, where he could possibly alert YHWH as to Gabriel's plan.
  • Thatcher managed to prove resistant to M.A.D. and won't rest until he puts an end to the Alternates even as he slowly breaks further and further, requiring Gabriel trick him into "following his intuition" and finding Adam turning into The Jester hoping it would get Thatcher to kill himself, but Adam is in no condition to be a threat to Thatcher.
  • Eve has managed to find out what Adam really is and is poised to be a key player in resisting Gabriel's goal now that she knows all this is going on.
Gabriel's plan isn't going smoothly, and while his arrogance makes him believe he will still win, there are still some cards stacked against him. History repeats, the Morning Star shall try to rise and instead fall into the abyss, and David shall fell the mighty Goliath.

    Other Alternates
The Alternates want people to kill themselves so they are guaranteed to go to hell.
It has already been confirmed in "Exhibition" that the Alternates are a creation of Satan himself, or at the very least related to him in some way. In Early Christianity, suicide is regarded as a sin and blasphemy. It isn't too farfetched to say that Alternates, who have been shown to not resort to physical violence unless their victims don't want to commit suicide (Such as Mark), want their victims to suffer an eternal torment in Hell with their creator.

The Alternates are a recent danger and do not actually stretch back to Biblical times.
It's stated early on that the Alternates' main strategy is to wage "psychological warfare", i.e. cause enough terror and hopelessness to push targets to suicide. There are a lot of hints that the videos themselves are part of these "psychological warfare" tactics, and the information within therefore must be taken with a grain of salt. It's possible that the Alternates are playing themselves up to twist peoples' faith from a source of comfort to a subject of despair.

The Alternates come from an Alternate Timeline, rather than being caused by time travel.
Despite the numerous changes Alt!Gabriel made to the timeline back in Biblical times, nothing seems to have really changed in the 1992 setting. Hell, there's even churches with crosses as their symbol still, and Jesus wasn't even born under the same circumstances, if even born at all. A possible explanation is that the Christian Cartoon segments are part of the alternate universe, where Satan overthrew God, took the place as Humanity's "true savior," and created the Alternates. Then, somehow, figured out a way to invade other universes, possibly through the "Tulpa" alternates, since they're chronologically the first ones that we see in the "main" universe.

The biblical flood was a desperate attempt to wipe out the Alternates
Alternates are such a large threat that even the angels, God's direct servants, aren't safe from them. My theory is that God himself saw the Alternates as a threat, and caused the flood in this universe as a desperate attempt to wipe the slate clean and end the threat. However, Noah found out about the coming disaster and built the Ark to try and save his family, only for one or more Alternates to sneak aboard, causing the Alternate catastrophe of the modern era.
  • It's even hinted in "Exhibition" when Alt!Gabriel (or Satan in disguise) confronts Noah and his wife during the boarding of the Ark scene he says "You will bring another creature on the boat. You won't notice it at first, just wait Noah". That line has been speculated to mean that Satan found out about God's plans of the flood and about Noah building the Ark. And to ensure that the Alternates still survive after the flood, he put an Alternate in disguise of an animal on Noah's Ark.

If a new THINK Principle/Know Your Enemy video is made, Alternate Cesar will be shown as one of the examples
As a Type 1 or maybe a Type 3.

One of the alternates is biblical Cain

Cain was turned into an alternate (likely by Alt!Gabriel) at some point after he got his mark that causes any damage towards him to reflect back.

Mark didn't commit suicide after screaming a Battle Cry, he shot his gun at Alt!Cesar but the bullet was reflected back to him due to either Alt!Cesar being Cain himself or Cain getting in between the bullet and Alt!Cesar (since there was apparently more than one alternate tormenting Mark).

  • This initially seemed to me like a nice theory, but there are certain problems with it: First of all: You can't be turned into an Alternate, only replaced, it wouldn't make sense for Cain's alternate to have the same Attack Reflector capabilities as Cain. And secondly, Cain couldn't have an Alternate anyway, because the Alternates were created around the time where Noah built an ark, by the time the first Alternate was sent to Earth, Cain would've already died of old age.
    • To be fair, we still don't know Alt!Gabriel's full capabilities, so it's possible he can turn humans into alternates and he just does it to those he consider worthy enough to do so (e.g. someone wicked and biblically significant enough). As for the timeline issue, Alt!Gabriel could've simply given Cain some form of immortality, and/or there's temporal shenanigans involved (implied by the existence of the Department of Temporal Phenomena).
  • Alternatively, Cain could've always been an alternate (possibly replaced as a baby like Adam Murray); rather than beating Abel to death with a rock, Cain could've driven him to suicide by giving him M.A.D. instead.

