  • Guy - the key to Invercargill City, awarded for capturing the "Invercargill Pool Pooper"^note Although it turned out he caught the wrong person, he was allowed to keep the key (3 points)
  • Leigh - his electric guitar (2 points)
  • Angella - her anti-anxiety medication (1 point)^note The Taskmaster deemed her prize submission as "dangerous" since he doesn't like the idea of messing around with prescription medication

• Task 1: Take One of These Letters^note The alphabet letters dangling in the lab Then Make A Sculpture Of Something Starting With Your Letter. You May Only Use Items Starting With Your Letter To Construct The Sculpture.
  • Winner: Brynley - picked "S" and made a squirrel named "Sriracha" (5 points)
  • Guy - picked "M" and made a monster (4 points)
  • Madeleine - picked "D" and made a dandelion (3 points)
  • Angella - picked "T" and made "Tina's Torso" (2 points)
  • Leigh - picked "M" and made an ode to music, titled "Music", by hanging musical instruments on a hatstand ^note None of Leigh's items begin with his letter but he got around the restriction by adding the word "Musical" in front of it and calling the hatstand a "makeshift music pole" (1 point)

• Task 2: Create The Fanciest Cocktail. You May Only Use Ingredients That Rhyme With Each Other. Bonus Points May Be Earned If The Vessel Also Rhymes.
  • Winner: Leigh and Madeleine (5 points)^note The only contestants to use alcohol in their cocktails

  • Winner: Leigh - 29 metres 13 cm, using gluten-free bread and grape^note Leigh "selected" his bread by touching it before opening the task. He placed the bread on a tennis racket for extra distance (5 points)
  • Guy - 20 metres 46 cm, using brown bread and apricot(4 points)

Episode 2 - "A Political Hotcake"

    • Brynley - a set of babushka dolls made to look like the Season 1 contestants with a $50 Denny's voucher in the middle
  • Leigh - wine inside a cask disguised as books (2 points)
  • Madeleine - a nicho box^note a decorative box popular in Central and South America often used for religious displays or as commemorations to loved ones depicting a stripper (1.5 points)
  • Guy - a Gillette razor stuffed inside a loaf of sliced bread (1 point)

• Task 1: Keep The Balloon In The Air The Longest. You May Strike The Balloon But You Cannot Hold It. Every Strike Must Be With A Unique Object. Your Time Starts When You Say "Release The Balloon" Which Must Be Within 10 Minutes From Now.
  • Winner: Madeleine - 3 minutes 21 seconds^note used a petrol-powered leaf blower to keep her balloon in the air (5 points)
  • Leigh - 22 seconds (4 points)

Episode 3 - "D.A.P"

    • Brynley - a condom with the end cut off
    • Guy - a burnt-up smoke alarm supposedly from the SkyCity Convention Centre
    • Leigh - a really short garden hose extension
  • Madeleine - a robot vacuum because of its short battery life and tendency to get stuck in inconvenient places^note Received a lower score because the Taskmaster viewed it as an aspriational product (1 point)

• Task 1: Make This Tree Sexy. Sexiest Tree Wins.
  • Winner: Brynley - made the tree look like Rosie the Riveter^note And goaded the Taskmaster into placing her first to avoid looking like a sexist (5 points)
  • Madeleine - dressed the tree like a "sexy Kiwi cricketer"^note As the Taskmaster is a huge cricket fan (4 points)
  • Guy - stripped naked and climbed into the tree (3 points)
  • Leigh - trimmed the tree's "downstairs" area, affixed a photo of Chris Hemsworth on one side and Salma Hayek on the other, put a bra on the trunk, and sang a song that was Censored for Comedy (2 points)
  • Angella - got Paul to strip down to the waist, put on nipple clamps, and grind against the tree while she squirted oil and cream at him (1 point)

• Task 2: Team Task - Catch A Grape With This Tuba From The Furthest Distance. You May Not Throw The Grape. Your Distance Will Be Measured From The First Grape Successfully Caught. Bonus Points Available For Playing A Lovely Song On The Tuba While Catching The Grape.^note neither of the teams received any bonus points

• Task 3: Pack This Piñata With The Most Surprising Filling.

