"It may be almost the end of school, but class is in session for these combatants! Can they survive in a school infested by tentacle monsters?"

The 28th episode, written in May of 2023. The teams are as follows...

-Team 1 (Baskerra Hellmane): Ultraman 80, Principal Pixiefrog, Mr. Lancer, and Marty Rantzen.

-Team 2 (A Fan): Gundham Tanaka, Kris, Susie, and Noelle.

-Team 3 (Nighthawk87): Bernadetta Von Varley, Catti, Korekiyo Shinguji, and Mina Ashido.

-Team 4 (Buddhe): Ivy Pepper, Melisandre Higginbottom (OC), Nedzu, and Rexy.

-Team 5 (Plebian Garbage): Kirika Misono (Eiken), Waai Fu, Rei Miyamoto, and Hitori Gotou.

-Team 6 (Eboness the Eternal): Edd, Kagura, Brooke Reed (Jay Naylor OC), and The Magic School Bus.

-Team 7 (SomeAngstyDude): Agatha Trunchbull, Master Shifu, Mr. Crocker, and Mrs. Puff.

-Team 8 (PFC Alexei Ralan): Braix, Rio (Diives' Pokémon OCs), Tsuyu Asui, and Ochako Uraraka.

  • Accidental Murder: While driving the Magic School Bus to the school in the Bloodbath, Kagura ends up running over Rio and burns Waai Fu to ashes with the Bus' rocket thrust.
  • A God Am I: After absorbing the lifeforce of all the victims around her, Marybeth admits to the remaining contestants of planning of making a new race, which will be superior to all civilizations before her's. She even says she feels like a God right now.
  • Animal Jingoism: In the Team Introductions, Ivy (an anthro cat) apologizes for sneaking up of Nedzu (a talking mouse), wanting to pounce on him for some reason.
  • Animorphism: A Basky Bug bites Rei in the middle of the second night and turns her into a gazelle anthro. And this transformation sticks when she ends up winning in the Arena.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: The problems Mr. Crocker mentions in his Team Introduction includes different worlds, a random disaster, and him being interrupted from giving out a fresh batch of Fs to his students.
  • Aside Comment: When Master Shifu tells Rei that he may have found a way to escape, she demands he tell her before turning to the audience and saying "I can't believe I'm talking to a panda right now."
  • Ascended Meme: Susie's first line is her asking Kris "WHERE THE FUCK ARE WE?!", a reference to the GOD FUCKING dammit Kris where the FUCK are we? meme that went huge after the second chapter of Deltarune released.
  • Avenging the Villain: Gundham, self-proclaimed Evil Overlord, tells his hamsters to avenge him before he's killed by a tentacle worm.
  • Barrier-Busting Blow: Chapter 2 begins with Trunchbull slamming her fist through a door and grabbing Teacher Telephone through the wall and gives her a No Holds Barred Beat Down for some 'stress relief'.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Tsuyu and Ochako rescue Jock when he gets cornered by Marty and Vernon on the first day.
    • After a nail from Pixiefrog's nailgun hits Nedzu in the leg, stopping him in his tracks, Pixiefrog begins to line up a perfect kill-shot. That's when Mr. Lancar smashes Pixiefrog with an encyclopedia, saving Nedzu's life.
  • Big Ball of Violence: When Ultraman 80 and Jock attempt to fight Trunchbull on the fourth day, Jock mistimes his jump and accidentally collides with 80 and in the confusion fights the Ultraman, with the ball of violence headed towards The Magic School Bus.
  • Big "NO!": Sheila yells one after Juno gets killed.
  • Big "SHUT UP!": Rei yells this to Korekiyo after he makes a disturbing comment about hoping his sister will enjoy Noelle being turned into a meal for a tentacle worm.
  • The Blade Always Lands Pointy End In: When Debo Kibishydesu aims his electric pointer at Rei, she shoots it off and it goes flying in the air. When it comes down, it lands on Debo's head, killing him.
  • Big "WHAT?!": Rio's reaction when Tsuyu tells him and Braix that they could die a horrible death here.
  • Bring My Brown Pants: When a tentacle monster lunges at Gundham only to get several arrows fired into it by Bernadetta, Gundham expresses that luck has struck for him once more. And that he may need to change his pants.
  • Broken Record: Hitori's teammates notice that she sounds like one where she keeps repeating 'and' in her panic.
  • The Bus Came Back: Tsuyu Asui, Ochako Uraraka, Haru, Juno, and Mrs. Mayberry return from previous Arenas, with Kagura and Sheila returning after being in a side-story.
    • Bus Crash: Unfortunately for Haru and Juno, they end up being some of the first casualties of the episode.
  • Call-Back: When introducing Brooke, the narration mentions her having been sent to the same place Alicia had gone to and would have talked about in detail if they still talked to each other.