The Alternates are actually people from alternate universes.
Someone or something is experimenting with sending people to alternate universes. Hence the disappearing children. Most end up just fine; without any idea that they swapped universes with another version of themselves. But some of them don't. Some of them get stuck somewhere in between universes; and get warped into horrible abominations. Eventually though, a group of them found a way out of that realm. Into the universe where the series takes place; and attempt to spread the existential horror they experienced their whole lives to the people there.

Stanley's scene in "Vol. 333" shows how Alternates spawn
There's always been a mental aspect to the Alternates, what with their ability to inflict M.A.D. on their victims to force suicide. However, those Alternates were more aggressive. Stanley comes off as more passive here and talks to people more gently. These "imaginary friends" that Stanley encourages the children to make, I believe, are actually Alternates formed in people's minds and brought to reality...somehow. This probably wouldn't explain the origins of pre-modern Alternates, but perhaps the way Alternates are "born" then is much different then how they are "born" today, considering they've been there since the Old Testament.
  • It's heavily implied that Stanley's TV show is how Type 4 Alternates (Tulpas) are created, at the very least.

Alt!Cesar will be a recurring antagonist
Even when he's impersonating someone else, there will still be noticeable traits that allow us to identify him, like his voice after revealing himself to be an alternate (the voice done by Michelle Strohwig). He will be part of the "Unholy Trinity" along with Alt!Gabriel and the Intruder.

Alt!Cesar attended school (at least for a couple of days) in Cesar's place
That's why the school receptionist only mentioned Mark's absence and not Cesar. Though that raises the question of why Mark wasn't impersonated by an alternate, that may be something that ties into the Intruder announcing Mark's death to everyone through national TV.

Alt!Cesar is the same alternate that was brought on Noah's Ark

Alt!Cesar is the real Gabriel after he has fallen/gotten M.A.D.
Perhaps being a fallen archangel (archdemon?) may be what allows him to summon a crowd of alternates, though Alt!Gabriel still could've stripped away a large chunk of his powers from him to keep him from potentially rebelling.

Mimics make audible breathing sounds on purpose
This of course is yet another tactic to instill fear in their victims. Chances are alternates probably don't even need to breathe in the first place.

Alternates can steal people's souls
In "every day gets brighter" Thatcher says "that thing took something from me, I feel different" before talking about the alternate copying his appearance. Perhaps the "something" that the alternate took from him is his soul; alternates are implied to be demons, and demons are often portrayed as taking people's souls in other media. Maybe stealing a person's soul is even a requirement for copying said person's appearance.

Alternates steal a person's will to live
Similar to above, the goal of most Alternates seems to be driving people to suicide rather than killing them. Most incorporeal Alternates could be taking the slow, roundabout way of driving people to suicide while corporeal ones (aka, those who have likely already pushed someone to kill themselves) can directly steal someone's will to live. "There's not enough room for the two of us" may be more a contest of wills rather than a contest of space, where in order for an Alternate to truly exist, it must take the will to live from the person it is imitating. After all, in order for Alternates to start truly haunting people, they must know what the person fears, and what is fear but not the will to live in a concentrated form?

Alt!Cesar and Alt!Thatcher are the same alternate
So he's the one who told Thatcher "uh oh! bad decision".

Cesar is a Tulpa created by child Mark

Mark was at least old enough to create an actually comprehensible Imaginary Friend, unlike Adam who was a literal baby so his Tulpa just turned out to be this vague humanoid thing. Cesar technically isn't actually a year older than Mark, but rather Mark just imagined his friend to be a year older than him and Cesar was created accordingly. As for Cesar's mother, she's actually his adoptive mom who took him in after she found him as a child, or less likely is another Tulpa herself (also made by Mark in this case). Mark either forgot over time or never realized that Cesar was his imaginary friend brought to life.

It's unclear exactly how sentient Cesar is, but at the very least he was able to grow up and function like a real human being to some extent, and if Stanley's "they're just as scared as you are" quote regarding the Tulpas are any indication, he's able to feel human emotions as well. It's possible Cesar became more "realistic" as Mark grew up under the belief that he's a real person, so Cesar himself grew up too. It's also unclear if he's always known he's a Tulpa or was under the belief that he's a real human, and if the latter, whether he (and/or Mark for that matter) ever found out his true identity.