• Task 1: Hide One Of These Vegetables^note available vegetables are Brussell sprout, carrot, red capsicum, lettuce head and pumpkin Inside Another. If You Use The Same Vegetable-Hiding Combination As Another Comedian, You Will Both Be Disqualified. Best Unique Hidden Vegetable Combination Wins.
  • Winner: Guy^note brussell sprout inside a carrot inside a capsicum inside a pumpkin inside a lettuce (5 points)
  • Brynley^note lettuce inside a pumpkin (4 points)

• Task 2: Team Task - Create A 90-Second Long, One-Shot Film. All Of You Must Appear In It. One Of You Must Hold The Camera At All Times. Your Film Must Include Three Speaking Characters, An Impressive Stunt And Credits. You Have Thirty Minutes To Prepare And One Take To Shoot Your Film.
  • Winner: Brynley, Guy and Madeleine (4 - 1 points)^note points were deducted for Guy's acting
  • Angella and Leigh (3 points)^note Since the team of two had a disadvantage, Paul also played a role in their film. 1 point was deducted because Angella accidentally paused the recording, but another point was added because of Paul's brilliant acting.

• Task 3: Make This Mom^note Marija Proud. You Have Five Minutes To Interview The Mom And Twenty Minutes To Make Her Proud. Proudest Mom Wins
  • Winner: Angella - recreated her birth with Paul as the mother in labour (5 points)
  • Madeleine - ran an obstacle course to showcase her athletism (4 points)
  • Guy - pledged to quit his smoking habit before admitting it was a ruse to show how committed he is to not smoking (3 points)
  • Leigh - did yoga with the mom (2 points)
  • Brynley - ran a one-man race to a tree and back (1 point)

• Live Task: Write The Taskmaster An Anonymous Poem. The Poems Will Be Ranked Best To Worst. The Taskmaster Will Then Guess Who Wrote Each Poem. If He Guesses Correctly, You Do Not Keep Your Points.
  • Winner: Angella (5 points)

  • Madeleine - a water-damaged medallion of the pink and white terraces (4 points)
  • Brynley - her grandmother's cake forks set aside for Brynley when she dies (3 points)
  • Leigh - bookshelf full of foam books (2 points)
  • Guy - photograph of a racing horse his father partially owned (1 point)^note Claimed that the horse won the Wellington Cup only for the Taskmaster's Assistant, aka his own brother, to contradict him and say that it came tenth

• Task 1: Blow This Egg The Furthest From The Table. You Have Five Minutes Or Until The Egg Breaks.
  • Winner: Brynley - 2.88 metres (5 points)
  • Angella - 2.78 metres (4 points)
  • Madeleine - 33 cm (3 points)
  • Guy - 22 cm (2 points)
  • Leigh - 0 cm (1 point)

• Task 2: Be As Unhealthy As Possible. You Have Ten Minutes To Plan Then Ten Seconds To Be Unhealthy. Your Ten Seconds Will Start When You Shout "Let's Get This Party Started!".
  • Winner: Madeleine - Paul and the camera crew coughed on her while she smoked loads of cigarettes and drank beer leading to jokes in-studio about how Madeleine is actually the one who started the pandemic and bushfires(5 points)
  • Angella - her own funeral with Paul giving the eulogy of how her last moments were drowning in butter while cyber-stalking her ex-boyfriend's girlfriend (4 points)
  • Leigh - drank a "365000-calorie, anti-sport" smoothie consisting of bourbon whiskey, corn chips, pizza and chocolate (3 points)
  • Brynley - simultaneously called her ex-boyfriend, smoked her first cigarette, ate a doughnut (which inflames her polycystic ovary syndrome) and hurled insults at herself in the mirror (2 points)
  • Guy - went overly ambitious but ended up smoking tons of cigarettes whilst tanning (1 point)

• Task 3: Do The Most Impressive Thing Hands-Free.
  • Winner: Angella - set up an easel and drew a headshot of Paul using her legs and mouth respectively (5 points)
  • Brynley - painted Edvard Munch's "The Scream" mostly with her mouth (4 points)
  • Guy - kicked a bucket onto his head after 31 tries (3 points)
  • Leigh - chugged down (or waterboarded himself, as Guy pointed out) a gallon of milk as Hannibal Lecter despite being lactose-intolerant (2 points)
  • Madeleine - tying the shoelaces of a sneaker with her mouth (1 point)

• Live Task: Spell The Longest Word Using Only Letters From Your Bowl Of Alphabet Soup
  • Winner: Brynley - BREAKER (5 points)

