Trivia / 101 Dalmatian Street

Go To

  • All-Star Cast: The show is definitely shaping up to be this, what with Josh Brener and Michaela Dietz playing the leads alongside many well known UK actors, including Michelle Gomez as Cruella de Vil.
  • Children Voicing Children: Most of the Dalmatian puppies are voiced by actual children.
  • Creator's Favourite Episode: Director Jez Hall named "Fear Window" as his favorite episode to work on, whilst Michaela Dietz named "Poodlefall!" as her favorite.
  • Disabled Character, Disabled Actor: Delgado is a puppy in a wheelchair like his voice actor Jack Binstead.
  • Follow the Leader: The show's premise of focusing on a large family with Alliterative Name theming sounds quite a lot like The Loud House. Ironically, this show is much closer to the original pitch of The Loud House and What Could Have Been for that show, as it was originally meant to revolve around a rabbit and his many siblings.
  • International Coproduction: This show is produced between British and Canadian animation studios.
  • Lying Creator: For a while it was stated by the creators (and recited in the One of Us review) that Cruella de Vil wouldn't be in this series as she'd likely be dead. Lo and behold, they lied.
  • Missing Episode:
    • In Latin America, the episode "Crushed Out" was skipped over in favor of "Girls' Day Out," likely because of the harassment undertones and how serious that stuff is treated over there. However, the episode did eventually air in September 2019.
    • As the show also airs on Disney Junior in the UK, it is no surprise that some episodes would be prevented from airing. One of them is yet again "Crushed Out."
  • Out of Order: Despite "A Summer to Remember" being the 15th episode produced, it was the 13th episode aired in the UK. France and Belgium had it slightly worse - there, it aired as the 12th episode. Likewise, "Puppy Dreams" was the 24th episode to air, despite it being the last one in production order.
  • Sequel Gap: It's the first 101 Dalmatians TV series in twenty years (after 101 Dalmatians: The Series) and the first new entry outside of crossovers since 2003, making for fifteen years since new material has been added to the franchise.
  • Short Run in Peru: The show is British-Canadian, but even then it still follows suit with this trope, as most episodes air early in other European countries such as Belgium, France, and Germany days or months before they air in the UK. Some examples include:
    • "Boom Night" was aired early in the Middle East and South Africa the same day "Dog's Best Friend" previewed in the UK.
    • The first seven episodes (excluding the first) aired earlier in Germany. Some of these also aired early in France and Belgium.
    • "All Fired Up" was released 12 days early on a Hungarian VOD service.
    • The tenth episode first released in France, the Netherlands, and Belgium on May 16, 2019. The UK would not receive these episodes until August!
    • "A Summer to Remember" was aired 10 days early in France.
    • Every episode from the 18th to the 21st aired early elsewhere (the 18th through the 20th in Italy, the 21st in Belgium).
    • Finally, the last four episodes of season 1 aired a day early in Belgium.
  • Unspecified Role Credit: The end credits of the first episode only list the voice actors for Dolly, Dylan, and their parents. Everyone else is credited under "additional voices. The other episodes tend to credit the main or focus characters of an episode. Other than the main characters, however, everyone else who is mostly ensemble in an episode is still credited under "additional voices."