"Alt!Cesar" isn't a Doppelganger posing as Cesar, but rather the Intruder/Six puppeteering Cesar the same way he (presumably) did to Adam's Tulpa in "Vol. 333". This is why "Alt!Cesar's" subtitles are all in lowercase just like Six's: rather than Cesar himself talking, it's Six speaking through Cesar, again (presumably) the same way he spoke through Adam's Tulpa hence its subtitles being all in lowercase too. "Alt!Cesar's" Electronic Speech Impediment may or may not be the result of Cesar trying to resist against Six's control.

Even Cesar's house giving off dreadful vibes may have been at least partially due to it being inhabited by a Tulpa for a long time. After all, even if he's never been malicious on his own when he isn't being controlled by Six, he's still ultimately an alternate (Tulpas are classified as Type 4 alternates) and has some kind of connection with Six as all Tulpas seem to do.

Alternates can't hurt humans at all
Up to Season 3, Alternates have been shown physically touching and manipulating corpses, as well as attacking humans, but the humans always survive the aftermath and aren't shown with any wounds. Any deaths that occur always seem to be the cause of suicide rather than the Alternates killing them personally. Exemplified with Mark Heathcliff- both the Intruder and Cesar Torres' Alternate had ample time to hurt him, with the latter being implied to be shot by Mark several times. Instead of retaliating, it tried to increase his paranoia and eventually led Mark to commit suicide. Either Alternates can't hurt people due to being from a different part of reality, killing or hurting people directly interferes with their plans, or they simply don't consider it as fun to hurt people physically rather than mentally.

Cesar's house itself is a Mimic, and/or there's at least one Mimic posing as an object in Cesar's house
This could be another possible reason for the dreadful vibes it gives off.

Tulpas are Immune to Bullets, but Doppelgangers and Flawed Impersonators aren't
This sort of ties into the WMG above about Cesar being a Tulpa; he and the alternate from "Vol. 333" are both immune to bullets because they're Tulpas. The USDTP told people it's okay to try to execute an alternate (before the discovery of Tulpas) because there's been confirmed cases of Doppelgangers/Flawed Impersonators being deterred by bullets before. Even Thatcher may be aware of this, given how he swore to kill his Doppelganger despite failing to kill a Tulpa with bullets earlier, so he could've realized they're different types of alternates. Mimics may be vulnerable to bullets too, as they seem to be the same brand of shapeshifting demons as Doppelgangers/Flawed Impersonators, just turning into objects instead of people. As the most recent threat, Tulpas may even at least partially be the alternates' countermeasure against bullets.

The Tulpas will rebel against the Intruder and other alternates
Considering how they're made to be children's imaginary friends, a good majority if not all Tulpas probably don't want to hurt anyone (Stanley's claim that the Tulpas are scared makes this even more likely), not to mention having their bodies puppeteered by the Intruder (assuming that's true) is likely far from an enjoyable experience, to say the least. Eventually they'll get sick of being forced to drive people to suicide, resist against the Intruder's control over them, and start a rebellion against him and the other alternates. The Tulpas could use their immunity to bullets and ability to travel through mirrors as a tactical advantage, though they could just get curb stomped by Alt!Gabriel and the Intruder given how powerful they both seem to be. If Cesar is really a Tulpa, he'll be the one to lead the rebellion like how his biblical counterpart, Julius Caesar, led his armies in many wars, including a civil war.

Alternatively, Cesar (if he's a Tulpa) will be the only one to defect

As a Tulpa that's the most like a realistic human being, Cesar will be the only alternate to go against his nature and the other alternates' mission of eradicating humanity, especially after being forced to kill both his adoptive mom and his childhood best friend (who's also his creator, though he may not necessarily be aware of that part) by the Intruder. Meanwhile the other Tulpas are any combination of too cowardly/dumb/evil/weak to defect.

The Intruder and Alt!Gabriel may actually "allow" Cesar to defect, whether for their own amusement or some other reason (similar to how the Intruder released child Adam for whatever reason). Though if either of them is the one that's labeled him as "victim 2", let's just say they probably don't plan on keeping him alive for too long.

The line "they're just as scared as you are" is merely intended to lower the guards of children watching Stanley's show.
Tulpas are made with the help of Stanley's show. Tulpas are (obviously) Alternates, and are therefore Satan's creation. If Alternates continue to lack any sort of display of redeeming qualities, then Stanley's words about how they're just as scared as the children is a way to lower their guard enough so that they approach the Alternates.
  • In addition, tacking on the "they're just as scared as you are" hints that children who have formed Tulpas are either instinctively afraid of their creations, the Tulpas immediately start behaving in scary ways (lurking in the dark, having odd features, etc.), or both.