Episode 6 - "The Problem Is Me"

  • Winner: Guy - thousands of printed-out Facebook comments regarding vaccines (5 points)
  • Angella - a mirror reflecting her anxiety of being stared at (4 points)
  • Leigh - an iron (3 points)
  • Madaleine - a sponge with crumpets attached to represent her Trypophobia (2 points)
  • Brynley - a pair of shoes with ham hocks inside^note recreating a prank that bothers her because she doesn't know why it was played on her and who's responsible for it (1 point)

• Task 1: Make The Biggest Thing Disappear.
  • Winner: Angella - the Taskmaster House by photoshopping a picture of it (5 points)
  • Madeleine - the Caravan by performing a very prolonged magic trick as a distraction (4 points)
  • Leigh - a globe, representing the earth, by disposing it into a waste bin and waiting for the garbage truck that never came (3 points)
  • Brynley - the Taskmaster cow by performing a short film with the camera crew (2 points)
  • Guy - the Taskmaster cow but poorly executed his attempt by chucking it into the lake (1 point)

• Task 2: Team Task - Gather Your Tools And Bring Them To Your Area^note  a small area of lawn squared-off by stanchions In 2 Minutes ...Then Transfer As Much Soup As You Can From The Blue Vat To The Yellow Vat In 5 Minutes.
  • Winner: Angella and Leigh - 23.2 litres (4 points)
  • Brynley, Guy and Madeleine - 1.6 litres (2 points)^note they were at a major disadvantage since none of Guy's tools (butterfly net, tennis racket, etc.) could hold liquid and had to make do with the hollow interior of a rake

• Task 3: Leave The Room. Fastest Wins. Your Time Started When Paul Left The Room.^note this was done as a secret task where Paul "forgot" something and went out of the lab, leaving the contestants alone with the task surrounded by a pile of leaves as a hint
  • Winner: Angella - 7.14 seconds (5 points)^note Left the room before she opened the task because she was concerned for the Assistant's wellbeing
  • Leigh - 24.5 seconds(4 points)
  • Guy - 26.12 seconds (3 points)
  • Madeleine - 1 min 22 seconds (2 points)
  • Brynley - 1 min 25 seconds (1 point)

• Live Task: Wearing Your Blindfold, Pop Up Before The Toast Does. You Are Only Allowed To Pop Once. If You Pop Up After The Toast, You Will Be Disqualified. The Popper Who Pops Up The Most Close To The Toast Wins.

  • Leigh - A camera purportedly from the Hillary Expedition which may or may not contain salacious photos (4 points)
  • Guy - One of his own pillows, which has a huge stain on it (3 points)
  • Madeleine - A bundle of petrified daddy longlegs (2 points)
  • Brynley - A video of Greg Davies, the Taskmaster, berating Jeremy for being too nice and ordering him to be stricter with the contestants, leading him to crack down on Brynley (1 point)

• Task 1: Find Paul And Hit Him With This Frisbee. You May Not Walk Or Run While Holding The Frisbee. Every Time You Throw The Frisbee, You Must Put On An Additional Item Of Clothing.
  • Winner: Madeleine - 8 mins 57 seconds (5 points)
  • Brynley - 16 mins 4 seconds (4 points)
  • Leigh - 26 mins 27 seconds (3 points)
  • Guy - 42 mins 56 seconds (1 point)^note noted as the longest task attempt in all of Season 1
  • Angella - 19 mins 57 seconds (Disqualified)^note tucked the frisbee into her suit, which was determined to count as carrying

• Task 2: Go On The Most-Convincing Fake Holiday. Most-Convincing Fake Holiday Wins.
  • Winner: Angella - created a travel vlog featuring various modes of transportation and simulated skydiving (5 points)
  • Brynley and Leigh (3 points)
    • Brynley - took Paul on the quintessential Kiwi road trip and claimed to pass by every major landmark in the country
    • Leigh - drove the caravan out by the pond and sat down in camping chairs with Paul while enjoying some beer
  • Guy and Madeleine (1 point)^note The Taskmaster ranked them low because their attempts were so similar and he wanted to send a message to young viewers about the dangers of fake social-media posts
    • Guy - posted photos claiming to be on holiday at Coatesville Christian Camp on Instagram, receiving 7000 likes from mainly fourteen-year-old boys
    • Madeleine - posted a fake kayaking selfie on Instagram which ended up getting thousands of real likes from famous NZ celebrities

