An overview of the tasks and winners of the New Zealand adaptation of Taskmaster. Each episode is hosted by Jeremy Wells as the Taskmaster, with Paul Williams as his assistant (and the co-creator of the tasks).

  1. Season 1: 10 episodes, first NZ broadcast 21/10/2020 - 23/12/2020. Contestants were:

Commentary:

  • David Correos's official series score is 154 points, but a sum of his episode scores yields a total of 156 points. While this discrepancy does not affect his series ranking, it would put him in 7th in the overall rankings, overtaking Madeleine Sami.
  • Due to an unusual prize task score in "A Political Hot Cake", Madeleine Sami is the only contestant with an official series score that is not a whole number.

Commentary:

  • No series winner has failed to win at least two episodes.
  • The highest episode score is 27 points, which was achieved by Chris Parker in S3E08, while the lowest episode score is 6 points, which was achieved by Guy Williams in S1E02. The lowest winning episode score is 15 points, which was achieve by Laura Daniel and Karen O'Leary in S2E07 and S4E05, respectively. the highest losing episode score is 16 points, which was achieved by Justine Smith and Paul Ego in S3E08.
  • It took Ray O'Leary the longest to win an episode, winning episode 8 of his series. The next longest drought is Leigh Hart and Bubbah, whose first episode wins were episode 7 of their series.
  • Justine Smith is the only contestant who has failed to win an episode. Her closest opportunity was in "Sweet Navel Orange" in which she tied with the most points but lost the tiebreaker to Chris Parker.
  • There have been three episodes ending with a tiebreaker scenario. Melanie Bracewell is the only contestant to have been involved in more than one tiebreaker task and to have won more than one.
  • In addition to the number of episode wins, Chris Parker holds the record for the longest streak of episode wins (a 4-episode streak from episodes 6 through 9 of his season).

     Champions Ranking 
The champions of each season and their main series scores are listed below.

  1. Josh Thomson - Season 3 (177 points)
  2. Laura Daniel - Season 2 (163 points)
  3. Melanie Bracewell - Season 4 (159 points)
  4. Angella Dravid - Season 1 (158 points)

Commentary:

  • Of the champions, only Melanie Bracewell has won the most number of episodes (four) in her series. The others were beaten by Brynley Stent (Season 1) and Guy Montgomery (Season 2) with 3 episodes each and Chris Parker (Season 3) with 5 episodes.
  • Three champions are female and one is male. The three female champions hail from the North Island and the sole male champion comes from the South Island. Three champions have a Pacific Islander background (Samoan, Cook Islands Māori, and Tongan).
  • Champions have won at least one of the first two episodes of their series. The lone exception is Angella Dravid, who did not win her first episode until episode 6.
  • Josh Thomson and Melanie Bracewell won both the first and last episodes of their series. Angella is the only champion who placed last in both the first and last episode of her series.

     Title Droppers 
Each episode title is a Title Drop delivered by either Jeremy Wells, Paul Williams, or one of the series contestants. Of the 30 episodes broadcast through 2022:

  • 4 episodes have been named by Urzila Carlson, Paul Ego, Matt Heath, Guy Williams
  • 2 episodes have been named by Laura Daniel, Angella Dravid, Leigh Hart, Chris Parker, Madeleine Sami, Josh Thomson
  • 1 episode have been named by Kura Forrester and Paul Williams

Of the exceptions:

  • 1 episode has its title taken directly from the the text of a task(S3E8, "Best Friends", comes from the task to make a best friend from a dummy and the best best friend with the best backstory wins).

     The Folder of the Damned 
In order of total points scored, the lowest scoring contestants of each season are:

  1. Justine Smith - Season 3 (143 points)
  2. Urzila Carlson - Season 2 (141 points)
  3. Karen O'Leary - Season 4 (136 points)
  4. Guy Williams - Season 1 (131 points)

Commentary:

  • Karen O'Leary is the only loser to win more than one episode. Justine is the only loser not to win an episode.
