NOTE: Owing to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this series was filmed without a live studio audience, although the finished episodes were subsequently screened for small audiences so their reaction could be used. Nearly all the pre-recorded tasks were filmed pre-lockdown so they were largely unaffected, though all the team tasks involving Johnny Vegas, Katherine Parkinson and Mawaan Rizwan were filmed under social distancing restrictions.

This series also marks the beginning of the show's run on Channel 4.

Episode 1 - "God's Haemorrhoid"

• Prize Task: Nicest Thing To Put In Your Mouth
  • Winner: Daisy - White wine (5 points)
  • Richard - Haloumi cheese stuffed with chili, pre-fried (4 points)
  • Johnny - Anti-reflux medicine (3 points)
  • Katherine - A brace mouth guard (2 points)
  • Mawaan - A rubber "chicken wing" teething toy, that he claims helps new vegans cope with their meat cravings (1 point)

• Task 1: Knock The Coconut Off Its Perch. Fastest Wins... A Teddy Bear^note The quicker a contestant knocked the coconut off, the larger the teddy bear they won. Then, Put All The Drinks In The Phone Box Into The Caravan Without Spilling A Drop. You Must Be Clutching The Teddy You Won At All Times. Also, You Must Not Walk On The Grass While Holding Drinks. Fastest Wins
  • Winner: N/A
  • Everyone — Disqualified^note Every contestant spilled at least one drop of the drinks, prompting the Taskmaster — who announced that he would be strictly following the rules this season — to disqualify them all. Listed below is how each contestant did regardless
    • Daisy — spilled two pints, but otherwise completed the task second quickest
    • Johnny — spilled half a pint; was also the contestant who took the longest to knock the coconut down, and thus only carried a small teddy bear, making him the contestant to complete the task quickest
    • Katherine — spilled "one drop"; completed the task fourth-quickest. Also "tippy-toe ran" across the grass
    • Mawaan — both spilled the most and took the longest time to complete the task
    • Richard — spilled "a little bit"; completed the task third-quickest

• Task 2: Make The Largest Object Properly Vanish. You May Not Use Any Editing Trickery. Largest Object Vanished Wins
  • Winner: Mawaan - disappeared both a large rubber duck behind his head and the "Taskmaster Garden Cow" (in fact a small toy cow standing in for it, with the use of perspectives) (5 points)
  • Johnny - made a "400ft" taxidermied chicken disappear behind paper after using it to destroy a paper replica of Westminster in a pro-socialist rampage (4 points)
  • Katherine and Richard (3 points)
    • Katherine - distracted the camera by acting "like a 1980s holiday presenter" while the crew hid the living room sofa behind a bookcase prop (3 points)
    • Richard - made the Taskmaster's Assistant vanish from a table with the use of a mirror
  • Daisy - hid the Taskmaster Garden Cow in a hedge (1 point)

• Task 3: Land The Most Egg In The Frying Pan In The Centre Of The Room. You May Not Throw Any Egg, You Must Stay On The Balcony, And You May Only Use The Contents Of One Of These Boxes
  • Winner: N/A^note no one managed to get any egg into the frying pan
  • Daisy (+1 bonus point)^note almost managed to get the egg into the frying pan using balloons, but tragically they ended up on the wrong side of the pan edge

• Live Task: Get The Most Balls In Your Bucket In 100 Seconds. All The Balls Must Be The Same Colour As Each Other. You Will Lose Five Points For Every Different Coloured Ball In The Bucket. You May Only Use Litter-Pickers And Must Remain On Your Spot At All Times

This episode is the first to be broadcast on Channel Four. It is also the first episode wherein more than one task has resulted in technical disqualification for all contestants^note excluding the bonus point for effort received by Daisy May Cooper in Task 3, resulting in the lowest overall distribution of points to date.