  • Chainsaw Good: When Mrs. Mayberry participates in the battle with Marybeth, she shows up with a chainsaw to fight her and her monsters. After Mayberry gets killed, Rei grabs her chainsaw and uses it to drill a hole straight through Marybeth’s head.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Rei, Tsuyu, Ochako, and Braix consider going further down the school to find the source of the monsters, but decide to find others that could need help first.
  • Clothing Damage: When Noelle gets attacked by a tentacle worm, her shirt gets ripped open, exposing her bra.
  • Collateral Damage: During the Bloodbath, several helicopters rain missiles down at the monsters on the ground. However this also means that several of the contestants get killed by them too.
  • Comically Missing the Point: When Brooke (an anthro racoon) and Kagura (a human) are arguing, Brooke calls Kagura a hairless bimbo. To which Kagura calls her stupid for since she has hair on her head.
  • Commonality Connection: Agatha Trunchbull and Debo Kibishydesu of all people manage to have an amicable conversation with each other over how to discipline children on the second night.
  • Curse Cut Short: Catti's only line in this episode is "What the fu-" before being blown up by Debo's explosive bullets.
  • Deadly Deferred Conversation: In chapter 3 Shifu tells Rei that he may have found a way to escape. But before he can elaborate, he rushes off, finding something that got his attention. In the next chapter, Before he can tell anyone else, he gets dragged beneath the school by a tentacle creature. While he does escape that, he's killed by Marybeth before he could say what he found to anyone.
  • Defeat Equals Explosion: After Rei drills a hole through Marybeth's head, the parasites in her can't control her body anymore, and explode.
  • Defensive "What?": While overhearing Shifu finding a possible escape from the school, he destroys a snack machine and takes a protein bar. When Rei looks at him, he says this and justifies it by claiming school's out.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Kibo Kibishydesu fires his pencil machine-gun at everyone he can find in the Bloodbath for being 'late' on this 'field trip'.
  • Distinction Without a Difference: When Edd tries to assure Kagura he has no perverse intentions with her since she's homosexual, Kagura says she isn't gay, she's gal-sexual. To which Edd tries to point out that it's the same thing, but gives up on it.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: When Raven is fighting Debo Kibishydesu and Susie, she takes a moment to compliment Susie's ass. After Susie thanks Raven, she uses the opportunity to kick her in the loins.
  • The Door Slams You: After watching Brooke and Kagura get taken to their deaths, he wonders who his sister will play with if he doesn't kill them. That's when Jock opens the door, offering to let her babysit some kids his girlfriend does, accidentally smacking the door on Korekiyo and knocking him out.
  • Double Entendre: Melissa asks her team in the introductions if they want to pass the time with 'special lessons'.
  • Dropped a Bridge on Him: Mina gets a helicopter dropped on her, Catti and Juno are felled by Kibo's pencil machine-gun bullets, Haru and Kirika get blown up by a missile, Sheila and the Red Prince are crushed by a giant book, Rio gets run over by The Magic School Bus, and Waai Fu is Reduced to Dust by The Magic School Bus' rocket thrust in the Bloodbath.
  • Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: Edd begins his team introduction saying he’s been trapped in a space/time distortion, with him noting they match the descriptions that Ed gave him. He quickly realizes that he's in an Arena, much to his horror.
    Edd: "I can't do that! I'm a pacifist! What kind of sadistic monster would thrust innocent souls into a gladiatorial display of cruelty and gore?!"
  • Five-Second Foreshadowing: In the first day portion of the second chapter, It's mentioned that Bernadetta is passed by the only full team left, that being team 12. By the end of the chapter, every team except for #12 loses at least one member.
  • Game-Breaking Bug: Hitori dies when the place she was hiding in suddenly begins to glitch out, with her unable to escape and glitches out of existence. The same thing later happens to Tsuyu.
  • Genre Savvy: Zig-zagged with Genre Blind: When Ochako considers following the tentacles that took Marty and Vernon, Jock points out that in horror movies they either never come back the same or are eaten. He then decides to go alone to find a water fountain.
  • Groin Attack: After Raven compliments Susie's ass, Susie thanks her, and then kicks Raven in the loins.