Tulpas are the least hostile of all the Alternates
Given that they are made from a child's imagination, the Tulpas may actually be friendly or at least docile toward the children that created them. They're only hostile to the adults/anyone who isn't the child, and will do distressing things such as take the child away from the adult in order to induce M.A.D.

There are other Type 2 (Detectable/Unspeakable) alternates consisting of named demons and (fallen) angels
Some possible examples (of the ones that have their own page here on TV Tropes) being Asmodeus, Baphomet, Beelzebub, Mammon, and Mephistopheles, and (fallen) Azrael, real Gabriel (if he isn't just dead), Metatron, Michael, and Uriel. Though of course Satan is still the most fearsome of them all. Any alternates outside Type 2 are just nameless "small fries" (comparatively speaking).

The alternate that Alt!Gabriel sneaked onto Noah's Ark is the real (fallen) Gabriel
Given how he's the angel that Satan impersonated, Gabriel was likely the first to get M.A.D. and subsequently transform into a fallen angel AKA demon AKA alternate (assuming he didn't just commit suicide). Choosing Fallen Gabriel to sneak onto the ark might've even been some kind of twisted joke on Satan/Alt!Gabriel's part, topping it off with calling him a "creature" in a derogatory manner.

The Preacher is the real (fallen) Gabriel

After all Gabriel's original role was to be God's messenger, so Fallen (real) Gabriel being the Preacher would be fitting (as a corrupted messenger working for Satan). This could also tie into the WMG above about the real Gabriel being the alternate that hopped onto Noah's Ark, as its task was to give Noah his "last message".

And if the Intruder is indeed the speaker at the end of "Overthrone" (possibly Jesus), the "a messenger" screen from "Interlude" paralleling the Intruder's scene in "Vol. 1" could be signifying they have something in common: being two of the most important victims from the biblical times who have joined Satan's side.

N will get The Bus Came Back (and potentially Ascended Extra) treatment similar to the Preacher
It's worth noting that N was once featured in a teaser image alongside Alt!Gabriel, the Intruder, and the Preacher, which may make this even more likely to happen.
  • N's return will relate to Thatcher or someone else gaining information on an Alternate's true form, since N is a perfect example of such.

Children do not manifest Type 4 Alternates in their entirety. They manifest their disguises.
Type 4 Alternates are ultimately the same "species" as normal Alternates. But rather than taking on a form based on a human being, they have their corporeal forms manifested by children. This results in a much more powerful "disguise" than any form an Alternate could take on its own. It's possible the Tulpa forms can also be shapeshifted on a dime (if Thatacher's follower indeed took Thatcher's form after attacking him), as opposed to a normal Alternate which is either stuck in its current disguise or has to go through some sort of painful moulting in order to re-shapeshift.

Type 1 and 3 Alternates cannot shapeshift again without first completely shedding their current disguise.
This process is potentially very time-consuming, painful, or even leave the Alternate vulnerable in ways they would not be otherwise. So most Type 3s opt to just give up on impersonation and just use their bungled disguises to instill terror. N's disguise was so incomplete that he was probably able to shed it without too much trouble, but opted to just stay in his true form rather than take on another and potentially screw up again.Type 5 Alternates are also the only ones explicitly stated to transform "At will" so Object Shifting may not have this drawback. Type 4s may also be immune to this due to being given special bodies made from the thoughts of children that they can morph on a dime.

The Preacher is imitating Lynn Murray
That would explain the apparent connection between the Preacher and Adam. Obviously this would also mean Lynn was a nun (likely making her even more vulnerable to M.A.D.).

    Humans
Adam has Acquired Poison Immunity to M.A.D.
He doesn't act paranoid while he's afflicted by it after the alternate gave it to him, instead he acted angrier and aggresive. During his "The Reason You Suck" Speech, Jonah says that Adam has been running towards the alternates his entire life. It has already been established that any type of contact with alternates will lead to developing M.A.D. so it is possible that he has already been infected by it, albeit in small proportions, explaining how it has a different effect on him.

Sarah Heathcliff will be relevant at some point

The kidnapped children were either turned into or forced to create Tulpas
This could be why the Tulpas are much more recent compared to other types of alternates, as well as why they have the same ability as the Intruder.
  • Semi-confirmed: though "Vol. 333" implies that they were tricked into creating Tulpas (through the "The Might of the Subconscious" TV program), rather than being forced to, the children were still involved in the creation of Tulpas nonetheless.