Episode 2 - "A Documentary about a Despot"

• Prize Task: The Best Thing With Loads Of Holes In It
  • Winner: Mawaan - a (horrifyingly bad) crocheted bunny, intended for his godson (5 points)
  • Katherine - extra-large red fishnet stockings, worn by her husband in a panto where he played an Ugly Sister (4 points)
  • Richard - a block of honeycomb (3 points)
  • Daisy - a crumpet (2 points)
  • Johnny - a teabag (1 point)

• Task 1: Team Task: Find The Treasure. Do Not Break The Box. Fastest Wins.
  • Winner: Katherine and Mawaan (5 points)
  • Daisy and Richard (4 points)
• In The Three Person Team, One Member (Unbeknown To The Others) Must Make A Different Noise, Of Increasing Volume, For Ten Seconds Every Minute For Twenty Minutes While Seated On An Umpire's Chair
  • Johnny (4 points)^note successfully managed to make a different noise for ten seconds every minute, though points were lost because the noises did not increase in volume. His teammates, uninformed of his task, alternated between suspecting him of deliberately distracting them, trying to offer coded assistance to them, and assuming that his noises were simply a result of "Johnny being Johnny"
    
    NOTE: This is the first team task in which the three-person team has been split into two and assigned separate tasks. Furthermore, Richard and Daisy's attempt was filmed prior to social distancing restrictions being imposed, while Johnny, Katherine and Mawaan filmed their attempt afterwards, resulting in some minor changes to the task. Also, unlike previous team tasks, the Taskmaster scored each team out of five rather than splitting the points between them.

• Task 2: Make The Best Portrait Of The Taskmaster And His Favourite Toy Using Only Balloons, Pegs, And Your Own Clothes. Your Portrait Must Fill The Frame In The Garden
  • Winner: Johnny (5 points)
  • Katherine^note Didn't realize she could inflate the balloons and just laid them out on the grass. She belatedly discovered the provided balloon pump, but thought that it was a can of squirty cream. (4 points)
  • Mawaan^note Began with an abstract representation of the Taskmaster, but decided to abandon his attempt with less than two minutes remaining. His second attempt was a much more direct portrait, but was much smaller than the frame due to lack of time. and Richard (2 points)
  • Daisy (1 point)

• Task 3: Get All The Exercise Balls Into The Hoops. You May Not Move The Hoops Or Get Out Of The Boat. Fastest Wins
  • Winner: Daisy (5 points)

  • Mawaan (Disqualified)^note Moved the hoops; had he not done so, his time would have placed him second

• Live Task: Guess The Things Making The Noise. You Will Receive One Point For Every Correct Answer. Most Accurate Guesser Wins^note The Taskmaster's Assistant is standing on the balcony behind the contestants; there are 10 different objects, with each noise being made by some combination of the two being hit together, and each contestant has a set of paddles with the names of the objects on them. In order, the items struck were a toasted sandwich maker and a wine bottle; a leg and a frying pan; a sword and a ukelele; a bugle and a toasted sandwich maker; and mallet and grill

• Tiebreaker: Select A Wind-Up Dinosaur Toy And Release It From The Starting Line. Furthest Distance Covered By Dinosaur Wins. Your Dinosaur Must Remain On The Table
  • Winner: Katherine (1 point)^note Tiebreaker tasks do not count towards the final score; the 'point' recorded here is simply to clarify the winner^note Katherine's Dinosaur made it 7cm — that is, barely off the starting point

Episode 3 - "Point of Swivel"

• Prize Task: Best Thing That Probably Has A Spring In It
  • Winner: Johnny - a one-armed bandit machine (5 points)
  • Mawaan - a mattress^note there was some minor controversy over this, as Daisy May Cooper insisted that it was probably a memory-foam mattress, not a spring-based one (4 points)
  • Richard - a penguin-themed ladder-and-slide toy that makes an annoying sound, belonging to his daughter^note upon being opened up, it was discovered that the toy did not in fact contain any springs, but the Taskmaster awarded points after conceding that, on surface level inspection, it did look like the kind of item that "probably" would contain at least one spring (3 points)
  • Katherine - a water-squirt gun (2 points)
  • Daisy - an umbrella (1 point)

