"Things are looking down for Krystal, as she's once again single. Thankfully, her old friends, Miyu Lynx and Fay Spaniel are there to help! They're taking her to a fancy hotel on Aquas, where she might find her third chance at love (as well as have some fun in the sun). However, there are three problems. The fact that Wario is running the place, the fact that Fay's ex-girlfriend works there, and there's a new threat in the form of mutated piranha...that can fly."

  • A Day in the Limelight: This story has Krystal, along with her friends Fay and Miyu, as the central characters of the story.
  • All Your Powers Combined: In a last-ditch move to survive the ship exploding, Krystal tells everyone to join hands and uses all of her might to make a psychic barrier that protects everyone from the explosion.
  • Asshole Victim: Steph, who was emotionally abusive to both of her girlfriends and later tried to kill Miyu out of envy.
  • Attack of the Town Festival: Despite our heroes best efforts, they're unable to stop the mutated piranhas from attacking the Space Grunion festival and kill several patrons. (Largely thanks to Wario).
  • Bad Liar: When Krystal tries to lie to Fay and Miyu about her feelings by saying that she's just had a bad day, she's immediately found out since Fay can smell when people are lying.
  • Big "NO!": Steph shouts one when desperately trying to shoot down Miyu's suggestion of flushing out the mutated piranhas.
  • Big "OMG!": Wario once again has this reaction, this time waking up just in time to realize the ship he's on is about to explode.
  • Big "WHAT?!": Krystal gives one to Navi's rapid-fire badgering of "HEY!LISTEN!"
  • Bittersweet Ending: While our heroes were able to kill both the mutated piranhas and the space pirates and Krystal ends up with a new girlfriend, the mutated piranhas were still able to kill several of the patrons during the Space Grunion event and Wario is left to deal with the lawsuits.
  • Bond Villain Stupidity: When Steph tases Miyu underwater, rather than just take off her scuba mask to ensure she'd drown or use another way to kill her, she leaves her there and dumps a bag of explosives with her. Miyu manages to survive and uses them to cause her and the space pirates' demise.
  • The Bus Came Back: Krystal, Wario, and bizarrely enough, Bubsy all make a return in this story.
  • Call-Back: When Wario dismisses his last interaction with Krystal as not important, she calls him out for jeopardizing the multiverse with his impulsiveness.
    • When Fay bemoans having to deal with idiotic bosses, she recalls how Wario nearly doomed the universe during the Tabuu incident.
  • The Cameo: Among those that show up in Krystal's failed dates montage in chapter 3 include previous Arena contestant Bubsy, The Eggplant Wizard, Navi, and King Tatanga.
    • Wario bribes Mr. Shine in the last chapter to make night come faster.
  • Chain of People: When Fay is about to fall into the ocean, Krystal jumps out to grab her, which then has Stellas grab her by the tail to save them from falling.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Steph hasn't gotten over her breakup with Fay and gets pissed whenever she sees Fay enjoying herself with Miyu. To the point that when Miyu and Steph go alone to blow up the mutated piranhas, she tazes Miyu and leaves her to die.
  • Cute Mute: Stellas, who despite her appearance, is a gentle soul that can't speak due the transformative energies singing parts of her vocal chords when she was transported to the Nintendo Universe.
  • Damsel in Distress: In the last chapter, Fay is captured by Steph and the Space Pirates, forcing Krystal, Stellas, and Wario to go up to a Space Pirate ship to rescue her. Steph later attempts to use her as a bargaining chip to force our heroes to grab the treasure in the wrecked ship.
  • Darkness Equals Death: The mutated piranhas only attack at night, since they're nocturnal creatures. Wouldn't be too bad except that the Space Grunion event is taking place at night, the event is outside, and they can fly.
    • When Steph accidentally fries the controls to the Space Pirate ship, it causes the ship to go dark. She's then immediately attacked by a mutated piranha.
  • Diabolus ex Machina: When Krystal and Stellas come up with a plan to stop the mutated piranhas from attacking everyone at the Space Grunion Night, they think they have hours to spare so long as it doesn't get dark anytime soon. It then quite suddenly turns to night thanks to Wario bribing Mr. Shine.
  • Diabolus ex Nihilo: The Space Pirates, who outside of a mention regarding a different incident at the beginning, aren't hinted at being involved in this at all. Unless you read the tags that is.
  • Devoured by the Horde: What happens to most victims of the mutated piranhas.
  • Didn't Think This Through: While Steph is holding Fay overboard and gets distracted by the treasure chest, Fay manages to claw through her bindings and punches Steph in the face... while she is still held overboard, causing her to free-fall, shouting this as she falls. Fortunately, she's rescued by Krystal and Stellas before she would've been eaten.