The visibleness of the victims' eyes in their photos symbolize their fates
  • Neither Mark nor Cesar's eyes are visible, looking almost as if they're both eyeless. Both are dead.
  • Both of Adam's eyes are visible, which may possibly mean he survived unlike Mark and Cesar.
  • Only one of Jonah's eyes are visible, so he may have survived but something else bad happened to him (aside from getting M.A.D., he could've gotten badly injured from whatever happened to him after he stepped out of his car).

Jonah is the one that got replaced by an alternate, not Adam

Though the teaser for "Vol. 333" makes it seem like Adam is the one that got replaced (with Jonah acting suspicious of him), considering the parallels between Mark and Adam (both being the central protagonists of each volume and the Intruder being focused on them), perhaps Jonah will also parallel Cesar and he'll be replaced by an alternate instead. Judging from the ending of "Vol. 2", it seems more likely for Jonah to be the one to have died than Adam anyways (speaking of which, after keeping Adam and Jonah's true fates in "Vol. 2" vague for so long, would Alex really spoil them so easily in a teaser...?), though an alternate could still impersonate Jonah even if he isn't dead. In this case Alt!Jonah may be trying to use some kind of Reverse Psychology on Adam when he says he isn't going anywhere with him.

Bonus points if Alt!Jonah and Alt!Cesar are the same alternate, who has gotten better at pretending to be a human over the years.

The kidnapped baby's father from "Intruder Alert" is Thatcher Davis
Alex did say in a Q&A that the baby's father will be important at some point, so maybe he's Thatcher. As for the last names being different if the baby is Adam, maybe he ended up at a different household (and a different county for that matter) when he escaped/someone freed him (?).
  • Jossed, "Vol. 333" revealed the father to be Jude Murray.

Alternatively, the kidnapped baby's father from "Intruder Alert" is Mervin Marshall (Jonah's father)
However, this would mean that it was Jonah's mother that committed suicide, not Adam's, which leaves open the question of who the woman that Adam has been looking for is, though of course the possibility of Adam's mother also committing suicide isn't completely out of the question.
  • Jossed.

Mark and/or Cesar will appear (or at least be mentioned) in "Vol. 333"
If they do appear, they may or may not get more Character Development like Adam and Jonah.
  • Confirmed.

The victim numbers correspond to the alternate types that gave them M.A.D. and/or killed them
  • Victim 1: Mark was driven to suicide by a Doppelganger (Type 1) of Cesar.
  • Victim 2: If Alt!Gabriel (Type 2) was really summoned at Cesar's house, he's likely the one who gave him M.A.D./killed him.
  • Victim 3: A Flawed Impersonator (Type 3) with a Ghostly Gape seemingly attempted to give Adam M.A.D. (if the quick whispers are any indication). Even if he survived that, Adam could still be targeted by a different Flawed Impersonator later on.
  • Victim 4: If the Intruder is a Tulpa (Type 4), him tormenting Jonah in his car would count as this. If not, an actual Tulpa could still claim Jonah's life.
  • Victim 5: Though there's no known fifth victim yet, they could get M.A.D. from/be killed by a Mimic (Type 5).

All the numbered victims have been targeted by the Intruder one way or another
We already know Mark, Adam and Jonah have encountered the Intruder, maybe Cesar has ran into him at some point too.

Both Adam and Jonah were kidnapped by the Intruder as children
They met each other for the first time at wherever the Intruder held them captive at, with both escaping/being freed at some point.

Dave Lee and/or John Edwards will appear/be mentioned in "Vol. 333"
If Alex recommending the Plush Promo video as one of the videos to watch as a recap before watching "Vol. 333" is any indication.
  • Confirmed (for Dave Lee that is).

The two children whose voices the alternate/Tulpa was mimicking in "Vol. 333" are Mark and Sarah Heathcliff

Meaning both Heathcliff siblings have encountered the Intruder as children, not just Mark. Sarah may or may not have even been kidnapped by the Intruder.

The "best friend" that Mark introduced to his mom may be either the Intruder or a Tulpa that he created... or it could be a case of Twisting the Words and he was actually referring to Cesar or another normal human child.

Not only did Jude survive, he never actually went to Lynn's house in the first place
The "Jude" that went to Lynn's house and called the police is an alternate, likely the same one that later takes Thatcher's form. This is also why Jonah only brought up Adam's mom and not his dad, because both are fully aware his dad isn't dead. Jude betraying Lynn and leading her to her death would also parallel his biblical counterpart, Judas Iscariot, betraying Jesus and leading him to his death.