  • Godzilla Threshold: In the first night, while discussing with his team on how to deal with the danger this school is bringing them, Pixiefrog brings up him calling his lawyers and have them rip the place to bits, which he considers his 'nuclear option'.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: When The Magic School Bus explodes, it causes the gym doors to go flying, with Raven getting bisected by the doors.
    • Marybeth kills Mr. Lancer by grabbing him and then chomping him into two.
  • Harmless Freezing: Noelle manages to end what would have been the fight between Trunchbull with Debo Kibishydesu and Susie by turning the villains into ice cubes, with them frozen for the remainder of the night, but are fine in the morning.
  • He Knows Too Much: Marybeth kills Master Shifu because they both figured out the secret of this school. And since Marybeth wants to use the tentacles for her plans, she doesn't want Shifu blabbing about it to anyone before her plans come to fruition.
  • Heroic BSoD: Braix gets into a Troubled Fetal Position following Rio's death.
  • Hope Spot: When a missile lands near Team 11, Haru gets obliterated by it and sends shrapnel to Shelia. Fortunately all that happens to Sheila is that she gets some singed fur and knocked out. Before she can get back up however, a giant book caused by Hazel's Final Smash lands on and crushes her.
  • I Am Big Boned: When Susie and Trunchbull get into a fight, Susie taunts Trunchbull by claiming she heard her fatass coming a mile away. To which Trunchbull retorts back "I am NOT fat! I'm STOUT!".
  • If My Calculations Are Correct: Edd's first sentence has him state "According to my calculations...I've been trapped through yet another space/time distortion!"
  • Impaled With Extremeprejudice: When Trunchbull pops Mrs. Puff, the spines sent from her body impale Korekiyo.
    • Marybeth kills Trunchbull in the final chapter by summoning a tentacle from underground to ram into her.
  • Implausible Deniability: Kagura attempts to blame Brooke for the crazy bus drive and the driving wheel breaking off, despite being in the driver's seat at this time.
  • In the Dreaming Stage of Grief: Mr. Lancer spends the episode thinking this Arena is just a bad dream he's having.
  • Karmic Butt-Monkey: Korekiyo, whose frequent attempts to kill the other contestants so his sister can have friends in the afterlife are always foiled.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: In the bloodbath, when Mina announces she's going to stop Teacher Telephone, a helicopter crushes her and then explodes.
    • When the Red Prince notices the giant book that’s about to land on him, he only has time to shout "What in the-?!" before it crushes him.
    • During all the chaos occurring in the Bloodbath, Kirika comments that she wishes someone brought a video camera, but gets blown up by a missile before she can finish her sentence.
    • On the first day Mr. Crocker mistakes Shifu for a fairy-related creature and begins planning on taking his power for himself. Before he can say what he was gonna use the power for however, a tentacle creature bursts through the ground and eats him.
    • On the third day after Kris saves Bernadetta from Korekiyo attempting to murder her, she thanks her rescuer and talks to them about deciding something. Before she can say what to decide on, Trunchbull pops Mrs. Puff, with the shockwave of air and sound reducing her and Kris to skeletons.
    • After Marybeth kills Mr. Lancer, Nedzu makes her a priority target and rushes at her. And as he's talking about what to do if he can get close, Trunchbull steps on him.
    • And after Noelle makes a giant snowflake while fighting Marybeth, as she's saying it cost so much magic and she can't keep up, a tentacle splatters her.
  • Killed Offscreen: When a wall of tentacle worms comes charging at Kagura and Brooke, Rexy's bones are seen scattered around it.
    • When Rei wakes up after the fall the remaining contestants had at the end of the fifth chapter, the first thing she notices is the discarded head of Teacher Telephone.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: When Jock gets cornered by Marty and Vernon, Marty decides to make a joke about Jock's situation, which he doesn't find funny.
    Marty Rantzen: "Think you're big talk? Well, the bigger they are, the louder they SCREAM!"
    Jock: "Boo! Pun sucked!"
    • When Hazel sneak attacks Teacher Telephone with a book, she jokes "About time somebody threw the book at you.". All she gets are groans from the still trapped Mrs. Mayberry and Raven.
  • Late-Arrival Spoiler: That Korekiyo is obsessed with killing people to give his dead sister friends to play with in the afterlife and Marybeth being a Hive Queen wanting to Take Over the World are stated right from the get-go, things that were huge twists in the media where they came from.