• Task 1: Make The Best Upside-Down Film
  • Winner: Johnny - a charity appeal on behalf of those afflicted with "upsidedownism" (5 points)
  • Mawaan - a fairy tale about a lonely (orange) bat who meets a horse who promises to turn him the right way up in exchange for a kiss (4 points)
  • Katherine - a relationship drama between two chin-people (one of whom, according to the Taskmaster, was "mugging shamelessly") (3 points)
  • Daisy - a bizarre stop-motion short piece involving some chickens bouncing around, in which was filmed upside down so it appeared the right side up (2 points)
  • Richard - a story wherein the house Richard is in turns upside down due to a "supernatural event", leaving him stuck on the ceiling (1 point)

• Task 2: Put All The Spaghetti Into The Grapefruit. The Grapefruit May Not Leave This Room. You Have Ten Minutes; For The Last Eight Minutes You Must Stand With Your Feet On The Spot On The Floor^note after two minutes, the lights in the lab were turned off, forcing the contestants to complete the task in darkness. Most Spaghetti In The Grapefruit Wins
  • Winner: Daisy (5 points)
  • Mawaan^note there was controversy, as the count was made by measuring how much pasta was left in the jar, and Mawaan's jar was empty at the end of the task; however, on further examination it was discovered that he had sneaked out some of the pasta under the cover of darkness and disposed of it in his dressing room bin, which the others viewed as cheating. His score was permitted to stand, but he was forced to publicly admit that he was "a sneaky pasta snake". (4 points)

• Task 3: Catapult This Shoe Into The Bath Using A Home-Made Catapult Contraption. Only Your Feet May Operate The Catapult Contraption. You May Not Move The Bath Or The Red Green And You Must Build Your Catapult Contraption On The Red Green. Fastest Wins

  • Katherine^note Launched her final attempt with her foot, but guided the shoe in with her hands. This was allowed to stand because she came in last, anyway. (1 point)

• Live Task: Team Task - Draw A Picture Of The Object On Your Card. You May Not Speak Or Communicate With Your Teammates In Any Way, May Not Move The Canvas Or Turntable, And Must Stay On Your Spots Throughout. First Team To Guess The Object Wins.
  • Winner: Daisy and Richard (6 points)^note This team was tasked to draw a syringe (Daisy), a combine harvester (Richard), and lasagne (Daisy)
  • Johnny, Katherine and Mawaan (0 points)^note This team was tasked to draw a clarinet (Mawaan), a photocopier (Katherine), and a sandbox (Johnny)

Episode 4 - "Toshwash"

• Prize Task: Cheekiest Food
  • Winner: Mawaan - lentils and rice in a Tupperware container... which is his housemate's lunch, stolen by Mawaan while making "a cheeky face" (5 points)
  • Katherine - a "bum cake"^note purportedly a cake in the shape of a bottom, in actuality it was a small bakery-bought pistachio and rose cake with a line cut into the middle of it, not especially bum-like, after her initial home-made effort took too long to make. (4 points)
  • Richard - beef cheeks (3 points)
  • Daisy - a single slice of Billy Bear ham (2 points)
  • Johnny - over-buttered bread inserted into a cup of Pot Noodle to mop up the gravy, shaped to vaguely look like a bum (1 point)

• Task 1: Make This Phone Ring. Fastest Wins^note The phone number is 07845229563. Clues to the phone number are hidden in various lockers, and the contestants must solve various riddles to find the correct lockers.
  • Winner: Richard - 10 minutes (5 points)
  • Daisy - 11 minutes 20 seconds (4 points)^note Obtained all but the last clue and brute-forced the last digit
  • Mawaan - 17 minutes 7 seconds (3 points)^note First attempted to trigger the phone's ringtone through settings, then attempted to call his own phone to get a callback number, only to be informed by the Taskmaster's Assistant that the task phone had no credit and could only receive calls
  • Katherine - 20 minutes 46 seconds (2 points)
  • Johnny - "just under half an hour" (1 point)

• Task 2: "Team" Task - Secretly Put Something That Looks Amazing In Your Bag. Then, Convince The Security Guard^note Richard To Look Inside Your Bag Without Revealing What Is Inside (Though You May Describe It). You Must Stay On Your Spot At All Times And Will Have Only Ten Seconds At A Time To Make Your Case
  • Daisy^note A doll's head with a cactus inside (5 points) and Richard^note a replica of Michelangelo's David (0 points)
  • Johnny^note a birdcage with some dolls (made in the likeness of the Series 7 cast) inside (5 points), Katherine^note a replica of Michelangelo's David and Mawaan^note a mannequin torso (0 points)
    
    This team task differs from the others, in that rather than cooperating, the team members were competing against each other and not against the other team. The winning member of each team is highlighted.

