     Episode Tally

  • Richard Herring = 5 episodes (Episodes 1, 5, 8, 9, and 10)
  • Daisy May Cooper = 2 episodes (Episode 3 and 4)
  • Johnny Vegas, Katherine Parkinson, and Mawaan Rizwan = 1 episode
    • Katherine - 1 episode (Episode 2)
    • Mawaan - 1 episode (Episode 6)
    • Johnny - 1 episode (Episode 7)

This series marks the third time the series champion has also won the most episodes. It also marks the first time any contestant has won the majority of episodes in a given series. As of this series, Richard Herring is the contestant who has won the most ever episodes of Taskmaster, the fifth champion to win his first episode, the third champion to win his final episode, and the first (and to date only) champion to win both. This is the fifth series in which each contestant has won at least one episode, and the third where each contestant has also placed last in at least one episode. It is also the first series where every contestant had single-digit scores at the end of at least one episode. This is the second series which required the greatest number of tiebreakers to decide the winner of an episode (3 tiebreakers), equaling Series 4.

     Task Tally
A breakdown of the tasks as won by the contestants is as follows:

  • Daisy May Cooper: 17 tasks (1 prize task, 10 video tasks [1 joint with Johnny, 1 joint with Johnny and Katherine, 1 joint with Richard, 1 joint with Mawaan], 2 video team tasks, 3 live tasks [1 joint with Richard], 1 live team task)
  • Mawaan Rizwan and Richard Herring: 15 tasks
    • Mawaan: 5 prize tasks, 6 video tasks [1 joint with Daisy], 2 video team tasks, 2 live team tasks [1 with Richard instead of Katherine])
    • Richard: 3 prize tasks, 3 video tasks [1 joint with Daisy], 2 video team tasks, 4 live tasks [1 joint with Daisy], 2 live team tasks [one with Johnny and Mawaan instead of Daisy], 1 tiebreaker
  • Johnny Vegas: 12 tasks (1 prize task, 5 video tasks [1 joint with Daisy, 1 joint with Daisy and Katherine], 2 video team tasksnote , 1 live task, 2 live team tasks [1 with Richard instead of Katherine], 1 tiebreaker)
  • Katherine Parkinson: 9 tasks (5 video tasks [1 joint with Daisy and Johnny], 2 video team tasks, 1 live team task, 1 tiebreaker)

Two video tasks in episode 1 and one in episode 8 had no winner as everyone was disqualified (in one of the tasks, Daisy received 1 point).

     Episode Titles
Each episode is a Title Drop made by either a participant in the show, the Taskmaster, or the Taskmaster's Assistant. In this series, the titles were provided by:

  • Episode 1: Johnny Vegas (describing his helium-filled balloons, which had escaped and were taunting him from the ceiling of the factory where he was attempting to complete the "land the most egg in the frying pan in the centre of the room" task: "God's haemorrhoid, innit?")
  • Episode 2: The Taskmaster (referring to a comment made by Johnny Vegas during the "get all the exercise balls into the hoops while in a dingy on concrete" task: "I tell you what, it's not very often you hear someone use the phrase "this is dehumanising" outside of a documentary about a despot.")
  • Episode 3: Johnny Vegas (defending his successful "catapult" in the "catapult this shoe into a bath with a home-made contraption" task when the Taskmaster challenged that it was more of a kick: "It was taped, so there was a point of swivel.")
  • Episode 4: Richard the Security Guard (discussing Richard Herring's argument about why his bag should be inspected rather than Daisy's in the "convince the security guard to look in your bag" task: "Absolute toshwash unless it's a circus act, but then I don't know.")
  • Episode 5: The Taskmaster (to Mawaan Rizwan, when asked to act aggressively towards him so that Mawaan could demonstrate the "out-of-character" assertiveness training he had as part of the "act the most out-of-character" task.)
  • Episode 6: Daisy May Cooper (a slightly paraphrased reference to what she said — or more accurately, screamed — at Richard Herring after their disastrous initial showing in the "draw the animal on your card in only straight lines for your teammate to guess" task: "It's a hippo! It's its eyes, and its nose, and it's in the-the water! Do you not think that looks like a hippo?! I even did the tail! [...] Only hippos and elephants have that kind of tail!")
  • Episode 7: Mawaan Rizwan (describing the large glass marble being used for the "design the longest marble run" task: "It's, like, legit glass, innit? Yeah, shit, okay.")
  • Episode 8: The Taskmaster (delivering punishment following everyone's disastrous attempt at the "make this cup overflowth" task, in which they were all disqualified: "Never in the history of the whole show have I felt contempt for all of them. I think we'll just have a couple of moments of silence. [Spends about a minute glaring at everyone like naughty schoolchildren] Let's just forget that ever happened.")
  • Episode 9: The Taskmaster (referring to his assistant, who for reasons unknown decided to greet the contestants arriving to the "work out how many balls are in the basket" task—the first task each of them filmed—with an airhorn: "Well, wonder why they were so nervous at old Airhorn Andy over there. Gave them a little scare, didn't you?")
  • Episode 10: The Taskmaster (describing the combined effect of the team performance of Johnny Vegas, Katherine Parkinson and Mawaan Rizwan in the "perform the most accurate karaoke to this song" task, which was ultimately adopted as their band name: "Individually, three incredible performances. Bring them together, really...if it was food, it would be a dogmeat trifle.")

This is the second series in which a participant who was neither a contestant, the Taskmaster nor the Taskmaster's Assistant has contributed an episode title. It's also the second series in which an episode title has been coined by the Taskmaster in reference to a contestant describing a task as 'dehumanising', after Series 8's "A Novel About Russian Gulags".

Taskmaster - I LOVE THIS

Having to start over her silent cocktail one too many times, Daisy May Cooper lets off some steam.

How well does it match the trope?