  • Limit Break: During the Bloodbath Hazel Weiss managed to get a Smash Ball, with her Final Smash having giant books fall everywhere.
  • Marshmallow Hell: Kirika, not trusting her teammate Rei, traps her in between her breasts until Rei proves trustworthy in the Bloodbath. This lasts until Kirika gets blown up by a missile.
  • Mood Whiplash: In chapter 5, after a tender scene of Noelle and Susie having some kissing practice, the next scene has Tsuyu abruptly die from a glitch.
  • Neck Snap: Trunchbull kills Braix on the fourth day by suddenly pulling her in and breaking her neck.
  • No Body Left Behind: Haru and Kirika get obliterated when a missile directly strikes them in the Bloodbath.
    • Hitori's and Tsuyu’s bodies completely glitch out of existence.
    • Ultraman 80 and Jock get vaporized as they were too close to The Magic School Bus when it exploded.
  • Noodle Incident: Mina thinks the reason she ended up here was because she mixed some drinks and her acid absorbed it, remembering several incidents where that happened.
  • No-Sell: When Marybeth attempts to brainwash Trunchbull with a parasite, Trunchbull's sheer contempt for all life (ESPECIALLY children causes the parasite to sizzle and die. And then Marybeth gets slammed into a wall and having a chalkboard fall on top of her for her troubles.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: After surviving The Magic School Bus exploding, Edd decides that he needs to get out of the school, running as fast as he can, ignoring his self-imposed rule of no running in the hallways.
  • Oh, Crap!: When Pixiefrog realizes that he's in the company of both Trunchbull and Debo Kibishydesu while humping a science room skeleton, he goes "Oh, cockdoodle.".
  • One-Winged Angel: When Marybeth absorbs the lifeforce of all the victims of the school, it causes her to grow giant
  • Out with a Bang: Several of the female contestants get killed from the tentacle monsters fucking them as the monsters drag them to their doom.
  • The Peeping Tom: Ochako and Noelle spy on Tsuyu and Susie masturbating respectively on the first night.
  • Reduced to Dust: What happens to Waai Fu when she was too close to The Magic School Bus' rocket thrust.
  • Sadist Teacher: Several of them show up to participate in this episode.
  • Sanity Slippage: Late into the episode Pixiefrog snaps and goes into the 'Every man for himself' mentality, leading him to try and kill anyone he can find.
  • The Scapegoat: What else would Mr. Crocker blame the sudden uprooting from his world on but the work of FAIRY GODPARENTS!"?
  • Senseless Sacrifice: In the Bloodbath, when Kibo Kibishydesu fires his machine-gun arm at Juno's team, Juno blocks the shots with her body to protect the group. Unfortunately, Haru and Sheila get killed shortly after this. Ellen, the only member of the team to survive, dies shortly into the first day, meaning that Juno’s sacrifice only bought the team a few minutes at most.
  • Sequel Hook: After discovering that the source of the infection is magical, Rei's given a map by Baskerra to the source of the infection to stop the zombie apocalypse for good.
  • Ship Tease: Susie and Noelle have several scenes of heavy romantic tension together, with Susie calling her a hottie early in the story. Noelle even gets a kiss from Susie when she claims she wants to be taught how to kiss.
  • Shout-Out: Whenever Mr. Lancer expresses shock at the current situation he's in, he makes a literary reference by name-dropping the title of a book, as usual for him.
    • Mina's first line has her asking if she's in one of those Danger Room styled things.
  • Spell My Name W Ith An S: Rio's name gets spelt as R'y'o in the only chapter he participates in.
  • Squashed Flat: The Red Prince and the unconscious Sheila from a giant book caused by Hazel's Final Smash landing on top of them.
    • In chapter 5 Pixiefrog gets an encyclopedia slammed onto him and Nedzu gets stomped on by Trunchbull.
  • In the first half of the final fight with Marybeth, Mrs. Mayberry gets crushed by a piece of the collapsing roof and Susie and Noelle get splattered by a tentacle.
  • Stripped to the Bone: When Trunchbull pops Mrs. Puff, the shockwave of air and sound reduces Bernadetta and Kris to skeletons.
  • Stop Hitting Yourself: After Agatha grabs Teacher Telephone, she takes TT's telephone and proceeds to beat her with it.
  • Stuffed Into A Trash Can: While Mrs. Mayberry is fighting Rei on the second day, Master Shifu bursts through a window and kicks Mrs. Mayberry in the face, sending her into a trashcan. She's stuck in it for the remainder of the chapter.