• Task 3: Paint The Taskmaster. Your Painting Must Trick The Taskmaster Into Thinking It Was Painted By A Five-Year-Old. Your Painting Will Be Compared With This Five Year-Old's Painting. You Cannot Look At Their Painting. Best Painted Portrait That Tricks The Taskmaster Wins.^note Each contestant was paired with a different child

  • Guy - his father's annual Christmas gift to his mother, a photo album comprised of unedited Facebook photos like the time flooding happened near his house (2 points)
  • Leigh - Uncle Hank's Boston Marathon sports shorts (1 point)

• Task 2: Get Someone You Went To Primary School With On The Phone. Fastest Wins.
  • Winner: Madeleine - 22 seconds (5 points)
  • Guy - 30 seconds (4 points)^note Somehow forgot he was sitting right across from his own brother, with whom he went to primary school
  • Angella - 1 min 21 seconds (3 points)
  • Brynley - 1 min 30 seconds (2 points)
  • Leigh - 12 mins 4 seconds (1 point + 1 bonus point)^note The Taskmaster gave the point out of pity since Leigh had the disadvantage of going to primary school in Peru

• Task 3: Deduce The Flavours Of These Dips^note mints and blue cheese, chocolate and fish, hummus, pine needles and apple, and beef cheeks and sauvignon blanc. Most Dips Correctly Deduced Wins.^note the answers were hidden at the bottom of the ramekins holding the dips

  • Guy - the "ashes" of Uncle John^note Paul, his brother, confirmed they never had an Uncle John so Guy was forced to admit the ashes was kitty litter after the others tasted it (4 points)
  • Angella - a crochet doily (intended to be a beanie) for her mom (3 points)
  • Brynley - a very inaccurate replica of the Taskmaster trophy complete with googly eyes (2 points)
  • Leigh - a bag of vinegar-and-salt flavoured Snacka Changi Chips^note a brand which he had a stake in (1 point)

• Task 2: Commit A Crime. You Cannot Break The Law. You Have Ten Minutes To Plan Your Crime Then Ten Minutes To Commit It. Best Crime Wins.
  • Winner: Leigh - forgot the task mid-way during his attempt and made cheese toasties (5 points)^note the Taskmaster deemed Leigh's effort the best since not doing the task is the biggest crime of all
  • Guy - wore a homemade visible G-string and crop-top as the ultimate fashion crime (4 points)
  • Madeleine - committed several legal but annoying "crimes" which included throwing Paul's whistle off the balcony and not shaving her legs (3 points)
  • Angella - tried trademarking the Taskmaster logo (2 points)
  • Brynley - "trespassed" onto an adjacent field not knowing it was part of the Taskmaster property, spooked a flock of sheep and "stole" an animal skull then a Go-Pro (1 point)

• Task 3: Team Task - Handcuff Yourself Together At The Wrists Then Score Ten Points. Fastest Wins.^note the scoring was determined by giving compliments to each other as hinted by the complimentary mints given
  • Winner: Brynley, Guy and Madeleine - 3 minutes (4 points)
  • Angella and Leigh - 47 minutes (1 point)^note Neither Angella nor Leigh figured out the scoring system, although Angella came very close when she verbally notes that complimentary mints could mean compliments.

• Task 4: Make The Best Desert^note the contestants were provided an array of confectioneries such as candies, sherbets, cakes and gherkins to build their desert
  • Winner: Brynley (5 points)^note the only one to notice the spelling of "desert." According to Paul, the task was nearly on the chopping block because every contestant was on track to misunderstanding the task instructions. Brynley was the last person to film this task, and Paul was dismayed when she initially proceeded with the task just like the others, but when she noticed the spelling and lights up, the production kept this task in the episode edit.
  • Everyone Else (Disqualified)^note all misread the task as "Make The Best Dessert" due to the items provided tricking them into thinking otherwise

Each episode is a Title Drop made by either a participant in the show, the Taskmaster, or the Taskmaster's Assistant. In this series, the titles were provided by:

• Episode 4 - Madeleine Sami (when Jane Bond is answering the phone in Brynley, Guy, and Madeleine's short film: "Bond. Jane Bond. I'm queer, I'm here, get used to it.")