Thatcher will pull a Heroic Sacrifice at some point

Thatcher will team up with Evelin, Sarah, Adam and/or Jonah (whichever one of them survived)
Of course it will be a reluctant Teeth-Clenched Teamwork for multiple reasons (at least with the latter three BPS members), at least initially.

Mervin Marshall will be an antagonistic character
As (presumably) another member of the Mandela County Police Department, Mervin will be a Dirty Cop as a Foil to Thatcher. As for how he treats his son Jonah, he'll be neglectful at best and straight up abusive towards him at worst. Even his lack of a biblical name (unlike every other human in the series so far) may be an indicator of his antagonistic role.
  • Unfortunately, Mervin Marshall was a troll character made by TheMister, a renown member in the community and creator of The Hartwin Archives, in the Mandela Catalogue Patreon server. It is officially endorsed by Alex Kister, though.
    • Mervin seems to be a canon character now if the mandelapolice.com website is any indication, though he's a lawyer rather than a police officer.

Dave Lee will have his own David Versus Goliath moment
Similar to how Thatcher Davis faced a giant alternate, Dave will face the Intruder himself. As the manager of MandelaTECH Daily helping with the investigation of the alternates, Dave eventually running into the Intruder is almost inevitable anyways, not to mention it's technically been foreshadowed by the Intruder Plush Promo video (though ironically enough, in that video Dave encounters the Intruder as a tiny plushie rather than anything gigantic).
  • Confirmed in "Vol. 4", but he didn't face the Intruder, he faced Satan himself.

At least one of the dead characters will be brought back to life somehow

Well, resurrection is a thing in Christianity (and not just with Jesus but with other people too) so why not?

Mark and to a lesser extent Cesarare probably the most likely to be brought back to life, based on how much focus they've been getting in the series.

There will be a set of identical twins named Cain and Abel
Considering they're identical twins in a world full of life-threatening demons that can shapeshift to look like yourself and other people, and said twins' names are Cain and Abel, let's just say their story probably won't end well. Bonus points if they have another brother (triplet or not) named Seth.

Cesar and Jonah have lost/will lose an eye
Based on some of their photos, Cesar has lost/will lose his right eye and Jonah his left eye. They could've even lost their eye in their respective suicide attempts (whether they've succeeded or not). If either of them survived, a future video could show them with an eyepatch or bandages over their lost eye. Considering how "opening your eyes" seems to be an idiom for someone getting M.A.D., Cesar and Jonah losing an eye could also be symbolic in a similar way.

The victims' eyes in their photos (as of "Vol. 333") symbolize how they've taken in the "undesired information" that gave them M.A.D.
  • Mark and Adam: Both eyes are visibly open. They've accepted the undesired information as "truth", hence their "eyes being open" as the Intruder wanted them to. However there's still a bit of shadow over each of their eye (Mark's right and Adam's left) which could symbolize a bit of denial.
  • Cesar and Jonah: One of their eye is obscured by a shadow. They've been exposed to the undesired information, but they're at least partially in denial, more than Mark and Adam. Their "eyes are open", but still not completely so.

Adam will play an antagonistic role at some point
He's already a rather toxic person, it's possible he'll spiral downwards even further.
  • This is a lot more likely as of "Vol. 4" which implies that Adam is actually an alternate.

Adam is an Alternate Sleeper Agent
The real Adam was replaced by an Alternate when he was just a baby. However, being raised as a human caused him to forget his true nature. Whether this was intentional or not is unknown, but that's why he was targeted in the way he was in Caesar's house. The Intruder is trying to awaken his memories.
  • Heavily implied by "Vol. 4".
    • Basically confirmed in "Mandela Catalyst".

Adam isn't an alternate, he's the same species (?) as whatever the Intruder is actually supposed to be
It's been stated multiple times that the Intruder isn't an alternate, but at the same time it's pretty clear he isn't human. Maybe it's the same for Adam, since he's definitely different from a normal alternate.

Adam wasn't the one sending messages or videos to Sarah
Rather, it was the Intruder. At the end of the memorial video for Jonah, Adam says: "I never said that. It's messing with my words. I don't know what's going on. It's not me- the computer, I swear.". Right after this, there is a section showing how the Alternates can spread via computer programs.