• Task 3: Drop This Water Balloon From The Greatest Height Without It Bursting. You May Not Damage The Water Balloon Or Remove Any Water From It. You Have Ten Minutes And One Attempt
  • Winner: Daisy, Johnny and Katherine - 7.35 metres^note the maximum height the crane could reach (5 points)
  • Richard - 3.5 meters (4 points)
  • Mawaan - 1.725 meters (3 points)

• Live Task: Roll An Edible Sphere^note The edible sphere options were an apple, a tomato, an orange, a kiwifruit, and a Scotch egg Across The Finish Line Using Only A Pipe. The Contestant Whose Edible Sphere Crosses The Line First Each Round Is Eliminated. If An Edible Sphere Stops Moving Before Reaching The Line, The Contestant Is Eliminated. Slowest Roller Wins

• Task 1: Bag The Heaviest Thing From The Furthest Distance. Your Attempt Ends When You Have Bagged An Item. Highest Score Wins^note Weight in grams X Distance in cm = Score
  • Winner: Katherine^note 47 million, based partly on her (somewhat unlikely) claim to be 28 stone in weight, the same as the Taskmaster (5 points)
  • Richard^note score: 4.1 million (4 points)
  • Mawaan^note score: 2.6 million (3 points)
  • Daisy^note score: 1.8 million (2 points)
  • Johnny^note score: 1 million — while he put the most and heaviest objects in his bag, including a man he pulled off the street, it was ruled that they only entered the bag from a distance of 10 cm (1 point)

• Task 2: Paint A Picture Of A Howling Wolf On This (Slowly Rotating) Teapot. You May Not Touch The Teapot Or Remove It From The Turntable, And You May Not Tamper With The Turntable Or Its Power Source. The Turntable Will Keep Speeding Up Until You Have Named Twenty US States. If You Do Name Twenty US States The Teapot Will Slow Down
  • Winner: Daisy^note identified eighteen US states and Richard^note identified twenty US states (5 points)
  • Johnny^note identified eight US states (3 points)
  • Mawaan^note identified twenty US states (2 points)
  • Katherine^note identified zero US states, and completely failed to spot any of the Assistant's hints (1 point)

• Task 3: Do Something Out Of Character With This £20. Most Out Of Character Thing Wins. You Have Three Months
  • Winner: Daisy and Mawaan (5 points)
    • Daisy - invested in a subscription to Portable Restroom Operator magazine
    • Mawaan - bought and used a £20 voucher for an assertiveness training course, which he subsequently used to aid himself in an argument with the Taskmaster over his sneakers
  • Johnny and Richard (4 points)
    • Johnny - went to a beautician and had both his underarm hair removed and the letters "TM" embossed into his torso via waxing
    • Richard - had a tarot card reading
  • Katherine - lied about depositing the £20 in her bank when, in fact, she'd spent it — the frivolity was in-character for her while the lying was out-of-character (3 points)

• Task 4: Team Task - Eat The Most Watermelon. The Watermelon Must Not Leave The Lab, And You Must Wear A Boiler Suit And Safety Goggles At All Times. You Must Not Feed Yourself.^note Johnny, Katherine and Mawaan performed the task under social distancing requirements, and so were given the additional requirements of only being permitted to eat the individual watermelon they were provided with, and not being permitted to leave their assigned spots. Their watermelon was cut and prepared and each were provided with an individial grabber for assistance
  • Winner: Daisy and Richard (5 points)
  • Johnny, Katherine and Mawaan (3 points)^note bonus points awarded due to the difficulty of the additional requirements that social distancing placed on them

• Live Task: Say The Most Different Words Without Hesitating For More Than Two Seconds. Any Words Already Said Will Not Count. The Person Who Says The Fewest Words Each Round Is Eliminated. The Person In Last Place Goes First^note the amount of letters in the words required for each round increased; Round 1 required three-letter words, Round 2 four letter words, and so forth