    • When Fay asks what happens now that the ship is falling, Miyu admits she didn't think that far ahead, as she spent most of her time evading the mutant piranhas and laying the explosives all over the ship.
  • Eye Scream: One of the mutated piranhas on the ship bites right through one of Steph's eyes.
  • FacePalm: Stellas does this over Wario making it nighttime while the mutated piranhas are still a threat.
  • Gentle Giant: Stellas, who despite her physical appearance and a lack of an ability to speak, is a kind person.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: When the mutated piranhas eat the couple in chapter 1, they chew their bodies in half.
  • Heartbroken Badass: Krystal in the beginning is miserable following yet another failed relationship, this time with Desantra. It affects her normal routine in significant ways. Fortunately, she gets better once she lands on Aquas.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: While not fatal on his end, Wario's decision to make it night come faster for the patrons before the mutated piranhas were dealt with results in the deaths of several of the patrons, which results in him dealing with lawsuits from the survivors and the future of his hotel uncertain.
  • If We Get Through This…: As the ship is plummeting, Stellas tells Krystal that if they make it through this, she would like to go on another date with her.
  • Impromptu Tracheotomy: When the mutated piranha inside of Jeff's body bursts out to try and attack Fay, it comes out from his neck.
    • The first victim of the Space Grunion massacre has a mutated piranha divebomb onto their neck.
  • Interspecies Romance: Krystal (a space fox anthro) has this with Stellas (a stegosaurus anthro). There's also Fay (a spaniel anthro) and Miyu (a Lynx anthro), with her ex, Steph (a doberman anthro), showing up as well.
  • Kick the Dog: When Steph enters the nightclub, she berates Stellas for 'watching whores' instead of standing guard at her hotel room in front of everyone. And when a patron calls out her behavior, she tazes him. And when she takes Stellas back to her hotel room, she grabs her by the beak.
  • Killed Offscreen: The sea captain who was driving the boat Krystal and Stellas were on, who gets chowed on by the mutated piranhas while they were having sex.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: When Krystal and Stellas telepathically formulate a plan to stop the mutated piranhas, Fay has to ask what they're saying since she isn't psychic.
  • Madness Mantra: To explain the sheer monotony that Krystal had to endure when Wario subjects her to a game of Hotel Mario:
Wario: "Come on, you mutt! If Mario can make an exciting hotel game, so can I!"
"I'm pretty sure that was his LEAST favorite adventure!" Krystal shouted as she rushed from door to door, slamming them shut, only for every door she went through to get to other doors to get her away from her destined door which would allow other doors she closed to open while she tried to get more doors doors doors DOORS DOORS DOORS DOOOOOOOOOOOORS!

    DOORS!
  • Making Love in All the Wrong Places: Krystal and Stellas have sex on a boat in chapter four. Not that the captain minds, since he gets killed by the mutated piranhas.
  • The Missus and the Ex: When Miyu and Fay's ex-girlfriend Steph run into each other on Aquas, they immediately start butting heads. And it only gets worse from there.
  • Moment Killer: Krystal's dance in front of the patrons (particularly Stellas) at the nightclub is ruined by Steph entering and chastising Stellas for 'watching whores' instead of guarding her hotel room and taking her back.
    • Krystal's intimate moment with Stellas in chapter 4 is ruined by the mutated piranhas attacking them and killing the boat captain.
  • Monster Delay: The mutated piranhas, while they appear in the first chapter, don't surface above the water as they kill the couple. One makes its first full appearance when one bursts out of Jeff's body and attempts to kill Fay and Miyu.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Fay is horrified to discover that her new boss, Wario, had put the multiverse in jeopardy twice.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Wario, out of impatience, bribes Mr. Shine to make it suddenly nighttime, which leads to the mutated piranhas attacking before our heroes can plan on how to stop them and the deaths of several patrons.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: After Steph tases Miyu, she dumps explosives into the water with Miyu. Since Miyu was able to survive, she plants the explosives around the ship, which makes it explode.
  • "No. Just… No" Reaction: When the Eggplant Wizard asks Krystal if she's ready to have an eggplant fill her every hole, Krystal's response is a blunt "How about NO?!"
  • No Name Given: Jeff's girlfriend and the calico student who comes across Jeff's corpse. Downplayed for Jeff, whose name isn't given until Fay and Miyu examine his body.
  • Night Swim Equals Death: The first victims of the mutated piranhas are a Skinny Dipping couple who snuck out at night to have sex in an off-limits shipwreck and are eaten by them.
  • Offscreen Breakup: Krystal and Desantra broke up sometime in between after the first season and this story from Desantra focusing on her job.