  • Surprisingly Sudden Death: After the confrontation with Susie and Trunchubull with Debo is over, Hitori retreats back to her hiding spot, making a comment about how she’s glad Rei didn't see that, since she looked ready to die from embarrassment. And then Hitori suddenly glitches out of existence. Tsuyu later glitches out of existence as well.
  • Tastes Like Chicken: Mrs. Mayberry’s opinion on how the tentacles taste after chewing on one, leading to Olsen ribbing her about how tired that line is.
    Olsen: "Really? That cliched line?"
    Mrs. Mayberry: "No, really! It tastes like chicken! Bad chicken, but chicken anyway."
  • Team Killer: Trunchbull pops Mrs. Puff in chapter 4 to do some 'pest control'.
    • Mr. Lancer drops an encyclopedia onto Pixiefrog to stop him from killing Nedzu.
  • Teeth Flying: When Hazel smacks a book into Teacher Telephone's face, it causes some teeth to fly out.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Every returning contestant dies yet again in this episode.
  • Theme Music Powerup: When the final fight between the remaining contestants against Marybeth, an English cover of the Highschool of the Dead OP theme plays over the fight, indicating that Rei will be the victorious one over Marybeth.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Korekiyo Shinguji for Team 3.
  • Total Party Wipe: Team 11 got screwed pretty hard in this episode, losing three members in just the first chapter. Its only surviving member left, Ellen, gets killed shortly into the second chapter, wiping out the team before the first day ends.
  • Trash the Set: The school the Arena takes place in gets increasingly damaged over the course of the episode due to various factors, eventually leading to the school getting completely destroyed during the remaining contestants' fight with Marybeth.
  • Troubled Fetal Position: Hitori spends her Team Introduction huddled in a ball and rolling on the floor in a panic caused by suddenly being transported here and with unfamiliar people.
    • Briax gets into this position following Rio's death.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: When Raven and Hazel prop up Mrs. Puff against the gym doors to prevent any unwanted company coming in, it blocks the only escape Brooke and Chrissy had from the tentacle beasts chasing them, causing Brooke and Chrissy to be captured and dragged to their doom.
    • During the third night Edd sleeps on the driver's seat of The Magic School Bus. While sleeping, his head accidentally slumps onto the door button, opening them. This allows a tentacle worm to enter and drag Kagura to her death.
  • Waxing Lyrical: Team 6's introduction ends with Brooke and Kagura reciting the "Please, let this be a normal field trip!/With Mrs. Frizzle? No way!" lyrics to The Magic School Bus theme song. However, they replace 'Mrs. Frizzle' with 'the Arena'.
  • We ARE Struggling Together: Several teams end up fighting with one another due to at least one member of the team being completely crazy.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: When Gunham gets dragged down into the ground and crushed, his hamsters are seen managing to escape his mangled body. However they're not seen for the rest of the episode.
  • The Worf Barrage: When trying to break out the box she and her team are trapped in, she throws her strongest ball of acid at the door, and the door doesn't even singe.
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: After spending most of her screentime puffed up and stuck as a makeshift barrier, Mrs. Puff finally manages to break free in chapter 4, only for Trunchbull to stop her and then pop her.
  • You Bastard!: Sheila yells this to Kibo Kibishydesu after he kills Juno.
  • You're Insane!: Chapter 4 ends with Marybeth talking to a wounded Shifu about her plans about using the school's secret for her plans, Shifu calls her mad shortly before she kills him.
    Shifu: "Must...warn...anybody I can."
    Marybeth: "Sorry, little guy...but I figured things out as well. And I think I like where things are going without you blabbing around."
    Shifu: "You…you would risk a great evil gaining more power for its petty gains?! You're mad!"
    Marybeth: "Maybe...because I have NOTHING to live for except seeing you pitiful things suffer." [[Slams a tentacle down onto Shifu, ending his life]].
  • Year Outside, Hour Inside: As Baskerra explains to Rei after she wins, the four days she spent trapped in the school equated to only a few minutes in her universe.
  • Zombie Apocalypse: Rei tries to use her wish to end the one that has been occurring in her universe. Unfortunately, Baskerra can't wish it away since the infection isn't natural, but magical. As a consolation prize, she gives Rei a map to the source of the infection to stop it for good.