Modern Era Noah will be abandoned to his own luck, much like Adam
In Adam's messages, you can see various characters namedropped. Among them, you can see the Modern Era Noah, who is telling Adam that he's gonna play Left 4 Dead 2. This message wasn't seen until after Jonah, who left Adam for dead, is deleted from Adam's friend list. Who is to say that Noah won't be Left for Dead, too?

    Meta/Other
The series is the result of a literal Alternate History caused by time travelers.
The THINK PSA was created by the "United States Department of Temporal Phenomena". The series itself is called The Mandela Catalogue. It seems likely that someone or something went back to Biblical times and changed something (possibly destroying Noah's Arc, considering the community post), and the Alternates are the byproducts of reality trying and failing to account for the ensuing paradox.

"My Movie.mp4" was originally made by the in-universe Alex Kister
  • Jossed, as the in-universe Alex turned out to be non-canon.

The season 2 episode "333" (teased in a now deleted Youtube community post) will be released on March 3, 13, 23, or 30-31
  • Jossed.
  • Or it could be released on any day with a number 3 in the date...
    • The release date has been confirmed to be June 3.

The "shepherd" that Adam followed is someone who helped him escape wherever the Intruder held him captive at

Assuming Adam is indeed the baby that was kidnapped in "Intruder Alert", though by the time he escaped he would've probably been old enough to willingly follow someone, but still too young to remember what happened.

The "shepherd" title is (most likely) metaphorical; they're either another kidnapped human or a paranormal entity (possibly Mark or Cesar's spirit considering how the Intruder showed them on TV, or maybe even the spirit of Adam's mother).

The upside down TV face in "Vol. 2" is either Adam's mother or a Tulpa that younger Adam met/was forced to create

Likewise the feminine spirit box voice could be the Intruder mimicking either of them.

In a way both could be true: the Tulpa could've been based on Adam's mom because he missed her.

An alternate-worshiping cult exists

At this point its existence wouldn't be too surprising, especially with how Alt!Gabriel tried to get people to worship him and how the series in general is based on Religious Horror.

Bonus points if the cult is made up of the 3% that survived M.A.D. and/or the kidnapped children.

There's reincarnation involved
Though reincarnation isn't exactly a thing in real life Christianity, in the Mandela Catalogue universe Alt!Gabriel is forcing certain people to be reincarnated just to torment them over and over again.
  • Option 1: Adam is a reincarnation of Mark, which could explain why the Intruder tells Adam "you don't remember me" and shows him pictures of Mark. To a lesser extent Jonah may be a reincarnation of Cesar, and Mark/Adam and Cesar/Jonah may also be reincarnations of a duo of major biblical figures (e.g. Abel and Seth, especially if their brother Cain is an alternate now). This one may not work depending on the exact timeline of events and whether Adam is the kidnapped baby in "Intruder Alert" or not.
  • Option 2: Mark, Cesar, Adam, and Jonah are reincarnations of their biblical counterparts. This could be why they get "special" attention/treatment in the tapes (implied to be tampered with by Alt!Gabriel and/or the Intruder), as well as explaining the importance of the animated biblical Adam clip. Likewise any other numbered victims and otherwise important characters that may show up in future episodes could be reincarnations of their biblical counterparts (even if they don't have biblical names, they could still be reincarnations of unnamed figures like the shepherds that encountered Gabriel).
    • Bonus points if the Intruder told Adam about him being a reincarnation of his biblical counterpart and Adam saying "I did the right thing" is referring to his biblical self eating the Forbidden Fruit.
    • When it comes to more than 1 character being named after the same biblical figure, such as Thatcher Davis and Dave Lee both being named after David, either 1. only one of them is a reincarnation while the other is just a Mirror Character of the biblical figure, or 2. the soul has been split apart and reincarnated into two different people.

The world of Mandela Catalogue is a simulation
"God" is actually a likely morally gray or even blue and orange entity (who may or may not even be human) running the simulation in the first place; this is why there's seemingly no intervention from God despite the alternates causing chaos, because the runner of the simulation is interested in observing how things will pan out. All the humans, alternates/demons, angels, etc. within the simulation are sentient AIs, with the alternates being aware of the true nature of themselves and the world and spreading the knowledge to others (giving them M.A.D.). The alternates have text-to-speech/glitchy voices and speak in binary because they've embraced their true identities as artificial intelligence. Alternatively, alternates are AIs that have been infected with some kind of virus.

And some of the characters that were dead/got M.A.D. in the previous timeline, now alive and well, will talk about strange memories of shapeshifting demons taking over the world and impersonating their loved ones.