Episode 6 - "Hippopotamus"

• Prize Task: The Most Narcissistic Thing
  • Winner: Mawaan - a collage of pictures of himself, taken from a shrine he constructed to himself as a teenager (5 points)
  • Johnny - custom Lego minifigs of himself at various stages of his life and career (4 points)
  • Katherine - a face-cast of herself that she decided to paint during lockdown, with the result that she has "accidentally made [herself] into a nature goddess" (3 points)
  • Daisy and Richard (2 points)
    • Daisy - a sculpture of her own face, developed as a promo for This Country
    • Richard - a jigsaw of himself

• Task 1: Silently Make The Tastiest And Prettiest Cocktail With The Coolest Name. If You Make Any Noise Over 60db, You Must Pour What You've Prepared Into The Bucket, Shout At A Volume Of Over 100db^note each contestant was given a different slogan to shout; Mawaan = "I'm So Sorry!", Johnny = "I've Done It Again!" Daisy = "I Love This!", Katherine = "Woof!", Richard = "Failure!" And Start Again
  • Winner: Mawaan - The "Bin Juice"^note poured the contents of his reject bucket into the glass and served that as his cocktail; wine, milk, egg, orange, a bit of hair, ice, a beer bottle top. Although it wasn't the nicest tasting according to the Taskmaster's Assistant, his concept and creativity was deemed worthy of victory (5 points)
  • Johnny - The "Cloudy Mule"^note Coke, champagne, lemon and lime, a sparkler, olives, and some of Johnny's spittle. Was deemed "surprisingly nice". (4 points)
  • Richard - The "It Doesn't Matterhorne"^note Vodka and rhubarb drink (3 points)
  • Daisy - The "Fuck Sake"^note warm vodka, "a bit of" lime juice, and a closed cocktail umbrella (2 points)
  • Katherine - "Milk"^note having run out of ingredients during her efforts, she was reduced to simply pouring a serve of milk into the glass (1 point)

• Task 2: Draw The Animal^note a duck That Is Watching You (Through Mirrored Glass)^note a switch in the room allowed the contestant to turn on a light which would reveal what was in the room; however, every time the switch was activated the contestant would lose one minute of time. The Animal Is Wearing A Hat^note a fez. You May Not Leave The Room And You Must Look In The Mirror At All Times. Most Accurate Drawing In Five Minutes Wins
  • Winner: Johnny (5 points)^note failed to identity the animal; reasoned that he was an animal looking at himself in a mirror while wearing a hat, drew a self-portrait
  • Daisy (4 points)

• Task 3: Get The Most Water From Barrel A Into Barrel B. You May Not Move A Barrel In The First Five Minutes. You Have Ten Minutes^note Barrel A also had a plug in the back that was removed when the contestant said "Your time starts now", gradually decreasing the level of water inside
  • Winner: Mawaan^note 16 inches; hit on the idea of balancing Barrel A on top of Barrel B and running a hosepipe through it, thus transferring different water from Barrel A to Barrel B (5 points)
  • Daisy^note 12.5 inches of water (4 points)
  • Richard^note 12 inches of water (3 points)
  • Johnny^note 10 inches (2 points)
  • Katherine^note 7 inches (1 point)

• Task 1: Fill This Cup So That It Overfloweth. The Cup Must Remain Atop The Cup-Pole At All Times. Only Liquids May Touch The "Red Green". Fastest Wins

  • Everyone (Disqualified)^note All contestants either touched or dropped something non-liquid on the red green; Johnny dropped a large mallet onto it while trying to hook the cup-pole, Mawaan accidentally stepped on it, Daisy dropped the task onto it, Richard unwittingly walked over it, and Katherine, while attempting to loop the cup-pole with a hula-hoop, dropped the hula-hoop onto it. The Taskmaster was so unimpressed that not only did he disqualify everyone, he demanded a few moments of silence so that they could "think about what they'd done" while glaring sternly at them..   • Winner: Richard^note parts: Parker, an ex-American football player hiding (and, according to the Taskmaster, apparently masturbating) in a bush in the first two performances; every character in the third. Owing to the amount of roles he had in the last scene, his character in the first two had no lines. (5 points)
  • Johnny^note parts: Dr Buckley, the mysterious and menacing Geordie doctor, and Nicky, the excitable Scottish police officer with a cold. (4 points)

