"What are you planning to do about the... END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT?!?"

Per wiki policy, Spoilers Off applies to Moments pages. All spoilers are unmarked!

  • The nightmares start right from the title sequence. At one point, it shows Dylan and Dolly running with a strange shape in the background. By the end of the season, we realize what that shape is: Cruella de Vil's head.
  • "Power to the Puppies" features a few unsettling shots of Dante's deranged eyes, as shown on the page image.
  • Dolly's angry face when she is attacking Dylan and Roxy with a hose in "Perfect Match." Even without the context of the situation, Dolly still looks pretty terrifying.
  • Bessie attempting to kill off the Dalmatian family several times in "A Summer to Remember"... and getting away with it scot-free.
  • Holy cow, "Doggy Da Vinci" has this in spades. Poor Da Vinci experiences an anxiety attack coupled with hallucinations, seeing gathering crowds as clouds of black smoke with glowing white eyes and grabbing hands.
    • Thought the black clouds with white eyes and hands were bad? Concept art of the episode is available for viewing online, some of which include the above mentioned scene. One of these sticks out the most, showing Da Vinci instead being pursued by a cluster of demonic humanoid faces with glowing red eyes, looking more like something out of a Junji Ito manga. One can only imagine how the scene would've played out if this concept was used. The use of red splotches in the frame that almost resemble blood certainly doesn't help.
    • Her painting of everyone pressuring her to continue painting shirts is also somewhat disturbing.
  • "It's My Party"
  • "London, We Have a Problem"
  • "Dante's Inferno"
    • Hunter was trapped in that crate for six months, forced to survive on only kibble and water. By the time he gets out, he's acting like a dog. And he continues to switch between human behavior and dog behavior for the rest of the season.
    • Even worse? Cruella doesn't care.
    • So many of Hunter's expressions, showing just how far his sanity has dipped. From his various Slasher Smiles, to his unhinged laughter. At one point he even gives a Thousand-Yard Stare after realizing he can understand Dante's pleas for help.
  • "Better The De Vil You Know"
    • The scene on the bus where Hunter nearly succeeds at capturing the puppies.
    • Hunter's ultimate defeat, wherein Dylan throws a squeak-toy at his head, triggering him to revert back into "dog mode." The way his pupil expands before he drops to all fours barking madly is... deeply unsettling.
  • "The De Vil Wears Puppies"
    • Chalk the last minutes of Part 1 and the beginning of Part 2 as a successful home invasion, only leaving Dylan and Dolly to try and rescue them.
    • There's the nigh-constant Slasher Smile Cruella has throughout Part 1. It's as though she got a heavy dose of Joker venom and yet is somehow still alive despite the rictus grin. Worst still is The Un-Smile she gives Hunter when he objects to her in Part 2: it's less like a smile and more like her mouth independently begins stretching in random directions.
    • Cruella in general. She's so old as to be unnatural: she has to use a formula on her skin otherwise it seems to literally crack off of her, her body moves and jerks in a vaguely inhuman way even when just walking from place to place, and everything she does comes with a slew of unsettling creaking and snapping sounds. At this point, she's arguably almost a Humanoid Abomination.
    • Even worse is that she's learned from last time. She no longer sees the puppies as simply animals for her to skin, she knows they are as intelligent as humans and her plan to capture them treats them like that. She isn't interested in the Dalmatian family simply because there's enough of them for her coat, she targets them because some of the puppies are descendants of Pongo and Perdita's fifteen puppies. This is about revenge against them, just like she had Jasper and Horace steal the puppies as revenge for Roger and Anita not selling them to her in the first place.
    • Cruella's death machine for the puppies is no slouch, either. She sends Dawkins' Princess Positron doll through it. The doll is drowned, sliced, and ultimately ejected as only a ball of hair with a detached eye. And she wanted Dorothy to be the first to go, and was holding Doug and Delilah hostage so they could helplessly watch their children die before they go next.
    • Cruella rather casually stating that once they reach international waters, they'll dump the puppies remains. And then she orders Hunter to be thrown in with the puppies, since she's now bored with him. Fortunately, this inspires Hunter's Heel–Face Turn.
    • Cruella sadistically explaining to Hunter that "fur isn't simply detachable" while yanking on his hair for emphasis.
      • Hunter's realization of how horrible Cruella's plans for the puppies are leads to him calling her a monster. She gives him a Grinch-like smile and thanks him for the compliment.
    • The close up of the last nightmarish face Cruella makes right before being sucked into her own death machine. The skin on her face finally cracks completely.