If a 6th volume is ever made, the title will be "Vol. 666"

This teaser is based on an alternate classification system different from the one made by the Department of Temporal Phenomena

Possibly created/used by Thatcher or someone else. Based on how Alex changed his Twitter header to an image of the Mandela County Police Department on the same day he posted the teaser, they may have had something to do with the creation of the new classification system.

Whoever made this new system lumped the Doppelgangers, Flawed Impersonators and Mimics into one category ("The Facade") and reclassified Alt!Gabriel and the Intruder as "The Observer" (likely due to Alt!Gabriel's seeming lack of activity in the modern times) and "The Thief" respectively. As for "The Preacher", this category may be referring to alternates that give people M.A.D., by "preaching" undesired information to them. The creator of the new classification system likely acknowledges the overlap between these categories.

This classification system may even be called the "Mandela Catalogue" in-universe, cataloging the alternates that are active within Mandela County.

There are no humans
With most of humanity being wiped out with the flood, the Alternates barely survived by infiltrating the Ark. They ended up killing and replacing the remaining humans either during or shortly after the flood. The humans we see in the series are simply alternates who copied humans too well, gaining not just there physical appearances but there capacity for thought and virtue, causing them to abandon Satan and start believing they genuinely were human. This is why no alternate is a perfect replica- all of the ones that could achieve perfect imitation switch sides.

The K in T.H.I.N.K is actually Know your place in reality
Now, alternates are powerful. You know what makes you more vulnerable? Being too cocky. So it means "Don't get too cocky, these bitches are powerful!". The intruder/Whoever altered the tapes only did the "Kill yourself" K in T.H.I.N.K.

There will be a total of 6 seasons/volumes

The series timeline will chronologically end in December 21st, 2012.
Were it be in an apocalyptic fashion or in a scenario that makes it seem as though humanity really doesn't stand a chance this time. Bonus points if Satan is involved directly.

Odd-numbered volumes focus on Mark and Cesar; even-numbered volumes focus on Adam and Jonah
Vol. 333 clearly focuses on Mark and Cesar for a good portion, with Adam and Jonah (who showed up in Vol 2) not showing up (In-universe too, given that the events of Vol. 333 happened a few decades before Vol. 2). It's likely that when Vol. 4 comes, the focus shifts back to Adam and Jonah, either expanding on their pasts and/or exploring the aftermath of their current fates at the end of Vol. 2.
  • Judging by the teaser for vol.4 that was just released, this appears to be true.

Adolf Hitler had an alternate
That's why he did what he did, he wasn't just inhumanly evil, he was literally inhuman.

There's some kind of prophecy involved

Well, prophecies are a thing in Christianity so why not?

Given their prominence in the story, Mark, Sarah, Cesar, Adam, Jonah and Thatcher (and possibly any other characters that may later turn out to be important) may be involved in the prophecy in some way, whether as The Chosen One, Apocalypse Maiden, or another significant role. Depending on what kind of prophecy it is, the alternates could be trying to either prevent it from happening or actively make sure it's fulfilled (or both, if it's an Either/Or Prophecy). Even the "undesired information" that gives people M.A.D. may have at least partially to do with the prophecy. If the prophecy is beneficial to the alternates, it may or may not have been made up by Alt!Gabriel.

The series will have Multiple Endings
In at least one of the endings, the characters will have faint memories of the other endings, which they'll dismiss as a Mandela Effect.

At least one of the episodes will take place in hell itself
Like how alternates aren't depicted as big red demons with horns and wings, the hell of Mandela Catalogue may not be your average Fire and Brimstone Hell either.

The exact moment that history started pivoting from its natural course was when Jesus gave into temptation through Satan.
While Jesus is divine, it's important to know that he's also part human. Satan (aka Alt!Gabriel) concocted a plan to try and "overthrow" Jesus which all hinged on him giving into temptation, therefore engaging in sin and forsaking his divinity. Jesus failed the test and was trapped in the desert as a result.

With the revelation that Adam was replaced with an Alternate prior to the events of the series, it stands to reason that any children they produced would be a mix of Alternate and human. Abel tried to infect Cain with MAD but somehow screwed up the process and Cain ended up killing his brother instead of himself.

If there's ever a Christmas Special, it'll be a remake of Overthrone.
I mean, it's pretty obvious why this would be. Overthrone tells us a twisted version of Jesus' birth, which was, of course, in Christmas. Bonus points if it's in a new style altogether and uses the new voice actors from Volume 4.