• Task 3: Drink One Full Tablespoon Of Coconut Water. If You Use The Same Method Of Extraction As Another Contestant, You Will Be Disqualified. Fastest Wins
  • Winner: Katherine^note "Extracted" coconut juice from the fridge, where a carton had been placed for the contestants. Was technically the slowest, but her effort was deemed the most imaginative. (5 points)
  • Richard^note Used a hammer and screwdriver to crack the coconut, like Johnny, but proceeded to pour water onto the tablespoon. Was technically the quickest to extract water, but points were docked due to the lack of creativity in his attempt and its similarities to other contestants (4 points)
  • Johnny^note Although he also used a hammer, unlike Daisy and Mawaan he also used a screwdriver to punch a single hole into the coconut, and unlike Richard he used the straw to suck water out. Was technically the second quickest, but like Richard lost a point due to lack of creativity and similarities to other contestants (3 points)
  • Daisy and Mawaan (Disqualified)^note each used a hammer to crack the coconut and a tablespoon to extract water from the coconut

• Live Task: Team Task^note the teams were changed into "boys" (Johnny, Mawaan and Richard) and "girls" (Daisy and Katherine) after the "fireworks" of the previous live team task - Stare At Your Opponent Without Blinking. You Must Both Be Pulling The Face That The Taskmaster Chooses. First Person To Blink, Look Away Or Do The Wrong Expression Loses. Each Team Member Gets Two Points For Each Team Victory

You May Choose The Order To Open The Doors In Any Order. You May Only Move When A Door Is Being Opened And Must Stay Behind The White Line At All Times. This series marks the third time the series champion has also won the most episodes. It also marks the first time any contestant has won the majority of episodes in a given series. As of this series, Richard Herring is the contestant who has won the most ever episodes of Taskmaster, the fifth champion to win his first episode, the third champion to win his final episode, and the first (and to date only) champion to win both. This is the fifth series in which each contestant has won at least one episode, and the third where each contestant has also placed last in at least one episode. It is also the first series where every contestant had single-digit scores at the end of at least one episode. This is the second series which required the greatest number of tiebreakers to decide the winner of an episode (3 tiebreakers), equaling Series 4.

• Episode 1: Johnny Vegas (describing his helium-filled balloons, which had escaped and were taunting him from the ceiling of the factory where he was attempting to complete the "land the most egg in the frying pan in the centre of the room" task: "God's haemorrhoid, innit?")
• Episode 2: The Taskmaster (referring to a comment made by Johnny Vegas during the "get all the exercise balls into the hoops while in a dingy on concrete" task: "I tell you what, it's not very often you hear someone use the phrase "this is dehumanising" outside of a documentary about a despot.")
• Episode 3: Johnny Vegas (defending his successful "catapult" in the "catapult this shoe into a bath with a home-made contraption" task when the Taskmaster challenged that it was more of a kick: "It was taped, so there was a point of swivel.")
• Episode 4: Richard the Security Guard (discussing Richard Herring's argument about why his bag should be inspected rather than Daisy's in the "convince the security guard to look in your bag" task: "Absolute toshwash unless it's a circus act, but then I don't know.")
• Episode 5: The Taskmaster (to Mawaan Rizwan, when asked to act aggressively towards him so that Mawaan could demonstrate the "out-of-character" assertiveness training he had as part of the "act the most out-of-character" task.)

• Episode 10: The Taskmaster (describing the combined effect of the team performance of Johnny Vegas, Katherine Parkinson and Mawaan Rizwan in the "perform the most accurate karaoke to this song" task, which was ultimately adopted as their band name: "Individually, three incredible performances. Bring them together, really...if it was food, it would be a dogmeat trifle.")

This is the second series in which a participant who was neither a contestant, the Taskmaster nor the Taskmaster's Assistant has contributed an episode title. It's also the second series in which an episode title has been coined by the Taskmaster in reference to a contestant describing a task as 'dehumanising', after Series 8's "A Novel About Russian Gulags".