  • Oh, Crap!: Steph says this verbatim after she accidentally fries the controls to the ship.
  • Peek-a-Boo Corpse: When Fay's calico student swims closer to the wreckage, what remains of Jeff's body lazily floats to her until it gets close enough for her to notice what it is and instantly panics.
  • Porn with Plot: This is a story of Krystal and her friends trying to stop a swarm of mutated piranhas from killing everyone at Wario's hotel. There's also a few moments where the girls have some "fun" on their vacation.
  • Precision F-Strike: When Steph fires Stellas for not keeping everyone off her back, Steph grabs a napkin and hastily writes to her "I ALREADY QUIT, BITCH!"
  • Psychic Link: Krystal develops one with Stellas in the story, which allows her to have conversations with her, as she's otherwise mute.
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: The subplot of Krystal finding a new girlfriend comes from Desantra's artist, Deathhydra, vanishing from social media. Out of respect for the artist, the author wrote Desantra out of the series by having her and Krystal break up as a result of her being Married to the Job.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The loud jackass Steph is the red oni to the kind but mute Stellas' blue oni.
  • Right Through the Wall: Krystal, overhearing some noises coming from Fay and Miyu's room and pressing her ear to the wall, overhears them having sex.
  • Self-Disposing Villain: When the treasure chest is opened and three mutated piranhas jump out, the Space Pirates and Steph destroy the ship's control panel in their panic. This causes the ship to crash and the explosives to go off. It also has the benefit of killing all of the mutated piranhas.
  • Sex Signals Death: The couple in the opening who sneak out at night to have sex in a ship wreck, and are the first victims of the mutated piranhas.
    • According to Miyu, the Space Grunion Night is when a bunch of space fish wash up onto shore to breed, where the patrons then go at them like zombies.
  • Single-Biome Planet: Planet Aquas, which is covered in 97% water thanks to an attack by a sea monster and the ice caps melting.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: The calico student of Fay, who despite not even being given a name is the one to inform the coast guards of the bodies of the victims in chapter one, which in turn leads to the heroes discovering the mutated piranhas much sooner than they would have otherwise.
  • Suit with Vested Interests: On two fronts:
    • First, there's Wario, obviously. He wants to keep the Space Gurion going, even when faced with evidence of the mutated piranhas that will kill the patrons, due to all the money he could make off of it. The heroes even try to argue to Wario that all the dead tourists would be bad for business, but he doesn't get it until it's too late.
    • And then there's Steph, who also argues against canceling the Space Grunion Night, but so she can use it as a distraction so she can take the treasure from the shipwreck, which she'll use to pay her debt to the Space Pirates.
  • Take That!: Among the games Wario forces Krystal to test includes a game of Hotel Mario, which is considered "Mario's least favorite/liked adventure" by Krystal and Fay.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: Krystal has this mood when she discovers that the new manager of the hotel is Wario.
  • Touché: Among the reasons Fay considers Miyu a better girlfriend than Steph is that she doesn't blow up at the drop of a hat. To which Steph suddenly starts yelling at her, and then realizes what she's doing and considers the point taken.
  • Two-Person Pool Party: The story begins with Jeff and his girlfriend diving into an off-limits ship wreck to have sex in an air pocket it provides. Unfortunately, not long into their sexual rendezvous, the mutated piranhas tear into the both of them.
  • Under New Management: By the time Krystal gets to the hotel on Aquas, Wario has taken over the hotel for a while and is currently changing the name from "Hotel Elysium" to "Hotel Wario".
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Garlic for Wario, to the point of making a cake and later a statue of himself out of it.
  • Vacation Episode: The story has Fay and Miyu take Krystal to the planet Aquas for a vacation to help Krystal get back on her feet and to possibly find love again. Unfortunately, their vacation is threatened by a swarm of mutated flying piranhas that threaten to eat everyone if they're not stopped.
  • Verbal Backspace: As Wario is introducing Krystal and Miyu to his hotel, he welcomes them as suckers and then quickly switches it to customers.
    • He does this again after bribing Mr. Shine:
Wario: "Thanks a ton, Mr. Shine! Now, go back to your feud with Mr. Bright or something. I don't care. Have a rotten day-I mean...night."
  • Victoria's Secret Compartment: To pull out some piranha teeth out of Jeff's body, Fay takes out a pair of tweezers from between her breasts.
  • Visual Pun: The female doberman Steph, who turns out to be a massive bitch.
  • Working with the Ex: Fay discovers that her ex, Steph, is also working at the hotel she's at, much to her dismay.
  • Whole-Plot Reference: This story has Krystal, her friends, Fay and Miyu, and Wario recreate the story of Piranha Part Two: The Spawning.
